Oh Polygon, love my Siskiu T8. Brought it purely from a best bike for budget and love the way it handles.
Sick! Also love my T8🤘🏻
That's a sick looking bike.
It’s such a good build! All my favourite parts right out of the box!🫶🏻
Keep up on the vids
Cheers homie! Will do!🤜🏼🤛🏼
Dude I got one I love it, Totally agree with you...
Nice!👌🏻
Hi nice video, would like to ask how tall you are? Size medium fill fit on the 5'6 rider?
Hey thx! 🫶🏻 I’m 5’9” and ride the medium… it’s got a pretty long reach and might recommend the small for 5’6” but that’s just me. Try to find a friend with a bike with similar reach numbers or any bike from the bike shop! Either way, it’s a sick bike and I’ve been loving it!🤘🏻
I have a used carbon bike that I’m currently trying to pull a seized seat post out of, so yeah, aluminum isn’t bad
I like riding an acoustic bike. Even though I only like downhill I kind of need the fitness, although, I like the idea of e-bikes in the sense that you can essentially ride all day without running out of gas, which just means more time for jumps! (I also can't afford an e-bike, well, except for this one)
I love riding my acoustic bike too! But these days, the time I get to ride is limited so packing more fun into each ride is priceless!
i burn more calories on my emtb, but max heart rate is definitely lowered (avg emtb ride: 2800 cal burned; avg acoustic ride: 2500 cal burned, using same measuring device). Nothing stopping you from mashing on the pedals to hit 180bpm+ if you so choose. I got addicted to the much faster avg speeds of emtbs and acoustic bikes feel like slow motion now. My tech skills exploded since the emtb probably cuz my miles doubled and I'm travelling at faster speeds. Also, man handling a 50lb bike on tight switch backs really force you to get your technique right. Did I say i packed on a few lbs of upper body muscle?
I'm just too worried about battery fires to consider buying one
Yeah valid concern but Shimano uses smart chargers that shut off when the battery is charged… most fires start with the cheap chargers that don’t have that feature… they just keep feeding the battery power and overheat.
@@TopToBottomMTB not every fire happens during charging though. Batteries can have thermal runaway during heavy use or after experiencing trauma such as vibrations or moisture exposure, which could cause a forest fire that burns my house down too I guess. After having a wireless security camera fire with a small single cell inside my house I am just paranoid now
As a firefighter in one of the biggest cities in the world I can tell you the issue is not with these higher end batteries. The problem is with the cheap batteries from over seas and people who refurbish them and do so improperly
@@bearjewmtb4827 just curious if you think that is the cause of all the Tesla fires that I have seen as well?
Would you be able to make a future video that reviews the Mullet Honeymaker and/or Peacemaker? I can't seem to find any decent reviews and would love to hear your opinion.
What’s a honey maker?
@@TopToBottomMTBthe Honeymaker is a hardtail. It's made by Mullet Cycles. It's quite unique.
@denisst-amour9512 never heard of it…
Polygon is seriously a world class brand! It so fun to ride my N9!
Love it!🫶🏻
I love my N8E, it’s amazing. It’s my one bike quiver killer…but I do have a Hardtail though.
Sick!🤜🏼🤛🏼
Great video, and bike! I think that bike would be awesome on MT. Fromme, easy up, fun down… instead of 1 hour of hard up for only a little bit of fun down. Anyways, great vid, have a great day!
You know it! 17 minutes to the top of seventh secret…🤘🏻
Thinking about getting one. You mention in the video that yours is a medium. Mind telling us how tall you are and how the medium fits you?
great video. curious to know, how do you compare this to the T7E 🤙
Thx Josh! The main advantage of the T7e is the ability to make it a mullet. If you don’t care about that, the Collosus is better in every way for only $700 more.👌🏻
Thanks Ben much appreciated
@@joshdickinson Anytime! 🤜🏼🤛🏼
I love Polygon bikes. They don't over charge like every other big brand
🫶🏻 Just great Bang-for-Buck!
@@TopToBottomMTB I think it's the best value for the price
@brandon-kg2vd definitely hard to beat!
This should have been flagged as a paid advertisement
I am not paid by Polygon in any way. The bikes are lent to me for a few months and most often sent back. Unless I buy it. I genuinely love these bikes as I feel they’re incredible value and just want more people to know about them so more people get out on the trails and have fun!🤘🏻
Ok, good to know. But I'm already sold to Commencal. I bought a Meta TR V4 Ride after seeing your video for the best trail bikes this year. Absolutely love it! Thanks for your videos, quality is always amazing 🙂
@@TopToBottomMTBi have respect towards polygon and bikesonline in general but im not a fan of the colossus bikes that much, they seem heavy and over engineered
Aluminium all the way !! The colossus look good and the mullet youve done is sick.. Btw your funny and your videos rips !! Hi from QC Canada
Thanks homie! By the way, I was born in Laval! 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Videos interessante valeu
No problem! Thanks for watching! 🤜🏼🤛🏼
I’ve been looking at this bike for a long time. It’s the best value for any eMTB I’ve looked at. How is its weight compared to other alloy eMTB? If you can convince me that this is not the heaviest in its class, I’ll buy it!
All the alloy e-mtb are in the 55lbs range... Got mine down to 52lbs after changing a few things on it. It's amazingly fast and the build kit is just perfect! If you're ordering one, Please consider using my link! It helps out a ton! Cheers! bikesonline-usa.sjv.io/g1aQ5X
@@TopToBottomMTBwhat did you change out to make it lighter? I just got one myself and I’m looking for ideas. Maybe a good idea for another vid? I’m thinking a carbon one up bar and oneup seatpost, lighter saddle, tubeless, carbon hoops might drop a few lbs? Any other ideas?
@@boulderghost4457 all that’ll probably shave a good 4-5 lbs… that should do the trick!
Im looking at some polygons just now non Ebike they have a great write up
I don’t hate eBikes and I have tried some, they are fun AF! The reason I don’t own or really care to buy one is simple. I like my lightweight hardtail’s and gravel bikes. I will also be building up a lightweight full suspension aggressive trail bike when I decide on the frame I want.I admittedly am a weight weenie and like to ride a bike that is light. I only weigh 150 and I don’t need a motor to get in more miles. I only have a limited amount of time to ride and like to make it count as my cardio for the day. So for me a bike that is heavy, is not really what I want to ride. I know that some e-bikes are becoming lighter but it seems like it would limit the exploration aspect.
My only problem with a battery powered bike is what an environmental disaster it is to make the battery. Not to mention, as we are finding out, the human cost of the mining process. Of course, this goes double (triple, quadruple..?) for the battery cars and trucks.
Agreed… it’s sad what’s happening in that part of the world. Sure there will be some sort of regulations put in place as the need for those minerals gets increased…🤞🏻
I just rode a E bike for the first time a few days ago it will definitely have you spoiled
Yeah that’s for sure! A lot more fun packed into the ride!🤘🏻
I wont buy an ebike because i cant afford one. I also like climbing, it just makes the downhill sections all the more rewarding.
I got a triggered question....
Can it run 27.5 plus??
I just bought this bike. I love it but pedal strikes are a thing with it. It's it just me or has this been your experience too
You might be running a bit too much sag…🤷🏻♂️
I had the same problem on my Polygon Mt Bromo N8. Just up the pressure in the rear shock to 175psi.@@TopToBottomMTB
its a ploygon n8e i think
knew it
🫶🏻🤣Love it!
Nope won't touch carbon! I worked with it for years why people say it's stonger rhan alloy myth! We have a carbon frame restoration place here in the UK the amount of unrepairable frames is mounting up and its sickening that we can repair them! Some can most can't be repaired, getting carbon welding perfect is not easy the brand names on these 200+ frames in the repair pile is crazy now! They seem to have just got more and more the past 2 or 3 years the ER version being the original carbon they used now using weaker carbon on bikes its all for profits
I'll never ride an e-bike cause what's the point of cycling if you're just trying to burn less fat? (Also they're too expensive)
Prices are definitely coming down and if burning fat is what you’re after, the e-bike helps keep your heart rate in the fat burning zone rather than the anaerobic zone.
Pisses me off you show American prices yet live in Canada
Yeah… wish I didn’t have to use freedom units but 80% of my audience is from the US… 🤷🏻♂️
They still have that same shitty saddle though! 🤣 Why is it so ugly? It's fine though, I'd replace it no matter what they throw on it.
takes cardio out of mtb
Ooh… sorry but I disagree. I burn just as many calories as I can for longer. Also my heart rate stays in the fat burn zone and never really goes anaerobic. On top of that I’m getting more of an upper body workout muscling the heavier bike around.🤘🏻You gotta try it!
Top To Bottom nailed it! I raced XC on my 170mm travel e-bike in boost and averaged 178 bpm for an hour and a half😂
I guess if you DON’T want cardio you can maybe figure how to forego it on an ebike easier🤷♂️
I get less of a work out on my analog when I take my wife biking and match her pace.
Wont buy a carbon frame bike, but I learned my lesson with Polygon and their garbage frames and horrible customer service. In a reputable brand, I could get onboard, but….never again.
Yeah I can understand carbon for a XC or gravel bike but not for enduro or E-bike.
Aluminum frames break too. All the time.
@@bearjewmtb4827 Of course, but at nowhere near the rate that carbon fiber does.
Had experience with buying 2 x Polygons from Bikesonline over last 3 years, in Australia. No problem with the build quality but their customer service is woeful. They resist responding to any enquiries except orders to buy a new bike! But, I love my Mt Bromo N8, now rebadged the Collusus N8 E.
Won't be triggered if I don't watch the vid.
Got me there… but thanks for the comment! 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Did I just wasted 7min to know it’s an ebike🙄
Dude, not cool.
Didn’t mean to make you mad but I did warn you in the title as well as throughout the video… I recognize e-MTBs are polarizing in the industry but had to show it off as it’s too sick to pass up.
