The NEW Polygon Collosus is ON SALE NOW!!
$400 OFF! bikesonline-usa.sjv.io/B000NL
I was thinking about getting the trek slash 8 but came across a random video of this bike. I looked it up, and im impressed. You need to advertise this bike better, pollygon
Well done bro! Great shots of the bike, and perfectly edited overview of the bike 🤘🏻
Thanks Homie! When are you uploading your video?
Solid Bike, and rad edit! We dig the videos, brother! Keep them coming!
We look forward to seeing you shred on your new Steed🤙🏼
Thx! I appreciate you! Shredding there will be!🤘🏻You guys keep it up too! Love seeing the boy’s progress!
@@TopToBottomMTB thanks! Stoked you like our vids.
We are having a blast on our adventures, and creating lasting memories along the way.
This channel is to underrated
Thanks Homie!🤜🏼🤛🏼

@@aviationboy_888 Off to Prison with you!. 👮♂️
What an interesting build spec. Polygon continues to impress me in the value category. I'm sure the Deore level cassette is fine, prioritizing the upgrade to XT shifter is a really good value move. I'm more of a fan of mineral oil brakes but I think it's interesting to see a mix and match of Shimano and SRAM.
Me too! I was surprised to see the Sram Code Rs on there… I’ll give them a shot and then I have a set of TRP DH-R EVOs to try on… excited to try those.😀
@@TopToBottomMTBi have never try TRP brake before.dont know how it feeling when breaking
If sram is used, the price Will slightly be increasing.
But this bike weighs over 40 pounds
That bike is a work of art 🎉 O and awesome video man keep up the good and hard work 👍
Thanks Homie! 🤜🏼🤛🏼 Glad to hear you’re enjoying the vids. Cheers!
I run Shimano brakes because they are simple in maintenance and I love the one finger lever design because the curve in the lever feels like it locks my fingers in place and they dont slide around
Great video and beautiful bike! My bike has TRP Slate EVO, 4 Piston brakes...Awesome brakes! They are right there when you need them.
Sick! Can’t wait to try TRP brakes… I have a set of DH-R EVOs to install on this beauty, just wanna see what it’s like stock first though…🤘🏻
Cant beat the value on this! These higher end Polygon bikes are too underrated..
Couldn’t of said it better myself! Such a sick bike for the price.
I rode this bike when my local distributor opened up a public test ride day for these. I had a Polygon T8 before and this is even better. The bike is quite heavy, but you dont really feel it when riding. It's one of those bikes that hides their weight really well when you're riding it. This N9 climbs decent, but where it shines is on the downhills. It really does glide down the rough sections with ease and with its great value for money, it really is one of the best enduros up for sale now.
Thanks for chiming in KonKey! Cheers!
🤜🏼🤛🏼
Gorgeous beast
Sure is! 👌🏻
Be interesting to see if the top tube cracks at the weld joint for the seat tube…..I’ve had two polygon frames crack in that spot. The wheels are utter crap…I had to replace them within months. The rims had cracks on almost every hole
Simply magnificent 👏👏👏👏👏
Cheers!🍻
Team T8. This bike looks look amazing, and the price is even amaze balls.
🤘🏻
My choice of breaks are the Magura mt5, because they have a super bitey feel, and because of the 4 positions, you get a ton of stopping power!
Thanks!🤜🏼🤛🏼
I've got a set of shimano mt200s on my bike
They work pretty well for xc and light enduro but wouldn't mind a bit more power for dirt jumps and steep technical trails.
I mainly just like that they need basically no maintenance.
Thanks!🤜🏼🤛🏼
close to perfect
Yeah… might change a few things. But one things for sure, it’s gonna be a fun bike to ride this year!🤘🏻
Very cool man, i have t8 and i Wish to buy this bike❤
T8 is a great bike! I ride mine all the time! It’s such a fun bike!🤘🏻
Looks like a ton of bearings to maintain.
Time will tell…🤷🏻♂️
True uneccasarilly complicated. And it weighs over 40 pounds
Brakes. G2s on my Devinci... 203 routers. And Maguras on my Knolly. You couldn't have two more different feeling sets. The Srams absolutely feel soft through most of the stroke, but they do lock up. You just have to know where. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that they don't overheat and fade so easily. The German made Magura brakes have instant bite. My brake of choice. If you like the Shimano feel... You have to be conscious bouncing between the two. I have confidence in both.
Yeah good point! Thanks!🤜🏼🤛🏼
I love the MT5 Maguras. I thought they might bite too hard but the modulation is so good, I found myself driving faster cause I can confidently brake late with a lot of feel. Also I like the angle on radial pumps much more, like on motorbikes the lever goes inward only instead of slightly outward at first. Just feels better to me, especially braking with one finger.
almost makes me wish i waited. just bought new Stumpy EVO delivered to my door for $3,300 but i really like that poly 460 reach !
Both great bikes! Either way… you’re gonna have an awesome time ripping up the trails this summer!🤘🏻
I got several second hand Shimano, Deore or SLX dual pots (5 to 10yo?), paid around 50 quids, easy to service, with parts easily available. They work plenty enough with 180mm rotors.
Tried some SRAM with similar mileage, did not find them reliable and the paint was always eaten up by their brake fluid.
Mine is 16,320 kilos. Love it when riding it, but hate it when loading it to pickup truck.
Nice bike
Thanks homie!
I was watching this with my mom (English teacher ) in the background and she said you should say “between you and me” and never “between you and I “ as the latter kills grammatically incorrect forest cats. 😂
🤣 I hate cats 😐… jk
Pls asap tell us how it rides. Been searching for my first full sus and this one in the cart for quite a while. Been watching reviews saying its too heavy but hey I'm all for push up pedal down kind of person
Took it on 2 rides so far and it does NOT feet heavy at all! It pedals so efficiently that I do t even need the climb switch. Such a great bike! I love it! If your in the market and like this bike, buy it now before they sell out of your size. So many people like you are getting a new bike in spring. Oh and if you don’t mind helping a brother out, please use my link in the video description. Bikes online gives me a little kick back! Cheers! 🤜🏼🤛🏼
The hays iv ridden at the shop are👌but my favorite are the trp evos or shimano xtr’s I liked my rsc but not enough
Got a set of DH-r EVOs to put on this beauty! Can't wait to try them!!
Universal derailleur hanger?
Would be nice to see them come out with a carbon frame, would be nice to see a polygon that isn't so heavy even the short travel bikes are over 35 lbs
Yeah… just what you get with cost effective parts… they work great, are very reliable but slightly heavier than the parts that cost twice as much. If you ask me, I don’t count grams so it’s all good!👌🏻
Great looking bike. Would have preferred to see Deore 6120 brakes rather than TRP but hey that's an easy fix.
Wow the welds on it are so clean, I would have thought it was carbon if u hadn't said it was alu
Yeah! It is super clean!👌🏻
Holy bearings Batman! 37lbs!
Yep!🥵
The ride is so good though…
I have sram code r and they are great but I still like more bite
Yeah… we’ll see…
I think you are located in BC right. How are you able to get bikes online to ship to Canada?
MEC is starting to carry a few models now… But if you’re after something specific from bikes online… There is a place right across the border in Blaine called “mail boxes international” you can get it shipped there and just go pick it up.🤘🏻. Done it twice now, works great!
Service time will be fun with all those bearings
Hell, what about just cleaning the linkage. Get out the dental floss
@@setransou 🤣 I’m so using that in a future video!!😉
Luckily I know a guy who loves to work on bikes!😉
TRP brakes, best I've ever had
bro i just want frame how do i get this frame
Oh, aluminum!!!❤
I know! Love how robust aluminum frames are! Stoked on this one!🤘🏻
Hayes Dominion A4 best brakes ever!
me run HOPE e3 brake.for me its modulation is the best
Thanks!🤜🏼🤛🏼
@@TopToBottomMTB im ride with XT 8120 before and its too aggresive and no modulation feeling
Shimano brakes 🔥🔥
A more accurate term to describe IFS would be faux-six-bar. It is not a true six bar. Note that the rearmost pivot is on the seatstay above the axle. If we split the the chainstay and the seatstay at this pivot, the rear axle will still have its own path, defined by two short linkages above the bottom bracket. This makes it similar to other four-bar suspension layout like Giant Maestro or Santa Cruz VPP.
My own personal bike is a Siskiu T7 (two version of it, second gen released on 2017, traded it for the third gen in 2021). Both bikes have similar suspension layout, which most people would call a four-bar. But actually, they are faux-four-bar. Just like the newer Collosus N9, the rearmost pivot is on the seatstay. Split the chainstay and seatstay at this point, and the axle will also have its own path. The difference is, on Siskiu it will be defined by a single pivot above the bottom bracket.
Another more accurate term is linkage actuated four-bar. On the Siskiu, we can also called it linkage actuated single pivot.
Just saying, not hating. I've been a long time user of various Polygon bikes since 2008. Will always be proud of Polygon as an Indonesian brand, though I don't think I can say the same about what has been said by its marketing department.
Thanks for the knowledge Rifu! My brain hurts now😉
That's nicely speced. Very interesting linkage, lots of moving parts, probably a lot of stiction to deal with on the trail, not so much enduro.
Right now, manufacturers are having awesome sales. I just bought a 23 Stumpjumper Evo Pro for over 2k off sticker. It was still a lot but I can't complain.
Sick deal!!
Modulation is just a marketing term for not as powerful as the competitors
😂
Looks beautiful but needs a damper upgrade
Yeah maybe… the fork feels so buttery smooth. I’ll be adding a few tokens in there but it’s simple to setup and feels great!
This vs Ripmo?? Im trying to purchase my first actual decent bike. Coming from a diamondback hook.
This will be way better value… and it can do everything really well!
Approximate weight?
Did you watch the video? It’s in there near the end.
@@TopToBottomMTB my bad, thanks
Give it to me and carbon with a warranty and I'm there. I just can't get over the weight
I just ordered one but i thought they came tubeless :(
No… not many bikes come tubeless in the box. Everything is tubeless ready though. All you gotta do is tape it up and yank the tubes out! There’s a tubeless tutorial on my channel if you wanna know 2 ways to get it done! Cheers!🤜🏼🤛🏼
This bike is pretty rad but for this price I would rather have the Fezzari Delano peak comp. Just my opinion
Fezzari makes nice bikes but those 2 are not in the same category… Delano peak is only 135mm rear travel no?
@TopToBottomMTB yeah you're right, it would compete more with the LA Sal peak. Fezzari is having an insane sale right now on the Delano and the La Sal comp versions.
trp and tektro
No thanks to the spongy SRAM feel. Modulation comes from learning how to ride and use the brakes. I guess marginal brake systems are useful for those that dont know any better.
Got TRPs on there now… 👌🏻
Such a killer deal for this bike and only one thing that is awful and that's the rear hub.. I've been through about 4 in less than a year.
What breaks in the hub?
@Top To Bottom MTB there's a funky looking plastic spacer that fails often. Iver had the freehub skip on me and I've had a couple broken hub axles. Same hubs came on my mt. bromo.
That's not six-bar suspension. It's a four-bar, with an overly elaborate shock linkage - exactly like the Specialized Demo or Enduro. The axle path is only dictated by four members, not six. The two additional pieces purely control the shock rate. Not a six bar.
Thanks! 🤓
Definitely a interesting bike with a interesting spec but for me the weight would be too much of a downside as I weigh around 64kg and a 18 kg bike would be way too much to handle for me. I´d rather stay with my definitely beefy enough 15kg giant reign. For brakes I´ve tried a few of the sram models in the past and in my and everyones opinion in my riding circle they pretty much suck 99% of the time. The best brakes I´ve tried until now are definitely the shiguras with a magura mt5 caliper and a xt brake lever
Yeah might be a lot of bike for a smaller rider… Never tried Shiguras… Maybe in the future.🤜🏼🤛🏼
I used to weigh what you did but then I started eating a lot and now I can ride these kind of bikes
@@TopToBottomMTB Shiguras are definetly worth a try. Would be cool to hear what you think about them
I’ve been riding Code RSC’s that came with my bike for three years now and honestly they suck compared to Shimano. I’d rather be riding SLX even.
its so funny to me when people say this bike is "only" $3500. so out of touch with reality. you could build a bike for 1k thatll do anything you can do on this bike.
While I agree with you that a bike is a bike, I strongly disagree that a $1000 would do EVERYTHING you can do on this bike. I wouldn’t go off 20ft drops or 50’ jumps on a $1000 bike while I’ll be hitting those all summer long on the Collosus with confidence!🤘🏻
swap that kmc chain for a shimano one and it'll shift better
Noted! Thanks! Also gonna try a Sram AXS derailleur/Shimano drivetrain… heard it works wonders!🤘🏻
I love alloy frames but the One and only thing that killed that bike for me is those dreadful 29" wagon wheels, 27.5 all day long Thanks.
Yeah… for playfulness 27.5 is great. But this is intended to be an enduro race bike. 29s are soooo much faster than 650b. 🤘🏻
A lot of bearings , collecting a ton of mud in the UK.
Yeah… gonna throw a rear mud guard in there to help with that during the winter.
Hm the bike ❤😊?
I leave my wheel reflectors on cos I know it annoys other mountain bikers.
🤣 I count my grams so… jk.
37lbs. Wow
Good video! We're an ebike manufacturer and we'd like to find a way to cooperate with you on promoting new ebike. Do you have interest?
Over 37 lbs lmao my DH bike with full 200mm travel weighs less
How much does it cost?
@@TopToBottomMTB I built it up with all used parts purchased from pinkbike for under 2 grand!!
Wow! What bike is it? What suspension did you go with? And what wheels?
Many bearings, many maintenance 😅
Love maintaining bikes so that’s great for me!💪🏻
That is a lot of bike for $3500.
😍so good! It rides even better than it looks!
37+ lbs. Yikes.
Yeah but everything on it is beefed up for abuse… Got a set of NOBL carbon wheels going on it soon and a ton of cool parts. Also going tubeless should take off some more weight. Should be able to get it close to 30 lbs.😬
@@TopToBottomMTB I would have a hard time not buying an emtb, if I'm pushing 37 lbs. up hills. That's a chairlift beast right now. Yes, you can lighten it up, but at a cost.
Pros Closet had an Orbea Rallon 29 alloy in the box for like $3900. 31lbs. with a Zeb and Deluxe Ultimate on the rear. If I didn't just dump $1200 into my Stumpjumper, I would buy that bike every day all day.
You have a sweet bike and it looks badass. Just a lot of bike. Cheers.
Too bloody heavy....Ha !
Sram is trash. Especially the drivetrains below gx
This has a Shimano XT drivetrain… gonna give the Code R a try but might also replace them with nice TRPs
@@TopToBottomMTB codes are their best brakes and they are ok.
Ok.... polliwag .... send me one... I'll run it alllllllllll thru the northeast... AND GIVE THE REAL REVIEW..... I don't think this is fair video... the old man has his hat one backwards
Thanks for the comment Frank! I appreciate you taking the time.👍🏻 I wear my hat that way because it blocks the light in the studio the other way. Oh and how old do you think I am?
@@TopToBottomMTB great video... gonna say in ya 30's... just breaking balls
Good guess… and it’s all good! Keep it coming! Used to it by now. My kids break my balls all the time! 🥵
@@TopToBottomMTB where ya from? Beating on that new bike.... I keep an eye out on thoz polygons
Obviously I'm over here in new england...
@@Frank-gp6qr I’m up in Vancouver Canada. I’ll be ripping up Whistler and the North Shore on it this Summer.
I don’t like the color at all!
Looks super cool in real life. Got kind of a candy clear coat on there that shines in the sun… 👌🏻
Lame.
Thx for taking the time to comment. 👌🏻
How much does it weigh
My medium was 38 lbs out of the box but I got it down to 34 lbs after going tubeless, different tires, and a few other upgrades…
