Your desire to not show favoritism towards Griot's clearly made you minimize how much better the Turtle Wax performed. TW did more than "eeked it out".
Looks like TW ate Griot's for lunch.
Thanks for the video but there was too much "just about the same" when one side was clearly getting beaten down almost immediately.
@muskanofx Is there something I said that wasn't true? I got my product from Amazon a few days late even though I pre-ordered.
Great work Jimbo! Out of all the ceramic spray sealants you’ve tried which one do you think has worked the best? And which sealant is your go to?
Hey Jimbo loving the 50/50 video when rinsing keep doing that 👌
TW is still the winner in my book. Thanks for the demo.
What blower are you using in this video to clear the beads off? Nice video!
Love your videos i've learned a lot from them, but what im gathering is turtle wax seems to make the best product. How often do you need to apply these sprays to maintain the hydrophobic properties?
Great video Jimbo! Any plans to do a torture or comparison test with one of the new Graphine products? Would love to see how a product like IGL F4 - Renew holds up against one of the better ceramic sprays
Damn production quality and editing has stepped up! Nice work team.
Thank you!!
“Eeked out”? I dunno dude, from my keyboard warrior observation the Turtle Wax looked like it fared quite a bit better. They’ve really been bringing the quality the last couple years.
Sorry, I just selected the most recent video to add a couple questions.
Can TLC 2 be applied to my windshield?
How would I remove the rain x that was put on all of my windows and mirrors a few months ago?
What do you use to clean that panel, between product testing?
Thanks
Dude thanks soooooooo much for doing this test and taking my request for doing this test.
I kinda had my money on the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions though 😁
Absolutely love this product and the SealNShine as well❤
Nice vid. Can and should you apply the TW on top of a waxed car or is it meant to replace the wax. Thanks
was just @ the store looking for something new to try, came across both of these so I took it to youtube, this video helped me make the decision, thank you sir, well done, saved a few bucks by going with TW.
Thanks for the video! Two good ones to compare. Both seem very good. Love the tw products
Agreed!
After looking at some other vids like wax mode. The griots seems to have better durability in the long term actually! But I still prefer the TW hybrid ceramic since it has a whole team you can use. Definitely makes it more fun
And it's turtlewax for the win!!
Good vid jimbo 😎
Great video JIMBO! I would also say that Turtle Wax did have a slight advantage but like you said both great product from GREAT companies! Glad to see you making another torturer test video even though you were a bit rusty lol! Take care buddy!
Will TW SNS be a good topper for the hybrid ceramic coating? Or would I be better off with something like Bead Maker? I don’t want one or the other to take the affects of my ceramic coating.
The new TW Hybrid products lineup are "game changers", aren't they?
Combined with TW Hybrid polish and wax correction ... should be a protection that lasts longer ... agree?
What did you use to blow off the water?
Can you do seal and shine in your control section since we all know how it holds up. It seems that these two would both get killed by seal and shine.
I would like to know the gloss reading BEFORE the application, then after...
What blower were you using
Did you miss out comparing the before and after of gloss readings?
Im a Turtle wax ceramic user and just ordered Griots for the smell factor. Alot of people mentioned it smells great which Turtle wax lacks. So hopefully a decent change.
you should try synergyworx ceramic soap and ceramic detail spray!
great video and product review jimbo. b well
TW clearly outperformed the Griot's significantly in every test after the initial water beading test.
Not sure how anyone can say it was a tie or even close.
Tell me how either one of these products or any sio2 infused waxes are more durable then a traditional paint sealant or wax like jescar powerlock plus or collinite 845? I see no reason to move from those products to these to improve durability or gloss.
@@gambietti What does this have to do with the video? If you want the answer to that you would have to look for a comparison video of those products with Seal & Shine since this TW product is almost the same thing except it's a little easier to apply.
gambietti seal and shine and this hybrid ceramic makes detailing much convenient and easier with a tad higher in durability compared to traditional waxes. This really makes detailing something of a breeze now specially when you have a busy schedule or a car/motorcycle group meet in the evening and you wanna look awesome.
gambietti PTFE/Teflon sealant > any regular or sio2 infused sealant
I only use Giot best show car spray wax for maintenance but I will take seal shine tw or new turtle ceramic spray wax for protection
Have you tried the ryan west brand that see around the internet?
crazy specific video that i looked up these exact ones head to head... great deal here
What channel is the one where your friend stained their vehicle? want to see if they figured out why
Turtle wax products have come a long way. The slickness added is nice too.
U have 2 choose 1 so which 1?
Would have love to see the pre stage and the applying the product added....
Great 50/50 tho...
You can't beat TW for the price.
There’s only a two dollar difference where I’m
No you cannot! They have really stepped up bigtime!
I agree
Here's a thought. What if you mixed the 2 solutions before applying?
Can you do a torture test on feynlabs ceramic spray sealant
Would love to see TW Ceramic Spray vs. DPC Kingsguard.
Seems like he is favoring the Griots , but it does look like the TW one this particular test , They both seem like great products for the price thanks for the video
TW was the clear winner! Good test and video!
Yeah either one, both did great. Just as long your investment is protected.
Great demo! TW is the clear winner.
I think you should show applying the product. That should also be considered. When you put it on does it streak, do you have to buff it off, do you spray on/rinse off, do you apply when wet or when dry, how long does it take to apply?
Awesome video!!!
What would you say, out of ALL of your testing is he BEST ceramic coating "topper" or "drying aid" that you would use personally on your coated pickup??
Keep up the good work Jimbo!
I’m going TW ceramic with the last coat AMP
How long could/would you realistically use either of these products before reapplying in real world scenarios?
Thanks love the vids
GREAT VIDEO!!!
When you take your towel to wipe off chemical, are you using same towel for both sides? If yes, that could ✝/contaminate and yield and untrue test...
I was noticing the same. Also uneven spraying of torture chemical.
Great video buddy tfs
The EXACT vs I was looking for. I love the Griots but I wouldn’t mind trying the turtle wax too
Good call on shorter videos, I also like the top down split view (a shout out to your video editor!). TW’s new line just hit the stores over here, so I’m anxious to try them out. But they’re like $30/bottle, almost as much as boutique brands...
Where at? It’s around $16 in the us
@@autodetailingpodcast Sweden!
I just ordered ten bottles on Amazon. Can't pass up this new price!
Any chance of you testing the new Meguiars pro hybrid ceramic M27 sealant? Thanks
12MotoDad yes. Just picked it up
TWC vs TLC would be GREAT !
Jimbo, How about testing the new Meguiars Pro Hybrid Ceramic Sealant M27? It’s shipping now and is supposed to be their best spray sealant. Your test are better than ever now that you’ve added the gloss meter readings.
John G I don’t think M27 is a spray sealant. It can be applied by hand or by dual action polisher like a sealant, but it allows for longer curing time before wiping off so it can be applied to the entire vehicle before removing.
Figured the turtle wax would win out because I remember in one of your previous videos you said you have to compound it off & wish you could strip it chemically instead. I'm a griot's guy, just bought their ceramic last night. I'm moving from cmx because of user friendliness, but I've had excellent results from cmx, especially from just stacking it twice. I'm wondering if the 3in1 would benefit from stacking🤔
I love griots and turtle wax and having used both, I realized that I never go 6+ months without reapplying so really it should come down to cost and ease of use. Hell I rarely go one month other than during winter. I went with the Griot's mainly because I love these damn bottles. I own most of their products in gallon form.
Bummer, the TW went back up in price. I was lucky to be looking last weekend. It's now $1 off. I'll keep checking.
Jimbo, what blower are you using? Thanks.
Third person asking this same question. Jimbo!!! Please respond!
Love your videos but the volume is low thanks for the great work
Maybe a cheap vs expensive on a ceramic coating?
my car got hit with berry poop from a bird, hit my front bumper, the Turtle Wax Ceramic Ice did not protect my paint, got a nice stain there now
Come on now griots was far behind turtle wax
Maybe next time you're doing this, before the torture test, show us how it's behaving with flowing water too!
I think I know why his truck stained. Same happened to me on an older white Toyota. They used single stage white paint for years.
I sprayed the TW ceramic spray product about 6 months ago. How should I go on about reapplying? Do I need to polish? Or can I just do a strip wash and spray iron remover?
You can just spray and wipe to reapply. A strip wash and iron would be ideal but not completely necessary
@@autodetailingpodcast thank you! I appreciate the response and the great insight in your videos.
Great video. I’ve used both and prefer the Turtle wax for the durability, but the griots is a whole lot more forgiving on dark colored cars in the sun. A lot less streaking, which does happen with the TW.
Yeah, I used the Black version on my black vehicles and the standard on my other, and they both streak really bad with any heat (I used the Polish before, both the Black for the Black, and standard for the other cars). I then wipe with a wet towel, then a dry and they both work really well. I just go through far more towels than I like.
what blower are you using?
Looking for the same info. Jimbo please answer.
The turtle wax is an oil based product that attracts dust like crazy! Griots is a water based product that will keep your vehicle looking clean longer because it won’t attract dust.
TW ceramic leaves streaks on my car, any way to keep that from happening?
Try to buff off with damp microfiber towel
If it's streaking then you are using to much product.you only need two sprays on a panel!!this product goes a long way.
maybe a scene from applying session, and also the control center shows the surface was not cleanedup well before apply, you could made a better video than this one bro, thanks by the way, i'm a fan
How about changing the control section to a product that's known to be durable, like Turtle Wax Seal n' Shine or Technician's Choice?
He did a video of seal n shine against ceramic spray coating
Does wiping remove the wax? Or for example thd ice seal and shine?
Wiping does not remove seal n shine
JIMBO'S DETAILING oh thanks! Good torture test you’ve done here. Will be getting my hybrid ceramic soon
What blower do u use
4th person to ask this same question. Jimbo where ya at???
Damn haha ima griots fan day 1 but TWSS took the cake 👍
Do it against seal and shine
morning jimbo…...will u be showcasing the megs m27 now that it is available(detailed image) - maybe put it against any of the following - mckees 365 ceramic spray cating(yvan lacroix was impressed with it) TAC quartz max(if u can get it) IGL premier.... all of which fall into your cheap vs expensive.....or just megs m27 vs tw hybrid solutions. pls do a gloss meter b4 and after.
be well my friend
john
Yes. I just picked some up and plan on doing a bunch of videos with it
@@autodetailingpodcast great...looking forward to it...have my notification bell on....where did u pick it up at...don't see it at the big box stores
@@autodetailingpodcast the mckees formula contains titania and silica dioxide and sounds similar to polish angel cosmic spritz - fyi
Great Marketing.... It’s really a Polymer Coating .
Thanks again Jimbo. I want to drop my Mustang off for the once over. Let me know. LOL!
I have never been a big turtle Wax fan so it was time to detail my Fiat GQ Abarth convertible . Did the chemical guys pink foam wash then the chemical guys shine polish with a DA It looked really good after that coat. So then I said what the hell just for shits and giggels I will try the Turtle Wax hybrid ceramic spray, All I can say is WOW!!!! even my next door neighbor was In Aww over how great it looked. So I waited 24 hours to put on a second coat of the TW and OMG the reflection off of the paint is just incredible and is very slick to the touch. So Its the TW for the Win Win.
Jumbo where can I find that interview with TW Ice line creator?
I’m not sure - I haven’t done one yet
JIMBO'S DETAILING ohh ok. I heard you mention on this video you were going to interview him. I'd love to hear what his process was. I use a lot of Ice products professionally because it's so good & economical
What is with Turtle Wax? They came out with some of the better detailing products currently out right now, but only increased prices enough to make money while still being some of the lowest out there. Other companies take note: you can increase quality, keeps prices low, AND still make money because people will buy it.
turtle wax took the prize here. they both have their place.
This the iie Ben waiting next use t ax graphene and compare them
Jimbo you need to invent a product that bead water like no other like water on taro leaf.
I've been using TW ICE stuff since it came out like 20 years ago. Just recently switched to Griot's 3-1. The Griot's to me is a far better product in regard to ease of working with & has a warm/waxy feel & slickness to it compared to ICE stuff. I use my 'wax' products on a host of surfaces, clear coat; plastic; & gelcoat fiberglass.
Can you do a test on Surf City Garage product's?? I feel they are more superior to this 2 mentioned above in your video.
supposed to allow 24 hours after application for TW to cure!!
Good video. “Local Auto Parts Store”...... Get in the zone..... 😂.
Auto-Zone!
😎
@@autodetailingpodcast You don't mention where you are located, but if you have Advance Auto stores in your area, their prices are better than Auto Zone any day of the week
You should let folks know that you work for Turtle Wax also.
The best way in my opinion is to see how well tne water moves off the panel when blow drying it.
I think jimbo was fair, with a slight being kind to griots. With that said griots did well. In the real world both are great.
Idk, he didnt sound like a politician or anything. Fair enough for me.
TW is good stuff
Why are u not comparing Turtle Wax Hybrid 3 in 1 detailer to the Griots 3 in 1 ?? See,s that would be a much fairer test. BTW I love the TW Hybrid Ceramic spray.....i could NOT find the TW 3 in 1 detailer so i am trying Griots 3 in 1...just like a 3 in 1 for quick spruce up between waxes, and want protection on my plastics and wheels.
Because the TW 3-1 isn’t comparable
@@autodetailingpodcast interesting? My buddy gifted me a collection of T/W products...so I finally got my hands on the T/W 3 in 1 detailer spray. What specifically is it that u feel the T/W 3 in 1 does NOT compare to the Griots 3 in 1? I have both, and enjoy using both.
Have you tried Dri Wash N Guard
Check their time durability
Turtle wax was a crystal clear winner over the Griots. TW is what I use on my black BMW. Just can't beat TW for the price and performance.
Why not just do a spray wax, which is far cheaper, instead of a pseudo ceramic?
By the way, TW on amazon today is $12 for the spray. :-)
Kyle Marx That’s the same price here at my local Walmart.😁
