  • Turtle Wax Hybrid Solution Graphene Wax really surprised me on a previous test. I haven't tested out these products much in the past but I after using on product from the Hybrid Solutions line up, I wanted to test out others. So today I am looking at 3 different spray ceramics from the Turtle Wax Hybrid solutions line up. Ceramic Spray Coating, Ceramic 3 in 1 Detailer, and Graphene Infused Flex Wax. I wanted to test these out to see which one works the best. So in todays video, we will talk about pricing and the application process. Which of these Spray Ceramics is the easiest to apply? ENJOY!!!

    I have been using TW hybrid solution ceramic ever since Project Farm did a comparison. I love the stuff, cheap, super easy to use, killer shiny coating, and crazy beading. One coat last way longer than the carnauba wax I used before. It is a game changer compared to older waxes.
    I'm not a pro detailer I wash my car every 2 weeks, the vehicle is driven every day and never garaged, I'd say the killer shiny coating lasts 3 months with no help.
    I"m excited to hear what a pro thinks of these products over time. Great channel Josh!

      I applied 2 coats of TW hs ceramic and kept it one year. It was still working. I did strip it off to give Avalon King a try. I didn't see a noticeable difference in gloss with the AK but I'm expecting long term durability out of the AK. The AK was easy to apply and the TW was stupid easy to apply. Value wise, I'd go with the TW. The prep is the more important phase so don't sweat the final coating. They both work.

    EVERYTHING...EVERYTHING tested here is freakin dope. Been using all of it (them) including Seal&Shine over the last 3 years. Extremely satisfied. One selling point out of many - the 3-1 Detailer is a full 32 oz's. It is very versatile as a basic detailer, a spray wax & Dry and also waterless wash. 32 oz's for $15. A little goes a long way. Come to think of it - a little goes a long way applies to the entire lineup. Gr8 review.

    Used the turtlewax ceramic coating like a noob and didn’t polish before. It encased all the water spots on my car and was a PAIN to get off. Tried rubbing alcohol, dish soap, car soap, nothing worked. Only thing that worked was to use a rubbing compound and orbital. At least I know it works well! After that I polished my car properly then reapplied the ceramic coat.

    I use the graphene flex wax. It's expensive and I won't say it's worth twice the price as the ceramic spray coating, but I do like its flexibility. I can use it as my base coating, which takes the most work, but also use it as a drying aid, which increases the protection significantly, and as a rinse aid, too.

    @MegaChevy25 Před 2 lety +2

    I use the hybrid solutions wet wax and the ceramic spray coating on my cars and so far I have loved it and it provides great hydro phobics and decent protection, the wet wax is like a primer for the drying process and then I add the spray coating after the car is dry. Sometimes I use the hybrid solutions ceramic wash and wax for the wash then the wet wax for drying then the ceramic spray coating for the final wipe. The was and wax does not foam very well but I have used it in the foam cannon to get a good even coat then rinse it off and then put some in the bucket and do a traditional wash.

    First off great coverage of the turtle wax… I have been using the hybrid solutions ceramic spray now for almost a year and a half and absolutely love it…
    What I have found (against directions) is to apply a heavy coat once you have initially clay bared the vehicle and then apply 2 heavy coats and at least 2 heavy coats a year… works amazing!!!
    Also love this because you can go over anything, paint, glass, plastic, rubber… ect, just wonderful and cuts down on detailing time ford sure!!! Keep up the incredible work and can’t wait to see how these work for you!!

    Thanks, good video! I got a new 2022 4Runner in Feb 2022 (I know, not a Porsche, but I tow motorcycles, haul a bird dog and generally carry dirty stuff regularly), but I still like it to look good. I did a little research, and stopped by a local pro Ceramic coating shop. I noted they had mostly exotics in their shop, and their prices were just not in my price range. I extended my research and settled on the Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic and applied it to my freshly washed, as yet unspoiled paint. I found it very easy to apply, and here 6+ months later, it has been very good to great at shedding water, dirt, tree sap, . . . I've decided to give it another spray today, not so much because it needs it, but because, this will likely be one of the last great days before the cold, wet, grime season here in the North East. I have a shelf of various waxes, cleaners, polishes, scratch removers, . . . So far, I have found Hybrid Ceramic to replace all of them.

    Take this with a grain of salt because I could be wrong, but I believe Turtle Wax actually uses an emulsion with their stuff so it's not as prone to settling and separation.
    Obviously it's not like you should avoid giving it a good shake, but it's also not one of those you've gotta shake to the point of registering something on the Richter scale.
    Also, I'm a big fan of the hybrid solutions ceramic polish, it has a little bit of correction but not a ton. They have a two products in the line that are labeled "Black" because they have some fillers in them, which I haven't tried but it's worth noting they have some products that have a decent amount of filling capacity.
    Also be careful with the tire shine because it'll be wet for a long time and has some noted problems with sling.
    The hybrid solutions wheel cleaner is pretty awesome though and is one of the more pleasant smelling decon products I've ever used.

      @@imjoshv I definitely will provide my feedback! I got a bottle of Adams Mega Foam and Mr Pink. Pretty surprisingly, to me at least, the parallels are closer than I expected. Adams Mega Foam is fairly closely related to Suave Kids shampoo while Mr Pink uses more industrial grade materials. The Adams is water based with surfactants that are very good but also very gentle. Contains a glycerin relative which helps the lubricity. Some alcohols to help evaporate to a nice finish. Preservative system effective at neutral pH. Think I might have to start making my own 😅

For prep I washed and dried the car, wiped down the roof and bonnet/hood with prep sol then applied product and buffed the surfaces. Results were EXCELLENT! But the heat got to me and I forgot to prep sol the fenders and doors but still applied product and buffed...RESULTS? Excellent when viewed at a 90 degree angle.... at other angles I can see where my sweaty limbs and forehead left a couple of smudges.....my fault entirely....next time it's clay bar and the whole works. I am impressed by the simplicity of application and the shine...all that remains is to see how it endures our tropical climate - for now, 9/10 4.5/5** etc. Thanks.

    Porsche is just a regular old surname, with all the other old German surnames. In German, e at the end of a word signals to say "ah" at the end of saying the whole word. So Porsche = Porsch "ah", and its all said as one word. I used the Turtle Ceramics spray coating, on 3 different trucks, 4 months ago, and it's still holding up. Every car owner should put it on especially going into Winter. Sheds rain and snow beautifully, $20 to protect the expensive paint on your car, so it lasts years and years only makes economical sense.

I did clay bar the car and all that but this time I did the wax grease remover from duplicolor to see if that works and the surface was definitely sticky so it seems to be bare for sure and I’m going to wash the car next week and see if the coating fails again.

    Hey, should i apply turtle wax hybrid solution on paint with 400 gsm towel or with WAX & SEALANT MEGUIAR'S APLICATOR and just clean the product with the towel? Also, if i wash the towel after i clean the turtle wax HS, can i use them again or i should throw them away?

    Do you think the black ceramic acrylic performs the same as the non black version. Trying to figure out what the chemestry/longevity differences are besides just "it's for black cars." Also does it make sense to apply graphine on top of the ceramic?

    In my area I must wash and wax my black Chevy Trail Boss outdoors. What’s problematic about this is all of the spay products are hit by the wind and very little product reaches the panel in desired manner. Like you I have now resorted to spraying the sealer/wax to a microfiber cloth and then rub the cloth over panel followed by a buff with dry microfiber cloth. At any rate, seems the key to ease of application is very little product on the cloth.

    Big fan of the hybrid ceramic, use 2 seasons and actually does last me more than 12 months 2 application. I re-do after 12 but it still beads well after year. Detailer and Wet wax are ok but not as good as ceramic maybe not as slick. Really like the deep wet shine from ceramic. No try graphene yet so watching your test

    i compared the liquid graphene flex wax. its way more glossy than the spray version flex wax think there's some carnuba or extra enhancer in it. pretty sure. hybrid ceramic spray I use on every new vehicle I get to polish and protect.. I reapply it after like 8 to 10 washes or notice its fading. it's so durable then u can top it with like bead maker to keep it glossy

    So many products, new product..it's all quite good. Hard to see the point of changing things often. They all seem pretty similar overall It seems. After two years of trying different things and detailing cars. I still like seal and shine quite a bit... But I did pick up the new spray wax which is a very nice detailer that made the paint pop more than I thought.. But none of it last long no matter what they say. Did the mcguire's ceramic spray which seems pretty good. The spray wax turtle seems about the same if not a little better actually.. I have no interest in these products after seeing videos unless I get bored or super sale.

    I sprayed the Turtle Wax 53409 Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating DIRECTLY to the panel. Then used both hands to spread it around all over the paint. And then I used a microfiber towel to 'polish' and dry it. I figure that means less waste of product soaking into the towel. And honestly can not tell any difference. The surface is super slick and the water spots still stick to the paint.

    • @scottdowney4318
      @scottdowney4318 Před rokem

      I bought some white vinegar and plan to use that in a spray bottle to remove water spots from the hose. If your car is super shiny, you will see everything wrong with the paint. If it is old paint and dirty, paint will be less of an issue in your life and you will be the master, not the slave of the paint.

    I've been using the flex wax for months. Since it came out. I highly recommend this product. What I do not recommend is using it every wash. It does build up and will show smearing. I use it every 3rd wash. The first application (dry) is definitely the biggest and best thing about this product. I use it on the wet car and dry it after

    Josh, please update after a while because the TW spray ceramics don’t really come into their own until they’ve cured for a day or two. I was initially disappointed with the lack of “slickness” as well. But after a couple of days I can really feel the difference. I had also fully de-conned and light polished before application. Such an easy to apply product. I want to get some Ceramic wet-wax as a drying aid next. Love your content. Helping us all, newbies and old-schoolers alike!
