Placemat Hack: Make a Zippered Bag!! Pioneer Woman Placemats Transformed!

Hello Shiny Crafty People and welcome back to the channel! I'm Tim Totten and today we're transforming a Pioneer Woman placemat into a super easy and fun zippered bag!
Here's a breakdown of what I used to make this project:
1 Placemat (Pioneer Woman Patchwork from Walmart): $3.97
1 Zipper (9-14 inches): $2.00
Matching thread
Sewing Machine
Scissors
I've made two more of these since recording this video and I was able to complete them in less than 10 minutes each!
What an easy way to coordinate with your own decor or to complement the decor of the person you're gifting to! Imagine seeing a special design on someone's gift registry and getting additional placemats to make gifts like this to go with it.

I have these placemats for a few years and have made this, used 2 mats to make bigger bags and used 2 mats with the atching cloth napkins to make shopping bags. Such fun, easy projects

What did you use the napkins for on the shopping bags? Handles? I’m intrigued.

@@timothytotten9409 I used the napkins as the side and bottom panels and as handled. I wanted my bags to be more generous because they can hold a bit more and they stand up. And they look better.
