Lyrics:
Fool enough to almost be it
Cool enough to not quite see it
Doomed
Pick your pockets full of sorrow
Run away with me tomorrow
June
Try, ease the pain
Somehow we'll feel the same
Well, no one knows
Where our secrets go
I send a heart to all my dearies
When your life is so, so dreary
Dream
I'm rumored to the straight and narrow
While the harlots of my perils
Scream
And I fail
But when I can, I will
Try to understand
That when I can, I will
Mother weep the years I'm missing
All our time can't be given
Back
Shut my mouth and strike the demons
Cursed you and your reasons
Out of hand and out of season
Out of love and out of feeling
So bad
When I can, I will
Words defy the plan
When I can, I will
Fool enough to almost be it
Cool enough to not quite see it
Old enough to always feel this
Always old, I'll always feel this
No more promise no more sorrow
No longer will I follow
Can anybody hear me
I just want to be me
When I can, I will
Try to understand
That when I can, I will - Hudba
Thanks for watching! Which song is next?
Jelly belly 🤘
This is great! Mayonaise is probably my favorite pumpkins song ever. Silverfuck has always been a favorite of mine too!
Geek USA has probably been mentioned somewhere already but here’s another vote. You would nail the solo based off all your covers so far !
Porcelina of the Vast Oceans! Love your SP covers 🤙
@@WillBulldozer that song is such an epic. It's 100% on my list!
Patiently waiting for you to cover "Thru The Eyes of Ruby" and "Porcelina"
I seconds thru the eyes of Ruby…
That guitar tone scratches my brain

This is BEAUTIFUL. I'm amazed. I was painting and put this on not really expecting much. Within about 30 seconds I'd blasted back to 1996 and started sobbing. Thank you for this. It made my day.
I'm very happy to hear that!
@@EddieClark Listened about 5 times now
I'm hearing a muted Corgan here:) But it's still good, great job!
It's an artifact left over from extracting the drum file from the song. All of my covers have it. 👍
Hell yeah Killed it again! My vote is Rocket 🚀
That's one I definitely want to do 👍
Porcelina! But yeah, agree on rocket:)
Great job!!!
the greatest! killed it
this is so good man. i love this song with all my heart.
Amazing cover, congrats !
this is amazing!!
Thank you!
Beautiful 💖
Thank you and thanks for watching!
My fav!
1) obviously, your tone-matching is incredible
2) where did you get the stem of Jimmy's drums? Spleeter?
3) i'd love to hear you tackle all the effects on "Apathy's Last Kiss"
1) thank you!
2) I extract the drum tracks out of the originals and then rebuild the song around the drum track
3) that's a really good idea. I'd be interested in doing that 👍👍
Holy shit this is incredible
Recreating this album is so insanely hard yet you nail it every time. Just finding out what was used is tough. Thanks for making these videos so we don't have to go down the rabbit hole. I watch guitar videos constantly and these are always some of the most impressive I've seen. Takes a lot of talent to be able to do something like this
Thank you very much. I appreciate that!
Found you off the subreddit! You really do these justice. Amazing recreations
And thanks for sharing your tone tricks too!
Thank you! Glad to share them!
A freakin mazing.
LOVED YOUR VIDEO.
Well done.
Wish I played like you.
Congrats man……. Beautiful. Just beautiful
This is my all-time favorite song. You did an incredible job!!! Best mayonnaise cover I’ve seen. The tone is, to my ear, better than the album even… The way you played it showed how much you love it!
Wow!
Omg this is my favorite song ever and I absolutely love this cover! You are clearly very talented-I can’t imagine how hard it would be to nail this the way you did! I’m seriously considering this for my bridal processional, AKA, my walk down the aisle, in a couple of weeks! This was amazing and gave me all the feels! 🎃💕👰🏻
Thank you very much but more importantly, congratulations!!
Dude! That is so fucking badass! One of my favorite Smashing Pumpkins tunes as well. I sound like I have a live band with me when I sing this karaoke style with my crew on my Klipsch surround sound computer speakers. Absolutely love it!
Bodies Bodies Bodies!
I absolutely adore your covers! If you ever wanted vocals on any of these I'd love to collab with you :)
Love the instrumentals!
Very, very nice. You nailed the growl we like about that tone. And you managed to recreate the wild harmonics even tho you're recording silently (i guess?). Best sounding cover i've heard since the one from a band called Angelhead's on bandcamp.
Thank you!
This is the greatest song ever recorded... you already know that though
Really cool!
You're sort of blowing my mind because the chords are completely different from what I learnt (from the official tab book), for example in the book the intro arpeggio requires a capo, and the main chords are totally different (B is played with a low 7th, so 2/2/4/4 on E/A/D/G strings), and the G# has a 9th (ie 4/6/8 on E/A/D strings -- really fun to play!); yet despite all that, your version sounds incredibly correct.
The book is incorrect in that case. The thing to remember about the tab book is; the band did not write it. The song was never recorded or played with a capo.
Sounds way better than original!!!!!😀
Marshall Origin or DSL for these kinds of cleans?
Excellent shit dude
Marshall Origin. My first couple of covers were done using an Origin 20 combo. I still use it all the time and love it.
Thanks for watching!
That was really top notch, but why'd you cheap out on the acoustic interlude? Everything else was made with perfect adherence to the original except for that one part.
Hehe thanks! Pretty simple really. I have never owned an acoustic guitar.
@@EddieClark The thought that first came to my mind was "Does this guy just not own an acoustic guitar?" Immediately followed by the thought "Of course he does, don't be ridiculous". But I'll be damned, I don't think I've ever met any guitarist who doesn't own at least one acoustic.
Wow that is pretty dam close, there's a guy with 300 thousand subs, who tried to get the Siamese dream crunch, and he's nowhere near as close as you. Is it just the MXR 100 for the start to Mayonaise?
Pretty sure I know which video you're talking about. That video is one of the reasons I made my "How to Sound Like Siamese Dream" video.
You nailed it. The start of the song is the Phase 100 and the guitar is also double tracked. 👍
Thanks for watching!
Whoah! Nice job, Sir👏
It's just like the original... one guy playing all the instruments except for the drums.😂
Lol yes 🤣
Thanks for watching 👍
@@EddieClark I like it Eddie! Keep up the good work. It would blow my mind if you did an acoustic version!
Mayonaise but Billy's mic isn't working and you can kinda hear him behind the loud Instrumental
Hehe my covers (except Cherub Rock) always remind me of that as well. The vocal artifacts are a side effect of removing the instrumentation from the drum track.
@@EddieClark yeah makes sense. Your covers have to be the best smashing pumpkins covers I've ever heard, even with billy in the other room trying to get the extra ego boost
Today, please!
;) 👌✨✨
Phenomenal Cover. I’d love to use this as my “be right back” music on stream. Do you think we could work out a deal?
Just put a link back to the video. That's good enough for me.
@@EddieClark Gladly! I’ll put it in my about me section and credit you on-scene as well.
@@SamuraiJeff sounds good to me! 👍
You really do a great job of nailing the tones. One of my favorite albums (songs and production) of all time.
Fantastic job! I've got the rhythm (Iha's) section down but I'm struggling to find an isolated lead or lead + vocals. Any advice as to how I can play along ?
I always just play along to the original if I'm just playing. If your part melts into the rest of the mix, you know you're getting it 👍👍
@@EddieClark Now I've got Billy's section down :) Thanks for these videos! Very encouraging.
What effects pedals did you use?
I made a video on the subject
czcams.com/video/dp5K8u3EsKA/video.html
Hey can you tell me how do you do the shrieking harmonics in the chorus thanks
It's a harmonic above the 4th fret on the low e string with lots of fuzz on top so it squeals
Is that distortion 2 by mike worth it?
And also do you run it before or after the muff
I run it like this:
guitar -> distII -> phase 100 -> muff -> amp
I like the DistII a lot. You need to tweak the settings to get to the sound used on SD. I tend to keep the gain low as opposed to cranking it and a degree of control is needed to keep it together... but that's part of getting close to that sound IMHO.
On the non-pumpkins related side of it, I like the DistII better than my MXR Dist+ when using it as a boost into my amps when they're running medium/high gain.
Thanks for watching 👍
Thank you also great cover would love to see more Siamese dream covers from you. Geek U.S.A would be cool
hi eddie…can i take ur video?i want to collabs singing with my vocal
Yup. Just please link the original video
I use a capo for the intro
You don't need a capo if you use the right tuning but it's a great way to get by if you don't want to retune the guitar.
@@EddieClark its just what the official tab book said
@Branden's Outdoor Channel yeah, the tab books aren't exactly perfect. I got that book back in the 90's and was so disappointed. The into/second guitar is played in an alternate tuning and you can see that's exactly how it's played when it's done live as well
could i use this for my cover album smashing pumpkins cover album?
