I like that you taped your hood down and then cut the decal after they dried. I'm definitely stealing that trick from you.. The build looks really great, so far.
You cut them after you set them in place with a new blade. Do not wait till they are dry to cut them...they must still be pliable and able to set them in the grooves.

As the drybrush is easy, please challenge it. An Tips is to wipe off paint of the brush well.
