Great looking car. AWESOME model. It was good to see the assembly. You presented some good tips. What glue(s) are you using for final assembly? Thanks for sharing!
The glue I use is Tamiya Extra Thin Cement and the slightly sticky Tamiya Cement, and I use these differently. www.tamiya.com/english/products/list/cements/kit870S01.htm
LOL! I don’t know what’s holding it together. I only saw him, and so I can be politically correct, he has man hands, put glue on the door panels. He has a bottle of Tamiya glue there but that’s the only time I saw him use it.
After you installed the hood and deck stripes, I could see you got them to sit tightly to the surface, but the gloss was just average. At the end of the video, the model on the turntable was so glossy, I saw no edges or anything on the stripes. How do you get that deep gloss???
Immediately after the paint is applied to the body, it should be glossy. If it does not, the dilution rate may be wrong. I dilute my paints about 2x. The finish clear coat should be applied in five times, allowing sufficient time. Even out with the thickness of the paint.
@@girigirioneroom yes I get that, but it appeared there was a change in gloss and surface AFTER you applied the stripe decals. That was my question. What more did you do after applying the stripe decals?
@@girigirioneroom you painted 5 layers of clear over the stripes? I think there is a bit of language gap, so I'm trying to communicate my question differently.
Yes. Five times of clear paint were applied over the decals. Why? Even if the paint is glossy, the surface is still uneven, so I use sandpaper to smooth it out. At that time, if the clear paint is too thin, the body color will show immediately.
Beautifully built model. Way, way cool editing.
Gorgeous finish man, Detail is awesome.
The Revell kit looks to be better quality than the AMT kit. Either way, gotta build one of ‘em to match the full-size one sitting in the garage!
Simply magnificent!
Very nice build with a bit a wear and user signs. A real beauty in that colr.
I'm not quite there yet either.

I just Subbed to your channel
Are you using Tamiya Cement for the Engine? Are you removing the paint first or does it work for paint-to-paint?

After the decals are applied, nothing is doing. I paint clear and polish with compound and that's it. As you can see in the video of my Mustang.
