I'm 65 yrs old and just began modeling, in fact I have just finished my 2nd model. I wish I had watched your builds before I began. You are very generous with your info on How To and by demonstration. THANK YOU Sir, you are in a very small elite group of exceptional modelers. I was expecting to hear the Chevelle start and watch it drive off.
I think I might learn how to airbrush, OMG...that finish...
thank you 😊
Great build and especially thankfully for the English subtitles
thank you very much!!😄
Absolutely love that fantastic paint job!
thank you very much!!😊
Although I build many kits in my youth, IIt's been 30+ years since I built a model. Recently my best friend bought the '69 SS 396 kit for me as a gift. I had a new Hugger Orange '69 SS Chevelle which gives away my age. Thank you for your outstanding video. I've watched a lot of CZcams videos but this one is one of the best. Thank you for sharing your skills. I'm sure my build will be much improved as a result of watching your video. All the best to you!
Thank you very much!!😄
I admire his detail and talent . but I wouldn't have the patience nor time , I prefer to just throw some paint on ,and put it together, put it on the shelf
thank you..just have fun and enjoy yourself!!😊
wow great paint job just bought some gaia ex black and clear seen giri paint a 57 that color and i was sold painted a 69 chevy11 model master blk lacquer and could not stop staring @ her🤣thanks dou scooter d😎
Thank you very much!!😊
Excellent video & job building and painting your Revell '68 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 too!!
much appreciate!!😊
Top Notch! I have started this kit and I see I have a long way to go before I reach this level. This is the first time I have ever seen someone mask the model and then paint the trim. I love how that worked out. I 'm also learning more about how to get that finish . Great video!
Thank you very much!!😊
When I grow up I wanna paint like you :)
thank you very much!!just keep working and practice, it is much easier than you thought!! cheers!!😊
Beautifully done. 🤟🤠👍
thank you very much!😄
It looks like it's pure steel. Unbelievable
thank you very much!!😊
You just made your own car door handle because the stock one seemed to big?
Brilliant.
thank you very much!😄
and the stock handle is a piece of solid plastic..not a hook shape like real one...
@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING Yes, I noticed that your own handles are much closer in shape to the real thing than those big, clunky (!) original ones.
ps that was an amazing build mr Lin thank you for sharing 🤩
Thank you very much!!😊
Absolutely stunning. I'm about to start on this one myself. Very inspirational build.

It's a beautiful car...so much so that I've started the '67 Chevelle Pro Street. I'm doing something a little different: racing green Tamiya spray for the bodywork, light tan interior and racing white for the seats, should be a good marriage of colors, any suggestions for what color I should do the roll cage?
hi,I think body color will suit for roll cage, just a opinion..., 😀
Would look great in bright red.
yes.I think this chevy fits in any color!!😊
Nice
thank you very much!!!😊
Amazing precision and great touch on all the upgrades!
May I ask what kind of super glue applicator you used when you were installing the windshield part? It looks like a very fine silicone brush but I couldn't find anything like that on Amazon yet.
thank you very much!😄
the super glue applicator is a P.E set, you can find it on web store,I juse modify that by adding a wood handle, that makes it easier to use. 😄
Great Work!! Is that a decal on the shifter knob? If not, how did you achieve that?
Just found your channel, Amazing build! Got you subbed, KUTGW buddy.
thank you for your supporting!!😄
did you repaint the chrome parts?
isn't the SS454 more muscular than the SS396?
The paint on the body looks superb and the engine compartment looks great, but the wash on the interior was way too dark, it made everything look like a grimy 'barn find' instead of subtly enhancing the padding in the upholstery, I enjoy your work and skill, and my 'constructive criticism' is not meant to offend.
thank you very much!!😊
i will try to do better next time!!!😄
Excellent build, where did you acquire the magnets used for bonnet/Hood placement?
hi,the magnets are bought from web store, you can search 1mm-2mm diameter of them😄
All your models are excellent, Mr Lin! What airbrush do you use in this video please?
Sorry Mr Lin, one more question. How long do you wait between your 3rd and 4th wet paint layers?
hi,the most use of my airbrush is Gunze mr. airbrush ps289 (0.3mm),I also use h&s infinity cr plus airbrush..I will make a video about tools which I like.😊
when I spray paint(I usually use lacquer paint), I usually wait till the previous coat is dried, you can test the surface with fingernail...for wet coating,it takes longer for waiting...8-12 hours will be fine..
the more layers you put, the more drying time you need,I often wait at 72 hours after final coat..
@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING Thank you so much, Mr Lin! I really appreciate your insight.
Where do u get the rivets & did you have to file them to shorten the length ?
Where did you buy them?
How can I search.. the interior kit (seat belts ,sterling wheel you used in this model,?
Please.
Hi,you can try "model car garage",there is a lot of aftermarket product there!!
Cheers!!
@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING grateful 🤜🤛
fantastic build,i have built that kit myself, very good kit. where is the female figure from?
thank you very much!!😄the figure is from hasegawa 1/24 ..very nice kit!!
Awesome job..... show quality!!!! Where can I get those rivets for the doors & trunk? I looked on Ebay, & they are way too big.... any help would be appreciated..... thanks, Chris.
hi, you can try seach: hobby design rivets,or you can try :top studio reviets,I think they are good quality and
suitable items for detail up,happy modeling!!
by the way, I like your BOSS 302!!you've done a good job,I just got this kit,and want to build it ASAP!!
@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING Hey Mr. Lin......I'm very happy U checked out my build!!!!! It was a great build, the rear valance was a bit fiddly getting it into place, however very carefully I was able to fit it onto the body without any damage.
Thank you for sharing, the info will be very helpful to me!!happy modeling!!
Mr Lin, you are truly a skilled master of model kits, with a critical eye for detail. I love the old American muscle cars and it's a joy to watch you build them. They are museum quality. Thanks for sharing your skills with us...🇬🇧😍🤗🇬🇧
