Can we just appreciate what the driver did! Blindside reverse into a little gate.
I'm a trucker and that's just impressed me beyond belief! Outstanding reverse drive.
Man, could not agree more!!!! Excellent driver, we were very impressed!!! It's hard going driving trucks in the UK, hats off to you & thank you for the work you do :)
@@OffGridinWales kind of you to say! If you goto an iceland store for your food you're even more welcome cos thats who I drive for 🙂
@@UkFisherman81lb Ooh that's so good!! Love Iceland!!! They have good prices =D
It’s a rigid 🤷♂️
@@williambell04 whats ya point?
I hope you fixed the back part where it got wrecked where it looks like the guy backed into that tree. That's where dry rot will start and bugs will get in there.

Great stuff guys. Great achievement. God is Good. Continue the good work.
Ohh it was those Roses that i was concerned about?
They are so lovely,Yes some old caravans are great, but not good if they are damp & have Spongy floors, getting a newer one was the best thing to do😊
Good to get settled before it gets colder & do think about installing a Log burner?
They kick out Loads of Heat🤗
Great driving ! These guys are legends !
Phenomenal. What balls!?!
I've just come across your channel this evening therefore apologies for the very late comment. CZcams must have noticed I subscribe to another channel following a young couple in South Wales doing what you are doing. I couldn't help notice something that concerned me re your caravan delivery. I have always owned a static caravan and the last one I had was a bit older than yours is now. It was in perfect condition when I sold it...no damp issues because I inspected all the seals where the external panels meet at 90 degrees regularly and maintained it well and repaired promptly if there were any issues. I completely coated the chassis underneath with sealant you would use for a car etc. I did this with all my caravans over the years.
You cannot have missed the damage caused by the delivery driver reversing the back right hand corner into your stocky bush at the gate entrance causing damage to around 0.75 m on the rear panel and 0.3m on the side panel plus the cross member beam underneath along the rear of your van and as a result the edge seam joining the 2 panels then being compromised too. If you don't attend to/repair this quickly it won't be long before the damp and moisture ingress will start to creep in especially given that corner now is positioned very near the ground and in shade. You can try to repair it with glass fibre or more modern materials nowadays plus perhaps eg. sicoflex to repair the seal edge. You did say you were intending to sell the van on after you had used it for your purpose but any future prospective buyer should be made aware of the repair because it could limit the life of the caravan.
Hope you find this advice helpful.
Loved this video guys.... but i have to say that spinning around in the caravan has made me feel sick 😂😂 x
Admire you for doing this! I'd love to do same-well done, enjoy and be happy xx

Hey! New to your channel and loving your content. What a beautiful family you are, hope you’ll be back soon with more videos? 😁😁😁
Does anyone have a guesstimate how much companies charge per mile etc to move such a big item ? Thanks !
Why isn't it on a platform or something?
How difficult is it to get a permit to live in a static caravan ?
Did you get planning for caravan or just put on?
How do you manage to get Planning permission ?
I’m doing this in England very soon any tips or advice would be more than welcome !!
Any updates with what happening
Hi I'm going to do this in Scotland how much was your caravan thanks
Do you have mains water supply?
Which truck company did you use to move the caravan please?
I'm looking for a company to move a mobile home like yours in Mid Wales.
Looks like your living there with that many stuff 😂
Hi how’s it going ? Are you living solely in the caravan ? Or was it until you built? We are looking to do the same! We want to be Mortage free, off grid, and keep our horses at home
Did not show much of the inside of the caravan but looks just like ours here for relatives to holiday in. Willoby of
Welshman here! Really digesting the offgrid life and material recently, just curious, which part of Wales did you end up at? I'm in the South East atm, but heard there's nightmare planning issues with our local councils for buying land and trying to live on it, would appreciate any tips, good luck with your journey! x
Love watching your journey, I'm looking to do something similar. I'd be interested to know costs, planning permission, long term goals 😊 thanks
Hello friend :) Oh that's amazing!!! Totally do it... nothing better than getting back to nature. We have lots to cover off in the future so we'll keep you updated :)
Also watching with interest as think this will be my retirement plan.
These used units are usually incredible value for money, what did you pay for this?
Did the property come with planning permission to build on, love following your journey
Ohh thank you Mick that's so great to hear you're enjoying following our little adventure =D We'll do a video in the not too distant future covering this off.
Did u buy the land u live on
gool luck im from dubai show you
Have you stopped doing videos?
How are things doing
why if they keep getting deleted by yewtoob?
Hiya just come across your post & I’m looking at doing this in a couple of years time, I live in Wales so wondering how did you find the land, how much did you pay for it?? I got so many questions lol 😃
We would love to know this also
I asked how they got pp for the static, just a general question and they to,d me to mind my own business, very rude reply for a question.
@@mychills123 That’s charming of them, I they still haven’t replied
@@mychills123Maybe they didn't 🤷
Proper asking for trouble ground touching g this caravan and moisture damp coming into the caravan😮😮😮
I'm sure I had seen some damage at the back of the caravan.
Too close to the embankment you will get damp.
Hope you are learning Welsh too
Sure are, our neighbour is teaching us =D It comes naturally to Ryan, not so much to me & the girls haha! But we're getting there :)
Me and my wife and kids are thinking to live in a caravan like this but ...where can we find a place where to keep it ?
I want to do the same thing in Wales. In a few years im planning to sell my house and downsize. Want to buy a plot of land and put a caravan on the plot of land. Is this possible? I have been told that you have to get planning permission and so forth. Also how will you pipe in the water, eletric, and intenet? Edit: I just found your video where you talk about this. So will watch it all. Please keep us updated
You will never get permission to permanently live in a caravan on some land you’ve bought. Life isn’t that simple or everyone would be doing it.
@@recall2880 You need to watch The Small Farmer. Plus, thousands of people are living in such places in the UK.
Could I have your details mate , looking at doing this and need some more info :)
That back right corner looks like a leakage problem.
Hi how did you get planning permission for the static
Mind you're own business
It was just a general question as I was looking to do the same, very rude reply off you and no need for it !
Don’t put videos up on yt if your not open to questions
Living my dream. Any space for me
Is this channel finished now
Croeso i Cymru!
The fact I know I'm never going to have the money to live off the land makes me want to end it all really.
You can half live off it.. even a council garden can produce some of your own food. And you can keep a few chickens in your back garden as long as it's safe from cats and don't get a noisy cockrel to anoy the neighbours. You still get eggs.
Rent! This country has got so up itself about "owning" land - we've rented land for 20 years. It will still be here when you're dead whether you supposedly own it or not!
Get a van and convert to live in
@@phyllishodgson1422 I would need a bus at minimum for my family lol
I'm going whales in 4 months on my b'day
Betting there's no planning permission for this... hope it works out for you, there's a lot of young couples trying this sort of thing since Covid, taking their chances that the shambles of local bureaucracy somehow misses them, or giving no thought to it. I'd love to do this, but it's very hard to do it legitimately in the UK on your own land.
Well they always ignore that question whenever anyone asks so I guarantee they aren’t allowed
Bit damage
It looks rotten at the back corner as it came of the lorry that needs sorting or you kids will soon be breathing mold not good
I assume you have planning permision?
How did you get permission with the caravan. We would love to do this but have been told we would not get the permission. All the best guys x
@@lewieboy5957 I believe you don't need to have planning permission to put a caravan on your land you only need it for living in the caravan. This video explains it a lot better than I can and will help you bypass planning permission: czcams.com/video/Vo_Iny7LrCo/video.html
The planning regs are more than a little arcane and the authorities will not go out of their way to tell you what you can do, sad to say. However, in certain parts of Wales, the councils are slowly starting to realise that if they want anyone to live in their areas then they have to act a little less like petty tyrants and are allowing exemptions for people trying to reactivate smallholdings and the like.
@@albefuctivino1488 it’s a static which means it’s static

Off grid, yet online? truly out the way is no Internet or technology, alas everything boils down to money.

I wish I had some solid advice for you, it's been slow going navigating the many rules & restrictions.
Wishing you all the best in your endeavors, I hope everything goes smoothly for you 🙏🏼❤
