The WILDEST place we have EVER taken the boat! đ (Episode 268)
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 6. 07. 2024
- In this episode we sail up the Acheron passage in Fiordland, New Zealand, and start to witness some of the most breathtaking scenery we have ever seen. Waterfalls, mountains, wildlife like we have never seen before, and so remote that literally no one lives out here.
SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. We found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are now sailing across the Pacific Ocean!!

This episode deserves a Grammy! I was thinking Jurassic Park even before you mentioned it. Total beauty in every moment. Well Done Parlay, Well Done!
Thanks so much! The scenery down there is really out of this world
Have to agree this was pretty special episode. i usually watch speeded up and slow down at certain points but this one i took it all in . Its now on my bucket lists love from Oz.
A Grammy? For the music )))
@@AdrianKerr Grammys are for music. This is an academy.
An Oscar!
Falling more and more in love with the raw beauty of New Zealand,, I know this is unintentional but what an ambassador you all have become for this breathtaking land⊠people living their best life, sharing their gratitude real time for this life, this profound experience,,,, truly touched
Thanks a lot Bill!
This program is like watching Attenborough at Sea. The scenery and experiences you share with us are incredible. The only way this could get better is watching in IMAX.
Thanks very much Mike!
I donât comment often but I did today on SVGâs page about how impressed I am with the humility, kindness, confidence and leadership in yâall Kiwiâs. I wish those were traits I saw more in my fellow Americans.
Us KIWIS are a SPECIAL BUNNCH
Thanks for watching and commenting mate đđŒ
@@damndog8474 coastal Americans are also very savvy.
@@longsleevethong1457 I was born in, spent most my life in and still live in Florida. The Atlantic is a couple miles away, the gulf stream is another 8 or so and the Bahamas are 70ish. How coastal do you mean?
Excellent filming and dialogue along with story telling. As a 21 year old Yank I back packed through the South Island in 1979, I have since been all over planet earth and only one other place is similar and as stunning that is Norway.
Fiordlands really is something special aye
BEST channel CZcams ,
I have followed for years and dont comment to much but its i truly a credit to you on how you manage to bring every viewer in as we are part of the crew on board .
Absolutely loving this NZ trip .What a epic view in the background , i am sure the camera doesn't do it justice .
Lots of love from the west island (oz)
Itâs definitely more beautiful in person so if you get the chance to go you should :). Thanks for watching and commenting, we really appreciate it!
Oh my god Colin, the cinematography of your videos rival the professional movies. Your drone footage is nothing short of breathtaking. I canât believe this is a CZcams channel. Each video just takes my breath away at how beautiful they are, This video looked exactly like Jurassic park. What an amazing opportunity for you and everyone you have shared it with. Wow!! Happy 21st birthday Sharkboy! Looked like a birthday celebration you will never forget. â€
Wonderful episodes Colin. You have probably done more for tourism in New Zealand than most. It is truly a marvelous piece of the Earth!
It sure is!
Another amazing episode!! Thank you for taking us along!đ
Glad you enjoyed it!
Incredible. The footage, the scenery, the natural beauty, and the camaraderie of the crew. All brought together in a way that we all got to share in. Best show out there. Beats everything on discovery channel by a yard glass.
Really appreciate that đđŒ
You guys are all so fortunate to see these sites that hardly anyone in theworld see.
Thatâs for sure! We were all feeling so grateful đđŒ
Just one word. BEAUTIFUL
đđŒ
Itâs so much fun watching the revolving crew come in and have their minds blown over and over. You 4 could be doing this all alone but you choose to share the journey and that inspirational. Sending love from Toronto.
PS Dying to see the reunion with the pups!! Hahah
Sharing the experience is one of the best parts :). We canât wait to reunite with the dogs! Not too long now đđŒ
I think I watched every single episode and every time watching this make me smile â€
Thanks so much Cristian đđŒâ€ïž
Spec-tac-u-lar. Absolutely stunning scenery, and well done for laying-on such a personal 21st for Taylor. That'll be a lifelong memory.
It sure will be!
You canât beat this channel. Better than anything on CZcams or TV.
Thanks so much đđŒ
â@@ParlayRevivalWelcome to Indonesia
This part of New Zealand reminds of the topography around Vancouver Island, Canada. Once againâŠexceptional editing. đđșđž
Thanks for that! Britt really did a fantastic job with this one đđŒ
In 92 I spent 4 weeks in auz and nz. We did a boat ride in Milford sounds Brings back some incredible memories â€â€â€â€
Itâs absolutely worth the trip!
In '92, my husband and I spent 4 weeks in AU and NZ for our 25th anniversary. Mitford Sound was on the must-see list. Forever after, we considered it one of 3 most spectacular places in our world. It rained the day we got there, and we kept saying we wished it would stop. The next day it stopped and it was beautiful BUT then we wished it would rain again because it was actually more stunning in the rain. It was there that we met and had dinner with a NZ couple, just one of several who chatted us up and ended up having an adventure with. Beautiful land and people.
Colin, I love how excited you are to see your own land after seeing half the world and are able and willing to share it with us (stuck on land.)
Top shelf just keeps getting raisedâŠthe people n places combined to MamĂ©s memories foreverâŠgoodonya Colin n JamieâŠ.two of the best kiwis I know đ
Jamieâs from oz but thanks mate!
When some have a chance to feel what mother nature shares with us & that moment you get overwhelmed with beauty and when she can bring a tier to your eyes, she has done her work. respect ~
Indeed đđŒ
Once again Parley shows off that beautiful country. Looks like our BC up in Canuck country.

I drove through the Homer tunnel to Milford Sound 40 odd years ago and still have fond memories and those bloody sand flies, clouds of them, loved the vlog and looking forward to next week đđđ
Haha clouds of them is so accurate đ we were warned but man they are awful
Fiordland is magical. Thank you for sharing where the mountains meet the ocean.
Couldn't agree more!
You could feel the uplifting vibes of various emotions coming through to us viewers on this video, definitely one to remember for those on Parlay.. how spectacular and beautifully remote..
Most definitely!
Epic again!đđâ€â€
Thank you đ
Amazing . Not the swimming with pigs in the Bahamas type of repetitive video on youtube... This, like Sweet Ruca's Cape Horn circumnavigation, is dreams that can only stay like that forever !! Epic stuff Colin
Thanks a lot mate, really appreciate that
Memorable moments. Fresh sound water.
For sure
Next level EXCEPTIONAL! The SPR team is outstanding in every way. What a wonderful community. Me thinks you all should be ambassadors for NZ, if not for travel, period. Best wishes to everyone and everything for the future. I'm inspired :)

Travelled around New Zealand in my youth backpacking in 1985, thought I had seen it all, but this is spectacular. Best footage to-date Colin, truly breathtaking. Thank You for sharing this with us. Much Love to you all from Sarawak, Malaysia.
My reason for sitting on my couch in the middle of a Sunday. You never disappoint. Again the views are breathtaking. Thank you for having so much fun lol.

I â€ïž Parlay! Thank you all!
Did I just watch National Geographic with my favorite characters? The footage was stunning and actually put tears in my eyes. Beautifull scenery that most of us will never experience, mixed in with a little bit of birthday fun. Thank you. I will always live vicariously through what you're showing us.
Hey there Colin as all the previous comments what a cinematic masterpiece you were so lucky to. E able to experience what you did with the great crew. Alone Australia was filmed down that way as well and the contestants also had major issues with the bloody sandflies. Thank you for allowing us to all be part of this magical journey, take care, safe sailing and God Bless you all đđâ”ïž
Your adventures in New Zealand have helped me to fall in love with this gorgeous country. The land and people are both quite groovy. Groovy Rocking Birthday Shark Boy.
This is better than anything produced by Hollywood... I could watch this for hours.
You have been amazingly lucky with the weather. The circumnavigation has been brilliant so far.â”â”â”â”
We really have been! Thanks for watching Gary đ€đŒ
Another outstanding episode. The comradery of your crew is a joy to watch. The way you capture the beauty of the land and water exceeds my wildest imagination. The talent of those filming each other and controlling the drone shots is exceptional. Each week, I am so impressed by the edit, narration and history I learn of your locations. Kudos to all.
I canât think of anymore adjectives! Absolutely amazing, epic, beautiful, incredible- okay Iâll shut up now đđ€Łđ. Bravo Parlay- canât wait for next week!
Yay đ
Wow these videos just get better and better! It was like watching something from National Geographic.. or David Attenborough in the wild.. amazing
NZ has so much to offer, especially their fabulous Colin. Always thinking ahead, Yard Glass for Shark boy, he's such a love. Vid's all too short!!
