I liked something I said to a colleague, earlier:
I *have* to use Linux, because I'd rather have a tough time making the OS do what I want it to do, than trying to stop it doing a ton of shit that I either don't want it doing ... or don't even _know_ that it's doing.

Another enjoyable stream-clip that I run while working. As always, thank you Chris.
Regarding Windows, I'm old as dirt and have been using Linux in a professional capacity since mid-90s and today I'm only running Windows for the games that needs that extra little horsepower and/or needs the proprietary 'rootkits' by the games. So, using Chris' very nice tool, incl a few other personal tweaks, I rip out as much crap from Windows as I can, but keeping it so it still can update properly (for the security patches) etc. No need for security as there is literally no real security (or privacy) on Windows. As I KNOW it's insecure I don't run _anything_ strange or unsecure if I can help it. Also, knowing it's insecure and will be compromised, either by Microsoft themselves or 3rd party, I revert back to a spotless image (read below) now and then.
I'm awaiting AtlasOS 0.3 before I try it out as it's said to keep the WU intact in that version.
My recommendation is to set up your Windows system properly incl WU, drivers and the basic tools & utilities. After that you run Clonezilla (or something like Macrium Reflect Free) and make a full system image that you can revert back to. That way you can always go back to a clean and working Windows system without spending hours upon hours installing everything again and again.
Windows feel slow and no apparent reason for it? Restore image
You're not sure if something infected your system? Restore image
For most reasonable installs it takes 20-30 mins for a full image restoration.

Get around any complaint by connecting drive up to another PC via USB and just edit it there.
Search out all the .exes and change them to something super small instead, so you know when something else tries to call it.

I'm not even going to watch this video. From the title... Edge is the webview and webview2 component of Windows 11 and forward, like Webkit is for Android and Safari is for IOS and MacOS. Much of Windows new settings and features use this to make low resource, fast start apps, and I use it for making apps for cross platform too. If you were a poweruser you would know this and not try to remove it, as little as you would try to remove the cpu firmware.
