Turmeric Fish with Dill "Chả Cá Thăng Long"

    500 grams SWAI fish
    3 tablespoon minced galangal
    1 tsp turmeric powder
    2 tsp rice flour
    1 tablespoon plain yogurt
    1 tsp oil
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    1 tsp shrimp paste
    Notes: Combine everything together and let it marinate for 2 hours or more, best is overnight.

    Dill
    Green Onion
    1/2 White Onion
    Notes: Cut dill and green onion to 3 inches long and thinly slice the white onion.
    Dipping sauce: #Tyaskitchen
    4 tablespoons lime juice
    3-4 tablespoons white sugar
    4 teaspoons fish sauce
    1-2 red chillies , finely chopped
    2 cloves of garlic , minced
    4-5 tablespoons water
    Notes: Adjust more or less to your taste.
    Serve with white vermicelli noodles, lettuce and vietnamese herbs.

    When the HELL did Vietnamese people started using dill? (I’m Vietnamese BTW) shocked as HELL

      Not that often, but for this dish dill is the key ingredient.
