    My first car was and still is the 2001 Toyota Corolla conquest seca. I’ve had it for over 10 years now. It had under 45,000 kms on the clock before I purchased it from an elderly female driver who only drove it to the shops and back. For a 23 year old car with low mileage I’ve only ever had to replace the spark plugs which was only last year. The battery of course I’ve replaced, and the tyres when tread has gotten low. It’s been and still is an extremely reliable car. Have had no problems with it; regularly serviced, and will probably run for another 10 years! I’m not planning on getting rid of it anytime soon.

  • @paulmiles3457

    In the current supply and demand problem, these cars are generally not available. Double the price, and then this video makes sense. I purchased a first car for my daughter this week in Melbourne. In the real world, all I could get for $4200 this week was a very nice condition 2006 Nissan Pulsar. Not sure why the Pulsar did not make the list as they have earned their stripes to be on it. I think this video needs to be re-done to reflect the current reality of what is actually on the market keeping in mind the full drive-away price. Then we will be looking at Pulsars, Corollas, Camrys, Lancers and Echos.

    • @franzchong5889
      @franzchong5889 Před 2 lety +1

      good luck finding them that cheap.I went to a car warehouse out of interest this time four years ago to look at a 2013 Pulsar.They wanted $13,000 no haggling all I had to add on was on Roads and a Alarm and maybe at that time spoke to my own bank for a deal trading in a 2010 Micra for that.50,000km ex Rental mind you but one of the best cars at the time in the class,This was at a time when you could no longer buy them new and Nissan Australia thought they could make more money off Dualis and X Trails then off retaining the Pulsar and Micra.Chances are you can still get a car in the class but unless it's Japanese good look finding anything.these days it's closer to 10 to 12 grand.

    I went from a 2004 Mazda 3 Sport to a 2011 (facelift) Corolla (well, Auris here in Europe) recently - glad I seem to have made a good choice with both cars, hahah! The Auris isn’t nearly as fun to drive as the Mazda 3 (especially since I got the 1.33 VVT-i version, lol) and it’s got some really scratch prone interior (the silver parts at least), but it’s very comfortable, spacious and has a quite quirky interior design that I like, with it’s high placed gear stick and the “tunnel” underneath, lmao.

      I have a BK Series 2 last of the Series So It was built November 2008 but first delivered to it's first female owner in the last week of February 2009.The Power Steering Pump was recently replaced after packing it in at around the 214,000km point with one from a wrecker(i am the third owner)not much has gone wrong taking into account the car will be 14 at the end of the year,routine maintenance things that the dealer near my work could not do properly(Edwardstown Mazda in South Australia)were sent to Paradise Mazda to be corrected.I came from a 2017 Holden Spark that sadly got written off by a truck last May on my way to work for good never to be seen again and using the insurance payout money was sold on the 3 after looking at new Fiat 500's,Kias,MG's and even a Mazda 2 Pure but could not justify the waiting time and silly money through finance companies for any of that lot.a step backwards in terms of age but a step forward in terms of safety.This thanks to Ford owning Mazda and Volvo at the time had all those airbags as standard(New for something Japanese at the time but we can thank Sweden in their platform shared V50/S40 Volvo's for this in the higher spec 3's of which my maxx sport is)
