So many new players, it's hard to know. At Edgbaston yesterday some Blues fans were telling me they thought Jota would want to play the attacking link / roving role which Grealish seems to have. It was unbelievable and if we can get back into Europe in the next few seasons what a time that will be for all u young lions following our great club.. Shay Given was 35 Nd we spent 5 mil to bring him in and what a job he did for us. McLeish's season ending with 36pts and then one point I said would keep us up was that gsne away at WBA. Shay's save very late in that game gave us a huge point and went towards us staying up with a paltry 36pts.. We were awful that year but Shay was brilliant and I truly believe Tom Heaton will do better for us now we're back. I will be happy if we finish anywhere from 12th to 15th this season and I know a lotta Villans will expect more but we mustn't get carried away. That was a good win today but how many of that team, RB Leipzig, were their 1st choice side that got them Chumps LGE footy mate.....??? Even so it was a good win and I do believe we will cause some of the top sides in the LGE problems if we defend at our best. We have the attacking threat to do real damage but I also see it being a season of ups and downs, and our brilliant supporters, especially the "HOLTENDERS IN THE SKY", will have to back the players and coaches 💯%, and te usual booing of the players can not be allowed to resurface ever again. It will be up to every supporter to keep a lid on that Max mate and I hope u use ur voice to help with that. There can be so much good come of our time in the 2nd tier that this should be the rebirth of our fine old football club and long may it continue. U have to use all the Avfc channels to keep the support onside for the seasons to come because u are so much more important to te players and coaches than u could ever imagine.
