Cheers bud, we lost composure in the last 15 to 20 minutes and I know we were hanging on for most of the game but we can take some positives, we led for over an hour 👍

It doesn't matter that we lost. The boys were gutsy. We held off a top 4 team for 80 minutes. There are lessons to be learned but so many positives to take from the game

Felt bad for Mings. Great performance from him, then the ball deflects off him for their equaliser and then off him into Kanes path for the second. No doubting Eriksen changed the game in their favour and we laboured towards the end, but a lot of positives to take. UTV
I'm a Spurs fan and I love watching vlogs from the opponent's point of view. Villa were so compact and showed Norwich how you play when you go to a top 4 team in the prem. Hard graft and unlucky in the end but Spurs have so much experience of breaking teams down and winning late, its in our DNA. I think Villa will do well this year attacking at home and being compact away. You seem like a great group of lads and best of luck for the rest of the season.

I thought Wesley was a bit of a whip if I’m honest, he kept on going down far to easily & moaning far to much, I guess we’ll have to put it down to him inexperience of how physical English football is, so let’s hope he learns quickly.

We had to try and catch them on the counter in this game and in other games against the top 6 but like I said thats not our usual style of play.
An honest opinion of the game by VOT. I am worried that Villa sat back so much when that is so unlike DS. Grealish was class, Engels was good and Mings better in the second half but they still were not picking men up in the penalty area. Jota was poor when he came on and Wesley was incapable of holding the ball up. Things will improve and I hope you do well this season (from a Brentford supporter living in Bham since 1990).

As a lifelong spurs fan growing up in the 80s, villa was always a top team, always have had a soft spot for you lot, proper team, best support in the Midlands, glad to see you back in the big time, I think it will be a long hard season but you won’t go down, great video by the way, I think class and tiredness showed in the end, thanks for your comments about our world class stadium, sad to see the old lane go but I guess we have to keep up with the times, good luck for the season boys. First half Villa played great but then second half you got to tired and Mings got done a few times but the result wasn’t to bad to be honest... McGinn scored a great goal but I thought Trezeguet played very well looked good....

You played well on Saturday, but the problem you had was trying to defend the one goal lead for all of the second half with the class we've got was going to be tough. Great video again Max. Like a lot of people, I was surprised by the team selection to be honest but most of the lads acquitted themselves well. I thought we sat far too deep in the second half though and invited too much trouble onto ourselves. The gap between our midfield and Wesley (cos we were virtually playing 4-5-1) was huge and he never stood a chance for most of the game. However, I thought he was poor all day, but then so were El Ghazi (particularly second half) Jota and Kodjia - the latter two were totally anonymous in fact. Wesley and El Ghazi need to have John Terry in their faces on Monday morning too, explaining to them what it means to be a man in football. Stay on your feet. If you get clattered, don't dive; plan your revenge - but subtly. Give as good as you get. Fans are sick to death of whinging divers. It's time we saw some REAL fighters back in the game. I think Keinen Davies would have been a proper star in the role Wesley was supposed to have played yesterday. He really knows how to hold the ball up and shield it from opposing defenders. He battles for everything and the Centre Halves will always know they've been involved in a game when he's been around. He may not have the fancy Brazillian touch but he's all heart and fight. Wesley hadn't got a clue and he lost the ball every time, often rolling around on the floor whinging. His first touch is awful too. I hope he improves the 500% that he needs to against a team like Bournemouth next week otherwise this is going to be a long, barren season, at least until January when we might be able to bring in a goal scorer. At the moment Wesley really doesn't look like he's the man to lead the crusade but I'm not going to totally crucify him on just one appearance - especially Spurs away. It was backs to wall yesterday so it was always going to be difficult for anyone playing up front for us. I just haven't seen any of the things that might lead me to believe that this kid could be another John Carew or Christian Benteke in the making though. I desperately want him to succeed but I'm just not seeing anything encouraging that says he will at the moment. Prove me wrong Wes! Please!!! UTV VTID

I did laugh at the predictions before the game but you got it spot on and then got optimistic and changed your mind. It's very difficult to defend for that amount of time with the ball moving around so fast but don't judge yourself on this result.

Fantastic performance against a very good team. Some of my doubts about Villa have been quashed after what I saw last night. I thought you’d struggle to integrate some of the new boys quickly, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem. I still think Grealish will take a while to adapt to the premier league level and last night he was your weakest player in the second half. Good luck villa, from a Liverpool fan.
I think Taylor was class
Sat way too deep at times and weren't ambitious enough pushing forward. Defence did incredibly well to hold out for so long.
A good bunch of positives to take and a lot to work on also.
Equally though, Spurs couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo for a good while, and their decision making was attrocious until Eriksen gave them a kick up the arse. They had the chances to score a lot more though and attacked at ease.

Quality vid as usual fellas. Game plan worked in the first half. Didn't think Connor deserved to come off. Heaton, Mings, Engels, McGinn, Grealish & Trez all looked Prem quality. Wesley looked a little frustrated at times but he'll get more ball at home as we'll have more than 30% possesion. With better full backs to come in and Marvelous and Luiz I reckon we'll be just fine. Spurs fan here,. I didn't see us scoring untill Erikson came on, but that's the big difference with the top 6 and the rest of the league. We have players that can come on and complete change the game.
Villa just have to play with the same heart every game and not just the big boys, if you do that you will be fine.
Being honest here I can see you doing it now and again and not all the time and I believe you will go back down.

Had to listen to the game yesterday with a bunch of spurs commentators on the BBC. We handled them well until Their Danish superstar came on. The only guy who can get Kane to score.
