I bought nearly these exact parts for my first computer build before seeing the video and came across it for the motherboard installation. It felt like hitting the jackpot. Thanks for the help!
Me too i bought almost the same exact parts the only difference from my build is the cpu i went with the 5700x the gpu the pulse 6600xt and cpu colloing fan is different put everything else is the same the motherboard the ram.ect
@@enoclugo5679is the motherboard good?
Me too.
I needed this so badly thank you!
this is legit the perfect pc building video theres legit no bs talking
Dude I just wanted to drop a message and say thanks! I bought these exact parts (with different RAM) and this was super useful/informative. Great job!
how it perform?
I made the same change, from FX 8350 to Ryzen 5 5600!! Very useful video for me, thanks!!
congrats bro!!! im getting a 5600x and the same mobo soon too!
I have these exact components minus the fan. Thx for the vid. Dropped a like.
ty! this is exactly what I'm looking for
Awesome mate.Thanks
Thanks for the awesome video! Hoping you’ll do a benchmark test for different games!
I would recommend to playce the motherboard on a soft surface or just the box it comes in, so the back doesnt get damaged by putting in the ram for example
Thank you for your video, helped a lot
Detailed Clear explanation PC build
Nice walk through
I was looking for some video about this mobo before building my pc and surprisingly we got almost the same parts. I'm using a dark rock pro 4 cooler and unfortunately in my case these rgb Ram sticks are too tall so couldn't install the cooler. Going for the non rgb at this point.
Thank you for your tutorial however, it was very useful! 👍
Nice build!!!
Thanks for your tutorial. Could the bios be flashed with the button on the back instead?
nice video man! what kind of power supply you using to power that?
thought i was a pro at installing cpus after watching this. Ripped the amd cpu up with the fan several times, cause i panicked due to the pressure i had to put on the air cooler xD luckily it still worked.. even though the pins are friable, its kinda stupid safe. Anyways, amazing video, the calmness is the best part. Doing it like you've done it a million times before, helps a noob like me out by calming me down. Thank you!!
Really helpful and clearly ty
I wasn't expecting to see that Athlon!
I am in the middle of upgrading my FX 8150 I built 12 years ago!
I'm going to use the FX for a minecraft/Plex server going forward!
How to sort out to the use of type-c in the front panel? I have the same board with the with corsair 4000d airflow case. At the time i didn't think it would be handy be thinks changed.
Had this exact ram and cpu had my water cooler die after a year and 2 days warranty expired by 2 days -.- been loooking all day for something that air cooled that cleared the ramm Ty so much
Hi, where is the logo with the heatsink from, going down, there is a clear track, which goes down to the audio chip, to make it clear, is it an audio track or LED? what temperature do you maintain under stress, with this heatsink? Thank you
thank you. I am wanting to build a new pc for content creating
hey question, so i have this same motherboard, and i have a 980 pro ssd, at first i installed it on the bottem slot because i didnt think it mattered where to install it, but samsung magician was saying it was pcie gen 3x4, and too install it in the pcie gen 4 slot, so i did, i moved it to the top slot, now its saying its pcie gen 4x2, but the motherboard states that there gen 4x4? and i feel like im not gettting the right write and read speeds, is there something i need too enable in bios? im kinda confused on why it says gen 4x2 and not gen 4x4 lol, a reply would be nice cause its my first time installing one and im kinda confused.
ah thanks needed to make sure i can use vengeance rgb pro on the motherboard, couldn't find it on the asus compatibility website
Thank you
Yes, nice build. The only thing I don't like about these monster air coolers is the way they hang over the ram. I saved my FX9590 & AM2 Phenom builds to. Except instead of another setup with them they hang on the wall like art. Like - nerd art? Cheers.
Hi what is that white thing you are holding at 10:18? What is it called and where can I get one?
Nice build
13:29 Hi, I have a question, does this motherboard already have TPM integrated? Is it not necessary to install it or do anything additional? If I install Windows 11, will it install without problems? thank you have a nice day
i'd like to mount noctua nhd15 second fan in the same way (cause tall ram). What's the cpu clearance of your case ?
I'm glad I caught this video. I didn't realize I could run 3600mhz memory on this board. I thought it was 3200mhz for some reason. Thanks for sharing ha .
The board is a B550, so 4400MT/s is the highest it can run on. The limiting factor is (in most cases) the CPU, as Ryzen 3 has a warranty void when going above 3200MT/s.
thanks
I want this exact build, just a different tower. I want the Lian Li LANCOOL II case. Because I may want to upgrade, I will get a new power supply too, probably 800w. but ya, I want that. Thank you for the vid, I have been searching forever on a build that suits my needs, this does that.
did you change the back plates?
REALLY COOL JOB ❤❤❤❤
Which way to connect pwr and reset switch?
Does it matter?
And if it does which side is ground? My connectors just have an arrow. Is that + or ? Is that ground or not?
Does anyone know if the stock cooler works with 4 Chanel ram, just bought a pack and I’m not sure if 4 is going to fit (didn’t check before ordering)
I built similar one yesterday... diference was NH-D15S Samsung 980 Gskill TridentZ CL16 3600 and Win10
Would you recommend this mobo for a 3090 gaming/streaming setup?
im waiting for 5800x3d , but the bild is ready and i push start without cpu but dont started anything gest the logo asus ..whitch is the problem??
Me gusto mucho tu ensamble, me di cuenta de que no había instalado correctamente el M.2 (Tu PC es casi igual a la mía).
I just finished mine with 64GB of RAM 3200mhz, Ryzen 9 5900X OC, Radeon 6900XT 16GB OC, and H100i Elite Liquid Cooler, Samsung 980 2TB Nvme, and a 850W Segostep PSU. The case is a Mid ATX, yes, full ATX would have been better but my budget got me the mid ATX. Now I see that I have to tweak the Bios settings in order to get full performance from all the components.
Fortune favors the bold. I am just starting a very similar build using the same mobo, and CPU except mine is a 9 5900x. I bought two SSd's just for fun. I have 32 g of memory. Its nice for me to see it happen in real time, I learn far better when I see it happen rather than being told.
built my pc like 7 months ago and the thumbnail was so weirdly familiar to me , same mobo and ram , tho i went with corsair aio 240 , 3070 ti ,1 m.2 gen 4 and 1 m.2 gen 3 and 2tb , happy to see this mobo and ram being used in other builds tho , good video
How did you get the Wi-Fi working??? I plugged in the Wi-Fi antenna and it’s just saying that there’s no Ethernet cable attached
Grazie👍
thanks Champ
what gpu you recomend to this MBO ? amd6900xt or gigabyte rtx3070Ti
I stumbled upon this video and its great because Im getting a similar PC with the only difference is in the case (cooler master h500p mesh) and the GPU (MSI 3060 ventus x3) This video is super helpful since I’m going to assemble it myself 🙏
hows the build so far bro? i just bought the same gpu

Hey I have a question, will it work with a ryzen 7 5700g core? Or will it need a bios update? And will any two ddr4 ram sticks work?
I want to upgrade my motherboard to the asus b550 f but am wondering if I would have to buy windows 11 again if I do
Just want to say amazing video 123k views should equal 123k subscribers I will be following your guide to building my own pc
i built a similar build but i used the asus x570 tuf-plus (wifi II), ryzen 5800x3d, and 32gb team group ram and a be quiet cpu cooler
wow! its like if you made this video for me!!! same components and i had no clue of how to assamble
how did u download the latest bios onto the flashdrive ??
Question: I purchased the Lian Li 011 Dynamic and I'm installing a ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING MB, I'm attempting to connect the System Panel Header and I can only find 1 connector, labeled Power SW. There are no additional System Panel Header Connectors. May I assume that that's the only System Panel Header Cable it needs? Because I don't see any HD LED and as we know the case has its own LED Module at the bottom of the case. I'm lost, did they integrate the case to MB by some other means? The installation book shows all System Panel Header connections, but no additional cables/connectors to be found. I wondering did they screw up and left those connectors off. Plz advise. Thank You
I don't know that case, but based on this: czcams.com/video/YFA2IW-Rn5A/video.html I'd say you should have more connectors.
do I have to clean the cpu chip for the heatsink will it still function properly
great video and very informative. question, would i be able to use 2 sticks of 8gb corsair 3600? also for the ssd a wd sn770 which is a M.2 PCIe 4.0 X4?
im totally new to pc builds and i am thinking of doing this build and parts. thank you!
Yes and Yes.
Yes you can for both, just make sure you are running in dual channel mode. Consult your motherboard's manual if you are unsure
Also, make sure your cpu and gpu are properly paired. This video was made in the height of a gpu shortage, so he only had a gtx 1060 on hand. While that is a decent graphics card in its own right, pairing it with a 5800x is a waste, as you will be spending far more on a cpu then you need to get the most out of the graphics card. A 5800x is better paired with a rtx 3070ti or along those lines.
I hope it works out for you. Happy building
What kind of case is he using in the video?
He said, "Noctua is the best company" and i was like, say less. Subscribed. Although I used a be quiet Dark Rock Pro on my B550 F and that boii is chonky.
i just install my new board proc and aio . ryzen 7 5800x , rog strix b550 f gaming with nzxt kraken x63 . start bios , my cpu temp 57c . why not same ? idle already high temp . i though its only 40-50
did you have any problem with that ram? using 4x8gb 3600Mhz??
👍we’ll explain
I have the BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro cooler and the same mobo,i must admit that the ventilator clips of the Noctua are much better i like it.......
im about to use the same motherboard and im a bit confused with the 8pin + the 4 pin connectors in the pot left. do i need to connect both of them?
The easy answer is 150 watts www.gigabyte.com/Support/FAQ/2773
Many manufacturers limit an 8 pin connector to 150 watts, but some of them allow you to get around it. For liability, nobody wants to really say what's possible because there are too many variables. Some really cheap PSU's can have very thin wire that can overheat. Combine that with a bad pin crimp, poor connector design, corrosion, and bad solder joints and it's possible to start a fire.
4 of the wires on an 8 pin connector are positive. According to this calculator, if you use 4x 18 gauge wires, that equates to 1x 12 gauge wire. www.wirebarn.com/Combined-Wire-Gauge-Calculator_ep_42.html
Keep in mind, the wire coming from the breaker box in your home to the outlet in your room is 12 gauge.
Volts x Amps = Watts. The 5800x is rated at 105 watts without overclock. This is a 12 Volt system. 105w / 12v = 8.75 Amps. According to this calculator, at 4 feet, a single 18 gauge wire is usable. www.wirebarn.com/Wire-Calculator-_ep_41.html
The liability answer: An 8 pin connector is fine for this build, but if you want to be safe, use 12.
What srews did u use?
Hi. Do you sell old motherboard and other parts ?
I didn’t get a spacer that fits the right screw
Anyone know if you HAVE TO update the bios with this cpu and motherboard
Mine did not started after installing windows 😢 its just freeze in the windows logo
Is this a good build I’m new I already purchased a processor ryzen 7 5800x help please
How do you install the clip
That motherboard looks insane.i went from H270F strix i5 7400 to this one with R5 5600x (i dont need more cores). I did reuse my 32GB of DDR4 2400Mhz but darn this thing fast as fuck
Did you have to update your BIOS in order for it to work with the 5600X?
2:05
how is the 970 evo plus faster than the 980 pro?
970 evo plus is rated at 3500 mb/s read and the 980 pro is 6700 mb/s read
which PSU is good with that specs ?
You used the EPS x8 plug to power the processor, is that enough or do I also need to plug in an additional x4, is it necessary? I don't intend to overclock the processor, for now I will use Ryzen 5 3600
You get the same voltage regardless if you use 8 or 8+4. The only difference is the amps it can handle. I tried looking through the manual for the board to get a manufacturer answer, but the closest thing I could find was on page 1-10, it said the 8 pin is required and the 4 pin may be additionally needed: dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/ROG_STRIX_B550-F_GAMING/E16610_ROG_STRIX_B550-F_GAMING_WI-FI_UM_WEB.pdf?model=ROG%20STRIX%20B550-F%20GAMING%20(WI-FI) I remember reading a while back that high end 9 series cpus may require the 12 pin, or extreme overclocking. It's also worth considering the cables from your power supply. If you're using a cheap power supply with cheap cables, they may overheat with lesser loads. According to google the 3600 uses 65 watts, so I wouldn't see any need for the 12 pin in any scenario.
How did windows work without enabling TPM I’m about to do the same set up but everywhere I look it says I have to enable it for this motherboard! And how did you not get a black screen at the start because from what I’m seeing you will need a bios update first with pc switched off but plugged in! Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Heya there. Everything worked right out of the box. I didn't have to do anything of that nature. I have had to deal with this on an older Intel board here: czcams.com/video/a7DbYYFBX9Y/video.html but this one had everything ready to go. My guess is first generation B550-F boards were shipped with an older BIOS that needed more TLC. This board has been out for a while, so my version likely had a lot of issues already solved. Hope that helps.
@@distractor_beamreviews thanks a lot that makes sense, shouldn’t be a problem for me either since my motherboard was manufactured in ‘22
Do I need to use there spacer?
Che psu hai utilizzato?
This could be ignorance but I’m
Still learning and am considering this cooler:
On their website the additional fan is placed on the side where the RAM is. Obviously you want both fans to be facing the same direction? If this is the case, is there a problem with you installing the fan on the opposite side?
If there are any misconceptions or anything I’m misunderstanding please anyone clarify / teach me
The most important thing is that they're both blowing the same direction. You can flip the fan around and install it either way. The main reason for putting it over the RAM is because most of the time there's a case fan right next to where I put the 2nd fan. Putting 2 fans that close together is a bit ridiculous. You can see them next to each other at 11:47. This fan is bigger, more reliable, and higher volume, so it's arguably worth keeping it on. I'm using the NH-D15S on my personal computer. It's basically the same cooler, but with one fan, and it works perfectly fine. You could easily do the same thing with this cooler with maybe a couple of degrees difference. There's 2 reasons I didn't put the 2nd fan above the RAM. The first and most important is because it wouldn't fit in the case with the side panel on. The second is because I didn't want to block air flow over the RAM that would be covered by the fan case. Now that I think of it, there's a 3rd reason. The cool lights on the RAM. Hope that helps.
Brother, if you are still learning, there is no point on going with this cooler, yes it is one of the top there is in the air cooler department but honestly its better used on overclocking which means messing around with stuff, if you are going to stay on stocks settings even a half priced cooler like the artic 34 e sport will do the same
Do you need a bios update for ryzen 7 5800x3d?
Can you do a video of removing the gpu from this specific mobo?
Can I use 2 8gb of these Rams without a problem? (Same build)
83 degrees is high, how high do the temps get with a ryzen 9 5900x?
Hello so I have the same motherboard but it doesn’t recognize a mouse it always says 2 keyboards 0mouse and 1hub and I have windows installed on my new ssd and it worked fine but not it doesn’t boot and the screen stays black someone help me please thanks
I got the wifi ii and it won’t work. I also bought the wifi and it came with a broken capacitor and it won’t boot up correctly (crashes last second every time). I don’t recommend this board tbh
Hey, just installed ryzen 7 5700x on the strix b559 f wifi MB.
I can't get win11 to install. Something with Tpm.
What did you do?

I got a similar build minus the gpu and I’m water cooling…. I’m rocking the 4070 graphics card
IM GOING TO WATCH THIS 10 TIMES SO I REMEBMER EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

can u tell me what the exact cpu heatsink u got I’m building a pc and i saw your vid and really want that
It's a Noctua NH-D15. There's also links in the description.
First time building a pc with the same mobo and 5600x mobo almost didn't fit in my case the rear exhaust fan has less than a mm of play but it fit 🎉 case is mag forge 112r
How much cost that full build.

Yes.
@@distractor_beamreviews thank you bro!
Hello!
Im building my computer but im still confused about chassis and are researching. What chassi did you use for that build?
It's an old NZXT Phantom
@@distractor_beamreviews Thanks
Why are you plugging the panel headers in individually when you already had them on the block??
The block was from the old motherboard. It wasn't a direct match.
Just built this Motherboard and I made sure my Ram is fully inserted. 16x2 3200. My DRAM light comes on when booting. Not sure what to do. My RGB lights come on but I get no display. Made sure my cooler isn't to tight on the CPU and reset the bios.
Does the DRAM light go off after booting, or does it stay on? If it stays on, you could check to make sure you're using the correct ports. At 1:32 I show the Dimm port labels. With 2 sticks you'd want it in B1 and A1. So 1x1x. Check the label to make sure it's the same.
That's my rig!!!
