For those wondering how can she move the robotic arm, there's a special CPU in the hand that detects musle movement and strength etc to then transform it into code signals to tell the hand what does it have to do.
Absolutely amazing! Like obviously ultra amazing for the purpose!! But i also love how fashionable they have made the whole thing! Just extra gold stars to the engineer
@@goonergooner5350they *are* calm. what’s the point in spreading hate about this? you do realise that at any point you could need a prosthetic one day yourself. i hope you can realise that and be kinder
This is really amazing technology. Life changing I’m sure! I can’t wait to be a Nurse and be apart of changing someone’s life for the better. Congrats on your full independence! ❤
From my rough understanding, they take the electrical impulses that *would* control the finger movements and that gets translated to the machine movements. Great feat of engineering to pull it off in a non-invasive way
@mongmanmarkyt2897 Unfortunately, I don't think we are there just yet. The models I've seen interpret small muscle movements/tensions in your forearm and translate that to fingermovement.
@@tomtenisse823It’s still reading electrical impulses from the brain we are just one step below fully motor functional prosthetic implants. Amazing it’s able to read brain activity 😂
this is why i want to be a biomedical engineer when im older. i want to help design products that are actually usable, and can help people so that they are capable of doing everyday things, especially prothetics

there’s this guy in my county who lost his arm in a woodworking accident, I think. he was tired of arms not fitting him or looking right or working right, so he made his own. he can move his wrist and all his fingers independently. he’s a complete badass.
