The Czech Republic's initiative to purchase 800 units of artillery ammunition for Ukraine was joined by Germany, Norway, and Lithuania. The necessary funds have now been collected. If the ammunition reaches Ukraine soon, it will show the Czechs' strong ability to participate in the international arms market.

Regarding neutrality, I am reminded of a quote by Sir Thomas More that I will paraphrase: "When the devil attacked a neighboring village, I did nothing, then, when he attacked my neighbor, I did nothing; so, finally, when the devil came for me there was no one left to fight for me!" The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing!
The reason why Sweden did not join NATO after WW2, was because Finland, that was under enormous political pressure from USSR. If Sweden joined NATO, Finland risked to be forced to join the Warsaw Pact, and Sweden/Finland did definitely not want that. So Sweden did stay neutral for the sake of Finland.
Not the political statement that Sweden AND Finland did join together, but nobody did expect the Turkish and Hungarian problem. Not also that Finland first official act, 5 seconds after they joined, was to approve Sweden NATO application.

Rumour has it the Czechs had already accumulated the shells in Czechia and elsewhere ready for transport to Ukraine before announcing to the world they had "located them", but the various suppliers wouldn't release them until the cash had been paid in full.

About a year ago I was sitting in a Czech pub with a friend and he said we have just two weeks before the election for Pavel and he will have a party in his local village town the night before the election, you’re gonna paint a picture of his town and we’ll present it to him. So we rode bike the next day 36 km in freezing weather and I managed to paint the town, we eventually presented it to Petr and you should have seen his face, so smiley , so genuine, I got to then spend about 5 minutes with the soon to be Czech president and I thought, this guy will do great things for this nation. Just incredible
That's a really cool thing to do! I can imagine exactly how he felt. A few years ago a neighbour painted a picture of my beloved cottage and gave it to me when l had to sell it and move. I was absolutely stoked and still treasure it.

We are Baltic not Nordic
In this modern Europe, you're both part of a wider European family. And after Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the threat that Russia represents to all of us, that's never been more true than now.
Solidarity and respect from Portugal where, despite being on the western tip of Europe, we have as much responsibly to step up and help defend Eastern and Nordic Europe from a very dangerous neighbour. Never has Europe felt smaller and our Eastern European and Nordic neighbours as close. Public support for Ukraine is rock solid here and in Spain next door. And it will be just as rock solid for you guys.
All European countries need to step up a notch or two. Especially France, Germany and the UK (where I'm from originally). Putin's aim will always be to drive us apart and pick us off individually. We absolutely must ensure that this must never happen by working much more closely together and letting our actions, resolve and demonstrable solidarity do the talking.
Portugal and Spain are unlikely to be invaded by North Atlantic dolphins. The threat comes from Russia and we absolutely must now gear up and equip ourselves to act with our European NATO and EU partners especially to meet that challenge.
We all should never countenance the Baltic or Nordic States being invaded and deter that through real and demonstrable strength.

As a Swede I am equally happy for Sweden finally being accepted into Nato. It's a strong alliance, and being so close to Russia we need to have strong allies. I am turning 38 this year, old enough to remember the final years of the cold war and the talk of submarines and spies on the radio news. The world will not be safe until Russias imperial ambitions are kept in check.
Literally every major power and alliance is imperial. No one is innocent. Support no geopolitical side. Just support your own household/family.

Hi Artur, great video. I agree with your assessment of Estonia's and the Baltic countries security strenghtened by Finland and Sweden joining NATO. I would like to add that I live 400 kms or 250 miles from the terrorussian border in Finnmark, Norway. Norway's security has also been stengthened by Finland and Sweden joining NATO. Instead of a 165 kilometer border in Norway against TRUSSR, we have also the Finnish border, the Baltic Countries border, and Swedish islands in the Sea of Botnia. As a Norwegian Army vetaran I'm very happy to have Finland, Sweden and the Baltic countries as members in NATO. Norway are not alone in the north against TRUSSR, united we are stronger than ever.

The Armed Forces are in need of people who have IT, logistics, and the desire to protect us. Our 3rd longest border is Russian, 2nd is Greenland, Denmark, 1st is obviously the US.
I don't want to be a battleground between without our own strength.
Canada needs to step up to the plate. Shame on all Canadians for relying on America to solve every problem. You guys cheer for the US to do more, but you do so little for anyone but yourselves. $4B dollars over the course of 5 years is not enough.

I met a Czech girl last summer. She said everyone there still calls it Czech Republic.
It’s mostly non Czechs who use Czechia, although on a lot of official paperwork in the Czech Republic Czechia is used. My friends in Prague just say CR.

Anyway like someone carrying Czech nationality, equipped with Czech passport can tell that you can use both without any confusions. You can say Czech republic same as Czechia. You will be accepted and tolerated with both, foreign person, noone will really care if ull use that or these. Different is when we talking about our country, mean Czech 2 Czech, than we will normally use word Čechy or Czechy as Eng language isn't using signs above letters, definitely not Czechia...As if somebody will use this Czechia word with Czech nationality, than I'll be like wtf u just said???? Chinese spy agent ????😮😮😮 Person born n raised in CZ will never say Czechia- or few exots maybe will....
Estonia really got a great deal from Finland and Sweden joining NATO. Y'all went from being the northeast fringes of NATO to being comfortably nestled beneath two large, heavily-militarized nations.
We’ve had good relations with our Nordic neighbours for centuries, especially Finland and Sweden. The NATO chain being complete has a strengthening of unification.
Ukraine receiving Gripen's would be amazing! Requires about half of the runway that F-16's need so I'd imagine they'd be extremely versatile being able to use pretty much any highway as a runway. 24 days and counting until my flight leaves, understandably nervous but I'm honored to be able help in any way I can.

Congrats Estonia! I say that as a Swede. I had the opportunity to visit your country just a year after the liberation. It was still Sovietic and horrible in many ways, but your attitude impressed on me. Very nice people. I think many Swedes are ready to bleed for especially Estonia, God forbid that it´s going to be needed. Several Estonian refugees and their offspring have come to occupy important positions in Sweden as you probably know, most famously the illustrator Ilon Wikland I guess.

The Saab Gripen has a much more robust landing gear than the F-16, not needing a super smooth runway. These Saab fighters make more sense than F-16's for the Ukraine.
They also need much less maintenance and trained ground crew. Thus a Gripen is like some 2.3 F-16:s.
The E/F is actually more advanced than the F-16 they got. but I doubt they will get anything but the C. Still, I think it's going to kick ass.

Some facts that don't add up. 1) the munitions factory that makes mortar shells is in Scranton, Pennsylvania- Biden's hometown. Why isn't this featured. Is anyone suggestion that production has stopped while congress debates. We're workers layed-off? I don't think so.
