Thanks for info-!
Thank you for watching!
Superb.
Thanks a lot
Hey hey, thank you for amazing video! Have you ever experience Xiaomi Remote unstable? Mine keep disconnecting and blinking blue light. I’ve tried placed it near router, reset device, reset router, still unstable. Would you have any advice for me? Appreciate it, thank you!
No i haven't but had a similar problem with another Xiaomi device and was sorted out by changing some of my WiFi setting such as channel bandwidth and radio channel.
@@TechTronic9000 Ah! Will explore. Thank you!
Do you need to have the gateway machine for humidity sensor?
U need to plug in the power source to use or just charge it will do?
It needs a USB power source.
Wow.
I'm glad you liked it.
Hi, i have few question like to ask would appreciate if you could help me: i want to control non smart daikin air con in a room which i could not enter freely daily, i will be controlling it through apps however the people in the room will control the air con with the default remote control. In this scenario,
#1: Will default remote be still usable? will it confused the app ?
#2: can i know if the device status (on or off) through the apps?
#3: if i set schedule/timer in the apps. will the default remote control timer overwrites the apps schedule it if they set timer on the default remote control?
#4: Xiaomi Mijia Smart IR Blaster must be placed in that room or i can place in the living room just next to the room?
#1 It will still work, it will be like having 2 identical remotes, each time when a remote operates changes the AC settings to the used remote.
#2 No, not with this device as IR is not bidirectional in AC so you don't have feedback. You could use an AC/Gateway combo and that one will show you the power consumption so you will know that it works, see here for more details: czcams.com/video/B-yUPFBPYt4/video.html
#3 Each time when you send an IR signal the AC will use that, so if the remote control removes the timer then the IR blaster will remove it also.
# It works like a remote using IR so it has to be in the same room.
Thanks for sharing. May I know which air con brand will be supported ?
It has a large database with probably most existing brands.
Will work with xiaomi hub v3 and aqara sensors ? Or for aqara sensors i will need aqara hub ? Thanks
This works independently, it connects to WiFi and you can set it up from Mi Home. You can also use it for automation such as turn on AC when a temperature sensor goes over a threshold.
It works only over wi-fi? You can't control air conditioner for example when you are away?
It works on WiFi so it connects to your router that it is connected to the internet so you have cloud access / mi home access from all over the world from your phone or tablet.
Hello, please can you tell me how many meters will work the aqara m2 hub to comand the AC ? I have a broadlink rm4 pro and will work at the distance of 2meters to comand the AC.thanks
This has very good range, it work even at 10 meters from my AC.
It is not available anymore, are there any alternatives? I only found Orvibo CT10 Magic Cube, but it's twice as expensive and can't find temp/humidity (seems like its out of stock/discontinued)... so it's pointless to install for automated AC control (if the temp falls > turn on).
You can now get the new Aqara M2 gateway, it has multiple uses as a HUB, zigbee connectivity, WiFi connectivity and the IR function. Here is it bit.ly/3202YhS
Hi. Does the ir blaster work with koppel?
I don't know what "koppel" is.
Hi the smartphon must have I.R fuction i have samsung?
If the timer function work weekly programing?
You don't need IR on your phone, you need WiFi and internet for both your phone and for the Xiaomi smart universal remote controller.
This will work in Spain? Or what is the equivalent brand that will work in Spain if this one doesn't work?
It works regardless of the country, it does have a country option for setting it up, but that is app-server related and it's still going to work regardless of the country you are in.
If i need to control some devices at more than one room. Do i need to use more than one ir blaster too?
Infrared is directional so you will need probably multiple devices, one for each room to be able to control your devices.
Please, which server you're using? I mean what's your region?
On China mainland.
Hello, does it work with xiaomi smart home security gateway global version?
It works independently of a gateway, it connects directly to WiFi
Is it possible to simulate a long press of a button? In order to start my device, i'm required to long lress the start button. Thanks
It can copy the code of a remote so probably it will work.
@@TechTronic9000 it doesn't work! I bought it but the long press sends several times the signal, not the long press signal 😯
Will work with aqara sensors ? And google home ?
This doesn't have a HUB functions, it's an independent WiFi device that integrates into Mi Home. You can use it as automation such as enable you AC when a temp sensor reaches a threshold, or turn on the TV when you open the door, etc.
Can you please answer this question, i cant find the answer anywere.... Can this be used as a gateway to connect my temperature sensor to interneter, so i can use the temperature and humidity sensor to see whats the actual temperature of my room????
I want to use it with my air conditioner
No this doen't not have the HUB function, it's just a cloud based IR blaster than can also work with smart home automation.
@@TechTronic9000 Thanks for your response :) I bought this socket from grearbest to act as a gateway for my temperature sensor: www.gearbest.com/home-smart-improvements/pp_3006680493790584.html?wid=2000001 im from europe btw so i will have to use some adapters to make this work xd
Does seem it is available anymore
Will work with 433mhz ? With dooya motor
No, just IR - infrared remote such as TV/AC/ etc.
Can Infrared signals be spread through WiFi? 🤔
No and yes :) It has a code database, you control it on WiFi and it will generate IR with the appropriate commands.
I have it for a few months now, and it is really bad.
The application takes ages to load, sometimes I have to restart it for it to show the device. And since the servers are slow the response times are also not good. For some reason the device goes into standby every few minutes, and you have to wait for it to come up, which basically adds unnecessary delay to whatever you want to use. Also you cannot connect it to Google Assistant.
I have it connected to the homeassistant which works better because it has pinging, and this disables it from going into standby, but It has proven too much of a hassle, and I would recommend not to buy this device.
It's interesting as I've read another similar opinion, still my device beside some slight delay it has never had the described problems., as for Google assistant i don't use it. I'm using mine withe the "slow" mainland china server along with another ~ 35 Xiaomi devices.
Can you a video on ava cube better known as avatar cube
It's the first time I hear about this avatar cube. I will look into it.
Will work with a xiaomi tv without alexa ? Can i open netflix from the phone ? Thanks
Yes, you can map you TV / TV box remote if it's IR.
Does the automation task still work without wifi connection?
No, it needs WiFi to work.
Darn... I was hoping it would still execute the scheduled task even without the wifi connection. Thanks for the reply anyway.
@@skyung5677 , other IR blaster works on mobile data but you need initial WiFi connection to interface. In India Wipro IR blaster works with mobile data provider connection but for initial set up you need WiFi. You can control your Smart plug , A.C , TV , Smart Bulb etc from any where from the the world . You can schedule the timing of smart bulb .
BTW with IR support mobile you can create remote control from your phone . Huawei mobile devices have IR .
You can control it via mi home cloud from anywhere in the world that is why it needs its connection to wifi.
Any idea, will it work with Alexa Assistant?
Yes
@@bomm3r367 Please tell me how!
Does it work on EU servers in Mi Home?
This device is sadly China Mainland Server only
Works with China server, haven't tried it on EU as most of my devices are CN.
Maybe if you pair manually it works with eu servers?
Could this connect to Google Assistant?
No
Plz tell me can I use it when I m so far from this device ??
Yes you can control it from anywhere in the world as it connects to the Mi Home cloud app.
@@TechTronic9000
It is only for one room or all rooms of home??
If your original remote works from another room then this might work also, which I doubt as IR is directional so needs to be in the same room.
@@TechTronic9000
Price ??
Does it have voice integration
It had through Xiaomi Mi Home, don't know about other services.
Can it also Control RF Devices?
No, just IR.
Is it support HomeKit
I have never used HomeKit so i can't advise you on that.
Can remote a slot machine with this . Can you explain pls ?
What is a skot machine?

My phone don't have infrared blaster. Can use it?
Yes, because this device has infrared, you control it with you phone though WiFi and internet cloud.
I cannot find anywhere this product... Can we find a replacement ?
Sadly Xiaomi seems to no longer produce this device, they will have a new IR integrated HUB, but that will also be expensive. You might be able to use this one instead, but not for home automation bit.ly/3Hsh378
@@TechTronic9000 Thank you for your answer , I hope to combine with my xiaomi app... Maybe I wait for a new release.
Does it support ios?
Yes
How to setup? My app is not connecting with the device and all in Chinese...
Use china mainland server.
TechTronic9000 But How?
App name?????
I can't connect with my aps. It's not in the aps option. Any suggestions?
Change Mi Home server to mainland China, it should work. Also enable location, Bluetooth and WiFi on phone and ensure that you set it up where your WiFi has signal.
If you switch to Mainland China other Mi devices bought in EU (example: heater) will stop working and will no longer be available. So, is there a possibility to change firmware / configuration to EU?
App name?????
Mi Home
Aaaaaaaaaahhhhh .
🤣🤣🤣
It's not connecting to mi home
Try on China mainland server
This stuff doesen't work. Tried many times to install it. Always fails
Have you tried on China mainland?
@@TechTronic9000 yes. I have all devices on china mainland. The app recognized the stuff but while it try to connect to the router it timeout. It makes it every single time I try with all routers I tried
There is one more thing to try, on your router change your WiFi channel to 1, 5 or 11 and see if any of these will help connect.
I have this device but im unable to use it because if i set region to china my roborock s50 doesnt work... Im in europe btw... It works but the issue is only in the stupid software... WTF Xiaomi...
It's because xiaomi has 2 type of price category - China/Cheap, Global/MoreExpensive. sellers buy from China and sell Global, so Xioami implemented CN / Global firmware and we get this trouble that you have. I try to always buy CN stuff as all my smart home works OK on CN mainland server, althoug a bit slow sometimes.
It seems the device is sold out. Impossible to buy anymore.
Yes, looks that way as I have searched for it and it doesn't seem to be available anymore. You might try this alternative, it's similarly priced: bit.ly/35WxvMd
@@TechTronic9000
A question please: Will this BlitzWolf alternative be compatible with the Xiaomi Home app?
@@fdhsdrdark As much as I like both Blitzwolf and Xiaomi I can tell you that sadly they are not compatible.
Yes I’ve been searching everywhere for this but cannot finde it.
Any advice to find similar item works with Mi Home app?
