-Assuming your DVR is IR controlled and it is within range you should be able to control it
- Yes you can use the app from a different city!
- Yes you can add multiple devices!
If you already have a meross product this fits right in but if you are just starting out on your Smart Home build I'd recommend finding another ir controller that uses the Smart Life App instead... just my own preference... taking a quick glance on Amazon I found this one: geni.us/yeTAy (I have not tried it but again I would prefer to have a smart life app device instead!)

its a lie, YOU ARE NOT "GREETED TO THIS HOME SCREEN" instead you need to create an account. Has a non removable tab pushing ads "as well"
Thanks for the feedback. This is very valuable to use as I don't think about how literal my words can be taken. I am not aware of the ads on the app so that must have changed since my time of review! Yes you download--->sign in---> this home screen in the app.
