It would make my year if United gave Southgate the job
Chelsea pensioners would look 10 years younger 🏋️⛷️
I would make my coffin
I think he would be perfect for Man United. Get him in!
I don't think theres a club in the country whose fans would be happy to find out Southgate was their new manager,
Speak for yourself not others. Top top manager
@@DavidThomasshowgive me the blunt you're smoking please
@@corgansow6173😂😂😂 mans smoking hard stuff there
@@DavidThomasshowand one person agrees with you 😂
To be fair, there are teams in the lower reaches of the EPL who might, just might, hire Southgate. Certainly, he could manage in the Championship; he wouldn't do anything with a team in that league, but he could get a job there.
Southgate doesn't play to win. He plays not to lose.
Exactly the same as Moyes.
Same as old Woy. Thank god he's gone
Southgate has Bellingham, Kane, Saka and Foden among others and he can't get over the finish line so far. At United he'd have players like Rashford
Exactly. It’s absolutely illogical, so that’s why Man Utd will probably hire him..
Bellingham wasnt in the Euro squad. Saka wasnt a starter then.
Its not like hes had this squad his whole time in charge.
This tournament he has no excuses.
After southgates awful game management against Italy Andy and Cundy were literally putting the phone down on people who criticised he's tactics. They both said he got everything spot on and wouldn't change anything. Majority of the nation know what Southgate has been like for years, Mr safety
Exactly, hypocrites.
Southgate is a brilliant manager, as long as he's not managing my club !😂
Andy is by far the biggest flip flop. He said that Southgate has been the best England manager for a very long time and deserves credit and recognition for it, yet slams him potentially managing his own club lol
Still thinks United are a top club and can get big names and managers.
Well you see there’s levels to it. You can be a “good” England manager and a terrible contender for a club side. There’s a reason all the best managers aren’t doing international coaching
These guys all work from a script. They say what they are told to say.
Southgate can't win the big game
@@jackhewitt600if funny because it is a top club
One could argue that England are only good because Southgate doesn't coach them every day...
spot on
@@CZcams.com9990 not sure why anyone can't see this at this point.
A good manager would have them trouncing all competition
Hahahaha Southgate at Utd would be amazing! 4 holding midfielders against the likes of Crystal Palace would be a sight to behold!

Southgate teaming up with his boy Maguire at United. Can just see the outrageous on the fan tv channels now
I wish I worked in an industry where when I failed to achieve anything - or worse, got sacked because I’m so bad at what I do - i could still be seriously talked about for the very best jobs in my field. What has Southgate or, worse, Graham Potter ever done to be in the frame for the Man U job?? Why is football management the only position in the world where a CV full of high-profile failures is an advantage? Drives me nuts!!
There are others as well but yes you’re very very correct … football industry as Keano put it… is a ‘job for the boys’ club
How does the very best jobs in my field equate to the man utd job?
@@pappathescooper He should know he got the Sunderland job.
The only thing you said wrong here is that Potter is worse than southgate, otherwise spot on
Graham Potter gets unfairly slated for filling in the chelsea job for a couple weeks/months when in reality you could combine the best of pep klopp saf and they couldn't fix that mess, especially at that time, this far on and look at em
Perfect man for the UTD job.
Southgate sailing along on the crest of some amazing talent. Venables would’ve been mopping up tournaments with the players available today…..
Venables legacy as England manager is losing to an aging Germany squad managed by Berti Vogts, then bailing on the job because it got to stressful
@PremierTraveler to be fair to Venebles, media scrutiny back then was far more intrusive, influential and brutal than it is today. Nobody takes the media seriously nowadays which automatically translates to less pressure on England Manager job. And that was still a pretty talented German team to be fair! It's not like they stumbled their way to the final like Greece did in 2004 for example.
@@PremierTraveler Couldn’t be more wrong. He left because The FA wouldn’t give him a new contract until after the tournament whereas Southgate was given an extension after failing to win several tournaments….
Southgate at the wheel 😅
😂😂😂😂😂
Southgate should not be the England manager, never mind the United Manager he is a joke 😂😂
United is his level
@40yearoldvirgil15 Southgate is not a legend like united used to be
its funny everyones rates Southgate until he's linked with their club🤣🤣🤣
Id love to see him at united just to see Goldstein's and goldbridge's tears
😂😂😂
After Erik Ten spot. Its probably an improvement.
he is better man manger but tactically clueless@@irieite9666
Won’t happen
@irieite9666 so you think he's better than ETH. You're taking the piss and I don't even rate ETH 😂😂😂
That Southgate has managed to win no competitions with arguably the greatest set of players in international football history is an absolute testament to his level and the level of blindness surrounding his support. England will probably never have a squad this good again after these euros so when he bottles it get ready for another long long wait
Because Gareth plays the greatest final choker Kane
@@robertlee6338well Southgate chose to park the bus in the euros final and that nerphed the attacking players like Kane sterling Saka etc
Pundits say how great Southgate has done but as soon as someone asks whether he could/should manage at their club, suddenly he's not so good hahahaha.
The media loving of Southgate is unreal. He's flopped 2 major tournament opportunities and could have done better in a 3rd too. England one of the best squads but everyone knows we won't win. This is the reason why.
Bring Back Jose let him sign who he wants rid the players he said are dead wood and are still there today
Nobody else can help us rebuild but the special one.
that’s my opinion
Southgate worse than ole😂😂😂
Like for like I reckon!
Ole is better I think
It's about time people realise England have done well in recent years despite Southgate, not because of Southgate.
I have been writing this exact same line.
I think its time for some one who is close to andy to get him help with his mental health he clearly isnt right . He thinks its the year 2006 man u are no longer a top 4 team and then if we thought it couldnt get worse then arteta or emery would go there now he thinks there too good for southgate . The best managers man u could get roght now are potter or southgate
Bro is delided to the point i genuinely worry about his mental health
Agreed, he's lost the plot. No wonder Soccer AM sacked him. Constantly contradicting himself and becoming more deluded by the day.
😂😂😂😂
Man United have finished above Liverpool more often than not since Klopp came in
Ok .. cool 😂😂😂
Southgate is an absolute faliure. The midfield 3 and front 3 for England picks itself, and the fact that there's even a discussion around it is mental. A midfield 3 of Bellingham, Rice and Alexander-Arnold and a front 3 of Foden, Kane and Saka wins the euros (and maybe the world cup too.)
Who was the last England manager any one wanted for their club? In the last 20 years we’ve had erikson, mclaren, capello, Hodgson, allerdyce and Southgate. No top club would want any of them after they had been at England or during.
Capello literally won the League with the World's biggest club months before getting the England job
@@thecontextual1one411 yeah and what did he do after? I knew someone would bring up capello. We had a terrible tournament with him in 2010 we struggled to win a game playing against rubbish in the group then got smashed by Germany first knockout. What about the other managers I mentioned? Can go back 30 plus years can remember one manager that did anything after England.
If a change is made then Emery, Nagelsmann, Tuchel ones to look at Imo. No obvious candidate though maybe it is worth waiting a year see if ETH turns it around and if not might be some more obvious candidates. De Zerbi could be option seems a bit of a gamble.
Being linked with Brian potter and Southgate the comedy club continues 😂
Southgate's priority has always been safety first. As Goldy said, his focus is more about how the opposition will play, rather than letting them worry about England. The quality he has to choose from now is unreal, and he constantly picks those undeserving. No PL club would take a gamble with him. Club football is vastly different to International.
There's more tactically astute managers in the Vanarama league, than Garth Gormgate
Paul Cook for sure. But he's much better than Ten Hag too.
During this period, we didn’t need a tactician - we had that and it didn’t work for the 15 years before. We needed someone to bring unity with players/dans/FA and make players WANT to play for England. He’s done that as well as getting to major final and semi finals.
When he leaves, hopefully someone brave comes in while keeping what Southgate built
@@matthewbrears2129you need both, you can't just have happy players off the pitch, they need to have a gameplay on the pitch aswell as many other contingencies which Southgate isn't capable of implementing, he's had the easiest runs, a great group of players and the only reason we havnt won anything is because Southgate dousnt have it when it comes to game management and overall tactics.
Andy says they dont need 2 holders 😂 they do in order to protect Maguire and his lack of pace
Just play walker like City do to help Dias being slow 🤷♂️
Utd haven't had a big name manager since Jose. No one wants to go near that dump.
No problem 😂😂 we cool
I can see Southgate doing a great job coaching another international team such as Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, maybe even Republic of Ireland.
Overall he’s done an excellent job at England after the dross we saw from McLaren, Capello, and Roy
He let the whole nation down in the euros final with his absolute cowardly tactics and then didn't have the authority to tell 2 players that had never taken penaltys before step aside for more experienced heads.
As a City fan, I am praying to the football gods United hire Southgate, the circus will continue excellent entertainment
at least you would have a style of play under southgate
Southgate's record for England is like getting Man City to play League 1 teams. We have a super talented squad playing a lot of minnow teams and the only way to judge him is in the semis and finals, where he has been woeful.
Oh God yes PLEASE 🤣
Southgate will be a fantastic coach for Man Utd! He would be brilliant and take them to another level.👏🏼
😂😂😂 plz bring him
Get Southgate in to Man U BEFORE the euros 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Southgate at the wheel! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I must admit it's quite fun watching these two BS artists say they don't want Southgate at their clubs, after years of telling us how great he is as a manager for getting the best England side for quite a while to beat semi professionals, then lose to any half decent team.
If he doesn't win euros with that squad, he should never manage again
great move for man u great friend of ashworth a step up for man u after eth
No one talking about Inzaghi , now that’s an underrated and undervalued coach. I would love him at LFC if we don’t get Alonso.
Seems like my fellow United fans don't actually care about success. The fact that some are actually talking up tax exile Jim sickens me
Andy could be used as an anti drugs advert in schools
Fans and pundits always say United need a big name to manage them. I disagree United are in a mess and its similar to Arsenal before Arteta. They need a man to steady the ship, get them in and solidify them as regular top 4 challengers. Someone like Potter, Frank or even Dyche.
Been saying it for years: Allardyce or Warnock
As a fan of a PL team that's not Man U. I think they should definitely sign him up. Firstly it'd be great for England if he wasn't there and secondly it'd be great for the shits and giggles. He's massively underperformed with the England squad he's had available.
Being an LFC fan Southgate to man utd yes yes yes please
This just proves the international team is not held in the same regard as premier league clubs. No one would want Southgate as their club manager but are more than happy to have him as the long term international manager.
Why not have moyes as you big him up so much
Southgate is the perfect man for the job because the manc's would deffo be keeping slab head while he's in charge 👌😂😂😂
I think managing a national team and managing a club are completely different things. Southgate only has a few weeks a year with players. His job isn’t about improving players, it’s about creating unity and bringing players together to work for England. He’s been a great at that, but not sure how he would do at a club day-to-day
Gareth to united 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
"Are you comparing Henderson to Becks?" 😂😂
Why ya slamming the idea of him becoming their manager I think it’ll be a smashing idea that
Would be a bottom of the barrel appointment, an embarrassment on a club who has had managers like Sir Matt Busby, Sir Alex Ferguson, and Jose Mourinho at the helm. No to Potter and Southgate and Yes to Tuchel, Conte, Zidane, or Flick.
Southgate has taken the best England squad in a long time and one of the most talented squads in the world and has won NOTHING. Even lost a European final at home.
Southgate hasn't got the players as things stand at Man U.
And if he did, i don't think he has the Balls for that job.
No no no no no. We want southgate. 😂😂😂😂
GS is the Tim Henman of football management!
The way the team plays under GS is the green equivalent to how GS was as a player.
Most teams in their history go through tough years so United can't pick and choose their manager too much at the moment. But if Arteta wins the PL and Southgate wins the Euros then they would definitely be good enough for 'current' Man Utd. At the moment, neither would be a fit. In any case Southgate will pick based on who he prefers and reputation rather than who deserves to play. Gareth has been doing that for years.
I'd love it if he manages them, love it
This is why West Ham fans don’t want Moyes.
Benty: I would have him…. As a number two. 😂🤣
Would love to see Southgate go to United just to see & hear Goldstein lose it.
It's funny how being someone's friend clouds our vision!
England fans don’t support Gareth Southgate they support the amazing group of players they have to choose from
The ability of that group has got England through the distance they have in tournaments despite Southgate’s tactics not because of them
I'm not English but England has had near the best squad for years, and currently has the best squad but Southgate has won nothing with that team.
I think Southgate should be considered at United just because if you look at the situation of the England players when he came in and their relationship with the rest of the country in the media, it was awful. If you look at Man United situation right now the players are all over the place. It can’t be coax into putting out of performance consistently. I think Southgate men management could be really useful. He’s also used to dealing with bigger players recently that even 10 hog has because he deals with all the England stars like Kane Bellingham, Foden, etc. and he’s been shown that he’s not afraid to discipline people when it’s necessary 🤷♂️
Southgate hasn't brought England together. It's just that all rivalry has gone out of the game. If he'd been there in the days Keane was telling Viera to shut his mouth, Southgate wouldn't have lasted a month.
I think he will be amazing!.
That call Saf was Neil Warnock taking the piss
why does southgate get credit for bringing the dressing room together. This is the age of social media all these players are mates and go on holidays together etc its nothing to do with southgate.
England win games inspite of Southgate because of the talent of this group of players. Nothing about him is an elite club manager. Hes more a politician than a manager at England. I think some of these names just come out so if/when they do change the manager fans say at least its not Southgate.
He’d be better than ETH and that’s a fact. He gets criticised for being too defensive but ETH is clueless tactically. Southgate would be a good stop-gap for United to settle things. Andy is like any other United fan, always chasing the ‘big name’ and that’s exactly why they’re in the position they are
So Goldstein tries to palm him off to every other club but as soon as he's "linked" to Manchester United?
Hypocrite of the highest order
Gets angry for Bent comparing Beckham to Henderson while himself compares Beckham to Messi 😂😂😂
I think everyone’s missing the point. I don’t think Radcliffe and Brailsford (and he’s critical here) think they can turn around United overnight.
Brailsford is ALL ABOUT mentality and culture - Southgate is elite at turning around cultures based on his job with England…. As is Thomas Frank.
If you think you can fix every problem at once, you’re sorely mistaken.
I have to be honest, I take great joy in saying I told you to the people I know who backed Southgate… I said he wasn’t good enough from the second he got the job and I never wanted him.
Could he be brought into united to change the mindset and rebuild a sqaud with the right mentality compared the current team.
i'd love to see that
Slate Southgate as much as you want, but when was the last time England had a manager that would be considered for a top job.
Gosh that would be life sentence
United have a dutch southgate be happy with that.
he's not good managing on the pitch nor off (player selection)...
Andy you’re not fine speaking facts. Take the mic 🎤 and keep trucking
Kane, Foden, Bellingham, Saka, Rice, Walker and Pickford should be without hesitation in the first team without any discussion.
The rest of the positions are up for grabs but those players HAVE to be dead certs.
I’d say Stones is a definite starter
Goldstein has bad memory or is lying about not wanting Southgate to remain as England manager and praising him. I remember vividly how Goldstein and Cundy praised and defended Southgate after England lost the Euro final at Wembley to Italy.
Solskaer, Ragnick, Ten Haag, Southgate… sounds like their level to me
So who do realistically Utd fans think they can get? Who is even available???
"if I was talking to AJ before the fight" 😂 like he knows how to fight anyone other than youtubers or people who work for uber
I thought the mention of potter was funny but Southgate is somwthing else 😂😂😂😂😂
Andy that's the level United are at atm and have been over more then a decade 💩🤡
Ok .. we cool mate 😂😂
It's laughable. Absolutely ridiculous to suggest Southgate would even be considered by a top premier league club let alone that he would be successful if he was ever given a top job.
I think he would be the perfect fit 😂😂😂
Southgate has way too much class for that midtable side.
Palace!
How could Man Utd even consider Boring-gate as their next manager. I suppose Maguire would be extremely happy as he would start every game unless injured. Man Utd need someone who has a philosophy of playing attacking football and encourage and produce new talent. Southgate is the exact opposite, unwilling to give new talent a shot and sticking by players on past exploits, Maguire being a prime example. To be honest though it would not surprise me if this did happen, and Man Utd waste another opportunity to move the club forward.
England have under achieved under Southgate with the players at his disposal
