Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels at Mania 21 is an all time favorite for me.
I was 12, it was the first Mania I ever watched and that match just blew my mind. It's definitely the match that made me appreciate the art of pro wrestling
Video idea: Hypothetically book Starrcade 2002
Yes!
Huh, I like it.
But there was no Starrcade 2001 either, so why not do that first?
@@Jetfire507PTYthat's why they said "Hypothetical"
@@ahmadceasar5484wcw ended in March 01. So there has to be a starrcade 01
Batista vs. The Undertaker was a great WM match. Their entire feud in 2007 was great. I really hope you explore it in a future video.
That was a really underrated match. Batista was very underrated in the ring, he could put on a good match for his style and physique.
Agreed. Their Backlash rematch was great and even their steel cage match on Smackdown was solid. He should cover their entire feud not just the WrestleMania match. It was a feud I vividly remember as a kid and one I enjoyed very much.
I seriously thought Batista was going to retain the title and end the streak i was distraught lol
It may not be a 5star classic in an egg, but Macho Man vs Ric Flair, Wrestlemania 8, is still one of my favourite matches, Macho was my man, the match was fire for a kid and the ending was wild!!
Macho sold the knee so well. Absolutely agree, nostaligia to the max.
Loved that feud and match, WrestleMania 8 is still one of my personal top 5 WrestleMania’s of all time
Agree - Bret Hart is my favourite wrestler ever and his match with Piper is great but Macho Man and Flair had the match of the night at WM8.
Same
I'm a firm believer that the WM12 Iron man match would have benefitted from being a regular match just with a 60 Minute timelimit
End it the same
But sitting knowing there isn't a fall for the whole 60 minutes is tedious
By far my favorite wrestlemania match, tho i had never considered your idea here. Would have been even better your way but there was something cool about knowing they would wrestle for an hour ahead of time, even if it did end up being slow paced.
Same, Ironman matches just seem to have a built in idea that there has to be more than 1 fall. If there was just going to be just 1, why isn’t just a regular match then.
@@JohnWilliams-wl9pxHindsight is 20/20, people watching at the time did not know that ahead of the time. It was the first time the Iron Man match was on such a grand stage.
It should have finished after 43 minutes.
I enjoyed the match. If I kept it an Ironman match they both could have score one fall and did the finish with Shawn in the sharpshooter as time went out going into sudden death.
If it were a regular match they would do everything they did in the match but cut the rest holds in half and the match would go on for about 35 mins.
Just Monday morning quarterbacking
19 had a lot of jam. I was there. We actually went there in a limo. I was wearing a fishnet shirt. We pulled into the parking lot and I did the devil horns out of the sunroof. The crowd thought I was Jeff Hardy. They got out of the way so we could park.
It never happened...false..we made that one up.
I was confused with hulk hogan until i actually wanted that foreman grill deal and they said "what grill deal hulk? You hulkin up again calm down"
Fishnet shirt?
Who are you... Trent Reznor??
I was actually at the event I live in Seattle
You sound like a Rockstar
Shawn Vs Undertaker at WM25 is my favorite Maina match of all time. I started getting into wrestling in the spring of 2009 as a kid. My friend’s older brother was a wrestling fan and let me borrow a few DVDs. WM 25 was one of them. When I saw the match, I was just in awe. I rewatched that match so many times before I gave it back. I feel that nothing will ever top what those two did that night.
Bro, you just made me feel old af LOL… I agree with your comment, however I got into wrestling in 1999.. as a kid, it’s nice to see the next generation appreciate the guys WE had as main eventers. Anyway, I’ve not watched WWE in 10 years, apparently now it’s getting back to scratch? Cheers buddy

Looks like Shawn Michaels truly is Mr. WrestleMania.
And Undertaker v Shawn Michaels matches would inevitably be the best
@@jonnybaynham1689
You'll get no argument from me there.
What time are you going to meet Steve Blackman? We just need to proclaim the time of death to the coroner
Yep, you made me snort a bit over here.
Man I loved Steve!!
Mufug O' clock
Pretty cool that Bron just did Rick's powerslam counter on a recent episode of NXT.
The ending to The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 26 is a visual that is still in my mind. Shawn doing Taker's signature taunt while down and weak, showing the defiance until the end. Their match the previous year is better, this is still close.
HBK is and has always been my hero. Undoubtedly a complete prick mid 90s. HOWEVER, comments like this just show it’s never too late to turn it all around. ( except Shawn was Mr Wrestlemania since forever)
Agreed
@@jayboy2kay7 agreed
If HBK has a mania match you know it'll be the best that night
I was thinking this to while watching this.
Even against McMahon it was great.
Honestly Mr Wrestlemania basically stole the show each year he was in it from WM 10 on.
Not WM 11 though Kevin Nash ruined that one
Yeah. For like 20 out of 40 wrestlemanias, it's either taker or shawn with the best match and in the remaining they both didn't probably wrestle.
13 Austin v Bret. My favorite match all time.
The greatest ever
edge vs mick foley at wrestlemania 22 was an amazing match i liked the fact that joey styles was on commentary during that match great list.
Bret Hart winning the IC championship was my first match to see, now I own that belt.
As a kid seeing Babyface vs Babyface was really rare and awesome
Bret Hart vs Rowdy Roddy Piper
Hulk Hogan vs The Ultimate Warrior
British Bulldog vs Bret Hart
Also many great heel vs heel matches where both got heat too
Your glowing review of New Orleans made me light up. I lived near there growing up and it's where I went to watch all the WCW and WWF shows late 90's-early 2000's. Thanks man, fun place. Lot of memories there.
I was 12 when I watched the first WrestleMania, it was shown on Rediffusion TV in the UK ... god I'm old. lol
I'm right there with you, "brother"! LOL
Make me feel young. One of my first memories of wrestling was bret vs Owen cage match and watching and razor vs Shawn ladder match. I’m sure if I dig in my memory banks I can think of something earlier but the cage match stands out. Back when cable was analog and here in the states we could get these black boxes that unlocked EVERYTHING. I was exposed to porn in kindergarten or 1st grade thinking I was changing to the space channel. Turned out to be the spice channel and because the unlocked everything the tv turned to a dude and 2 girls on a boardwalk one was getting railed the other was begging for her turn. Wild fuckin times.
@@MaynardOwnsDid you just use this as an excuse to tell us you like porn because it kinda feels like you used this as an excuse to tell us you like porn.
Hey guys, was the WWF around on UK TV like this for the very first one? I have family of a similar age from the UK but from reading and watching stuff it always comes across like it was more later on in the 80s going in 1990 specifically it really boomed in the UK. Again even when I've heard about how they showed Mania 1 it doesn't come across as like it was on sky sports as most of it would be going forwards but I've never heard of the channel you mentioned so wondering if this was a showing of the event at a later date etc.
@@themaniacaljc3228 not many people had Rediffusion, as it was a cable service in the UK which showed all the WWF programmes. you would see a bit of WWF on the Saturday wrestling on World of Sports on ITV. it wasn't until the satellite station SKY came along in 1990 that American wrestling (WWF, WCW, ECW) was seen by the masses.
Don't sleep on Batista v John Cena at Mania 26 too. Brilliant build up with both guys on form, and was just all-go once the bell rang.
22:00 after Punk and Randy talked about their WM match, i so want Taker and Punk rewatching and talking about WM 29.
Doubt that'll happen, Taker said Punk is a bitch at his one dead man show in Cleveland last year
I don't think taker likes punk that much. If punk personally apologizes to him, then only would this be possible
Totally agree with pretty much all of your choices. That triple threat at Mania 39 was wild.
Mania 13 was the first WM I watched live. You just knew you were watching something special with Bret and Stone Cold. Still my favorite match to this day. HBK-Goozle from Mania 25 is a close 2nd
The amount of Undertaker matches on this list really says a lot to me about how important the Undertaker was to Wrestlemania.
Or how much say he had backstage lol
@@urmumsflapshe wasn’t really a politician, he made the business his first priority all the time, he’s by far the most respected guy in the history of the business and he wouldn’t be if he was using his status to benefit himself alone
@@Bsmith806 ur thinking of politician kane
Undertaker was loyal to Vince and was a yes man, which is why he had such a long tenure.
Or how a lot of those Manias didn't have remotely any competition to the Taker rmatches. Not to diminish them as most of the latter ones are classics, but you can't name another great match on those Manias to compete in 75% of them.
I firmly agree with the idea of a video covering Undertaker/Batista.
Also the title of this video really confused me, I was thinking 'is there a magazine called 'Fix' or something?' and then I just realised you were fixing an old video - I'm dumb, I'll just shuffle off now lol.
I was at Mania 32 and let me tell ya, brother, when that glass broke and Stone Cold walked out the POP was so loud I had an out-of-body experience! On a side note, I've seen every Mania live since the first one and I'll go on record and say, pound for pound, from the first match to the last, WrestleMania 17 is the best Mania of All-Time!
Have a fantastic time at Wrestlmania this year! I really enjoyed this video and am envious you have been to New Orleans as I would absolutely love to go!!
I have an idea for a video. How about a video about your best ever wrestling spots of all time?
The "im sorry, I love you" guff was just incredibly cringey for me. TNA had taken over this era for me so not sure on the post mania 20s but minus mania14 (has to be Shamrock v Rock) your choices are on point 👌
I think it would've been better if he just said "I'm sorry"
Did you also think it was cringey when Liz returned to her abusive husband at WM7?
@@troywright359 no because the back story and their history gave it meaning. There were neither of these things with Flair and Michaels.

I like that you include insights on the back stories and other times they faced each other. Hogan vs Macho was a great storyline that kept going.
Undertaker vs Kane at mania 20 was so surreal, the American Badass had grown on me but I wanted the old taker back. Seeing those promos and vignettes had me supercharged for mania 20. Since I didn’t actually see the ppv until i got it on DVD, I had to wait until that Thursday to see taker on Smackdown when he chokeslammed Paul Heyman
Great list my dude
I like the video idea of picking a favorite match from each WrestleMania. Some WrestleMania's it's hard to pick just one like WrestleMania 10 with the Owen vs Brett and the Michaels vs Razor matches on the card.
My favorite WM matches ever are Savage vs. Warrior at 7, Bret vs. Owen at 10, and Bret vs. Austin at 13. I quit watching in 2006 or 2007 so I'm not up to date.
Bro..I love the channel. Really bring out my nerdy side and a huge pro wrestling fanatic..but when you said, “Find a reason to go back to N.O.” I totally 10000% agree with you. I love that city and would love to go back
I remember as a kid I would watch archive manias and never really paying attention super well until Angle Michaels and I realized what wrestling could be
The 60 minute iron man match was amazing. I was young when I saw it and was on the edge of my seat watching it with my friends and dad.
from wm 20 to 39 i agree to your picks bec i had watched it and i started in mid 2003 as a full time wwe fan
you got a good taste and picks of matches bro kudos to you
My favorite wrestlemania match was probably Austin vs Micheals at wrestlemania 14. I was a long time WCW fan and this one kind of got me into watching WWF.
Crazily this year looks like it will be fun. I have not watched a wrestlemania or a full wrestling show in over 20 years and I am actually thinking of watching this one.
Omg im soooooo happy you mentioned hardy boys at WM33! I was there and the pop was something else! I wont ever forget that.
As someone who attended wrestlemania 19 in Seattle, my hometown I agree with you watching a match live and on TV is very different when you’re at the event live you can’t hear the commentary. All you hear is the crowd and when you watch it on TV you get match commentary which is very important and it just feels totally different when I seen the wrestlemania 19 matches on TV they felt more different than live
I agree with almost everything on this list! No reason for Hart v HBK Iron Man to be polarising, it's just that new fans who look back at the match rather than watching at in that time like to act like they're cooler than the rest.
I tend to agree with 92% of your picks brother bios. Another great video. Enjoy the best weekend of the year.
Growing up in the Golden era and being a lifelong WWE fan nothing can ever top WM6 The Ultimate Challenge. Hulk vs Warrior was and will always be a larger than life moment in time
Austin vs Owens was amazing.
40 is only the second Mania that I've ever gotten to see as it happens. I remember living with my older brother, and he got me Mania 19. I was blown away by it. He wasn't a fan, but he watched it with me, and we both lost our minds when Brock landed on his head.
My first wrestlemania ever was 13 in 97 I was 10 years old. I definitely went back to watch all the old wwf PPV to learn the history
This has been one of my favorite videos bro! I could feel the hype watching this.
It’s WrestleMania weekend people!!!
I was at Mania 3 and that Savage / Steamboat match is my favorite match I've ever seen in person.
What a great list brother
TLC II from WM17 is what got me hooked on wrestling as a kid.
I miss the incorrect title.
He fixed the fix
TLC 2 at 17 is my favorite match of all time. It was ridiculous but I was 15 & it was amazing. Makes me feel like a teenager every time I see it.
My man!! FINALLY someone who agrees with me!! Mania 19 was the absolute best mania. I am very biased because I was lucky enough to watch it from the 3rd row. Every match was awesome with a few classics in there as well. Good choice with Shawn vs Jericho. That match had me leaping out of my seat a lot! But so did Hogan Vince, Lesnar Angle and Rock Austin Amazing night!
So glad that Hogan vs Andre wasn't the WrestleMania 3 pick. I remember it actually being one of the worst matches on that card when I watched it for the first time. Sure it has the very photogenic spot of Hulk slamming Andre, don't get me wrong. But man that extended Bear Hug bit just KILLED the match for me. I know realistically that Bear Hug only went on for like, 2 minutes. But when I first watched it, it felt like it went on for 15 minutes. Sapping all energy and enthusiasm out of the match.
But no one ever really mentions that bit in that match or just brushes over it with like "And Andre got a bear hug on Hogan moving on" over just how drawn out it was with the checks to see if Hogan had passed out and all.
Thanks for the Shawn Michaels and Kurt angle maina 21 match.... I remember watching that and the power went out at my house..lasted a few hours until the john Cena match
Very good picks and forgot u were taking a break from reliving the war in April
Dammit i forgot no RTW today 😢 but this is just as great
Coming from WrestleMania 40 myself, my personal favorite match was L.A. Knight vs. A.J. Styles, not because it was some great story, but their in ring work was just so good to watch. Cody vs. Roman was something else though, it felt like a family reunion all weekend, only your family was 145,000 deep and loved wrestling.
I was in the crowd for Cody’s return. I didn’t think he’d actually comeback but my shock when not only was he back but he had his gimmick. He was the American Nightmare he had Kingdom blasting. I was on my feet for that match. I attended manias 32 and 38 and nothing will ever top Cody vs Seth. Except maybe mania 40
Wrestlmania 23 was the first mania i watched when i was 10, ive always loved the undertaker and batista match/fued that lead into undertaker and edge and that was great. Anyway i feel asleep during the entrances for the main event so at least for me personally im glad it happened earlier
If you ddo this format for like Summerslam, Survivor Series or what have you (Halloween Havoc maybe), could you call out, when you pick matches besides teh main event, if you think the main event underdelivered on its own hype or if the suggested match just over performed? Cause I'm curious if there's a trend about mid card matches getting flowers as things enter the early 2000's and on, if that's endemic of the main event being the wrong choice or "mid card" matches just being two folks going "f it, lets make everyone else look like dog puke"
Great video
I wish that u would of added the years at least for the first wrestlemania we could keep track after that. But great video.
Finally! Been waiting for a video like this forever ❤
My favorite WM match of all time is Edge vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania 24. They had such great chemistry and it felt like Edge was gonna break the Streak from the way they built up the feud with Edge never losing to the Deadman at that point. I wish JR could have called that match since he's the GOAT of commentary.
Great recap so thank you very much. Do you think it’s possible to treat WM40 like an episode of RTW? Comparing the nights as if they were simultaneous and deciding which one was better? Will be tough given that you’re there but maybe it’ll work? Enjoy the pageantry!
Picking a good match from WM 9 is tough do you go with the epic doink vs crush barn burner or the all time 5 star classic between undertaker and giant Gonzalez or maybe hulks well earned title victory over yokozuna?
Speaking as someone who was there at wrestlemania 25, undertaker vs Shawn Michaels was the hands down BEST match of the night. Right behind it was the MITB ladder match and Cena vs Big Show vs Edge match (just to see cena holding up both edge and big show). What a night to be there…
XIX is a really tough Wrestlemania to pick only one match... I always liked the Angle Vs Lesnar match (or maybe just Tazz screaming "OMG he landed on his head!!!") but HBK, Austin and HHH were my favorite wrestlers growing up.
Savage was the Mr. WrestleMania for the Golden era and HBK took it to the next level. Would have loved to have seen those two face at 9.
Geeze Flair retired at 23 and wrestled all the way up till like what 2 years ago? So what another 16 years?!?! Damn that man loved wrestling!
That, and he was broke
@@ikill4klondikebars yeah I didn't wanna say that part lol but yeah guy was broke !
I agree with most of your picks. For Wrestlemania 10, I'd have to go with the greatest opener in Mania history: Bret VS Owen. Wrestlemania 20, I'd have to go with Eddie Guerrero VS Kurt Angle over Undertaker VS Kane.
Might be odd to say, but I appreciate the humility you have about your opinions
I attended Wrestlemania 23 at Ford Field with my dad and uncle. I actually agree with your choice of Undertaker vs Batista. I absolutely respect Undertaker but very rarely ever cared about his matches, even as a kid in the 90’s watching. But they went out and there and killed it. I hated John Cena so I wanted Shawn to win, we immediately bolted when he tapped out lol. Also, big shout out to the Money In The Bank Ladder match that year, it was beautiful chaos
I think the iron man match is underrated as well. The one thing that could have made it better is if there was at least 1 fall in the 60 minutes, but it's a nitpick. I believe, despite 2 nights, but with the overall main events, WrestleMania 31 was the last time people went home happy. Mania 36 doesn't count. 2020, nothing counts.
I have 2 say, almost every match at WrestleMania 32 should have turned out the opposite. I guess my go to is alwas Savage and Steamboat. Great video, Bios.
This is cool are you gonna do top 5 or 10 dark matches?
I love the Rick Steiner's son Bron Breakker just recreated that off the shoulders Power Slam spot. It's clear that the Steiners were ahead of their time.
6:57 bro I’m tripping out I thought the security guy standing in the upper center part of the screen was actually part of a fan-made sign someone made of the Marionette character from Five Nights At Freddie’s lmao
Oooh I was thrown off a bit there with the fix but.. Gotcha now 👍😏👍
there's always that one match that steals the show at every wrestlemania
Pretty much spot on with all these choices. I like the WM 2000 2 out of 3 falls, but I prefer the triple threat ladder match, likewise I prefer Rock vs Austin at 17. And...sigh...I know I'm in the minority but I'm not really a fan of Belair. Impressive sure and I respect but her matches never excited me. I liked Cesaro vs Rollins but, thats just me.
Taker vs Diesel deserves the nod at Wrestlemania 12. Probably the best big man vs big man match in Mania history.
Great review! Randy Savage ❤
Awite aweady, got me a fix pack
I'd put a few more women's matches on my personal list - Charlotte Vs Asuka at WM34 and Charlotte Vs Rhea at WM39 were both the match-of-the-night for me.
SM 40 just finished and it's safe to say the main event was the match of the card! Pure cinema!
The fact that the late streak matches were so damn good is a testament to how good Taker was and how much the streak meant.
WM 40 main event is the best build up ive ever seen.
Im so hyped.
WrestleMania 36 has to be the Firefly Fun House Match
That much sucks
As far as I'm concerned you will always be welcomed here in New Orleans. I love your chanel.
Dude ain't bullshittin I was in New Orleans for that WrestleMania and it was insane every bar afterwards all you heard was yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
Taker vs Kane at Mania 20 is the earliest memory I have of any Wrestlemania show. I always loved Taker but that match turned 6 year old me into a full-on fanboy.
Have fun at mania bios man

With Gunther in WM40, yeah we're getting a must watch.
Piper vs. Bret was great, but I'm surprised you didn't give Flair/Savage an honorable mention.
15:08 that is surprising. I thought his Wrestlemania 14 entrance was better. But I thought for sure you would go with Eddie Guerrero vs Kurt Angle
This video really reminds me of just how few good matches there have been on wrestlemania. In fact, I'd go so far as to say there has never been a truly great match on a wm card other than Savage vs Steamboat, which isn't all that great compared to Steamboat's matches with Flair.
Some absolute classics in there 😎
Head cheese should have gone over
Maybe if Leatherface was in WWF. Movie Leatherface.
It's hard for me to like Money in the Bank related moments in the WWE.
Because.... I think outside of when RVD challenged John Cena for it, every Money in the Bank match had been basically the 24/7 Hardcore Belt rule.
It diminishes the Championship because how it's used most often, a guy throws a briefcase on someone already hurt and unconscious and gets a quick easy 3 count. And thus means the champion isn't really a champion either. Like they didn't EARN the belt they just got handed it. It makes the person holding the belt less interesting. Particularly with Seth Rawlins's run. Because... I mostly remember him as being a huge chickenshit heel at the time who was unable and unwilling to fight any match that wasn't basically 5 on one with tons of interference on his side. And seemed actually terrified with the idea of defending his belt in what might be a fair match.
Granted, Chickenshit Heels have a place in Pro Wrestling, of course.
But every time I see Money in the Bank it's on the same level as like "The Fingerpoke of Doom" or when Lex won the Championship from Hollywood Hogan, big celebration of cleaning the NWO paint off it, etc, and then near instantly lost the belt to Hogan next week, or David Arquette winning the Championship over being flopped on top of an unconscious guy. It's all in the same vein for me.
Diminishes the prestige of things. The Champion isn't the best in the company, just someone who flopped on an unconscious guy. And beating that champion didn't mean much because well... they weren't really "The best in the company" but "Opportunist who got lucky". So what did beating them mean really? Just one of those nagging little thoughts in the bakc of my mind anytime the Money in the Bank cash in gets used, and for the champion after it, and the lineage of the championship in general.
