WCW Blunder returns! Season 2, known as Super Blunder 2 Turbo, begins with a look at Ric Flair's time as WCW President in 1999.
When Ric Flair returned to WCW in 1998 fans were very excited. Many believed Flair would never be seen on WCW TV again after being fired by Eric Bischoff but The Nature Boy came back to reunite the Four Horsemen and Ric became a top fan favourite in WCW once again. He began an on-screen rivalry with Eric Bischoff that culminated in Ric becoming President of WCW, and over time the storyline got more and more ridiculous as WCW didn't have any idea where it should go.
From the introduction to David Flair to Ric spending time in a hospital for the mentally unwell, from Ric making alliances with the nWo to having one of the most convoluted First Blood matches in pro-wrestling history, this isn't just one WCW Blunder, its a whole series of Blunders. - Sport
Everyone shut up Blunder is back!
😂
DONT TELL ME TO SHUT UP OR I’LL OPEN A CAN OF WOOOOOOOOHP ASS ON YA!

David turning on his family for Torrie is 100% believable
Im sliding on my family just for the shot at Torrie
I love how they're called "brass knucks that don't look like brass knucks but we'll call them brass knucks anyway" every time
We have to
Whenever someone used an unamed gimmick, it was always just a big tampon 😆
Classic RTW lore lol
Another blunder was how Bishoff went from "cool young face" to grey haired dad that tucked his polo shirt in his dad pants
He appears to age 20 years over the course of this episode. 😆
that's not blunder, that's aging tho
David Flair looks like he's always exhausted, it's like the simple act of walking from point A to point B is the equivalent of a marathon.
Just CRUMBLING to the mat BUT his knees DON'T buckle.....😂
Always looks flushed
My favorite part of the nWo limousine kidnapping was when Hulk has the ski mask on like you couldn't tell it was him, that made me pop lmao
This channel has become one of my absolute favorites over the last year. It's the one thing that's got me back into wrestling.
Honestly I prefer Wrestling Bios vids to modern wrestling shows
OSW Review is what brought me back and in turn, got me here. Great stuff.
Dude same. I quit watching in 2004/2005.
Found wrestling bios channel and binged a ton of his videos for a few weeks, Then I heard Sting was coming back in AEW.. watched his debut episode of dynamite and since then, rarely do I miss an episode.
Lately with wwe actually being good, I’ve been watching the ppvs.
I was a WCW kid, and AEW is most definitely their spiritual successor.
I do wish Tony & Eric could have played nice and had Eric could be on AEW tv every now and then.
Eric is a great tv character, producer not so much 😅
@@smac919that boat sailed and Eric won’t go back
6:30 Flair throws his shoe at 93 mph at the crowd. 😃
I’ve loved this clip since 1998.
Threw that bih like randy johnson
Best part was when he was dropping elbows on nobody.
@@CoinSlotKitty Hmmm….. that’s the second best part. 😃
Chin up, t*ts out, and watch for the shooooooooooooe
Jim Herd's time running WCW should be a future blunder episode.
The Ding Dongs!
No top rope moves when one of your divisions is totally based on High Flyers! 🤦🏻♂️
Per Wikipedia:
For example, he (Herd) once tried to come up with a tag team called The Hunchbacks (with the gimmick in which they could not be pinned because their humps would prevent their shoulders from touching the mats
@@jackcarraway4707 LOL but also 🤦🏻♂️
@@Ragan31687 That was Bill Watt's idea (in addition to removing the mats from ringside, eliminating backstage catering and banning families from visiting backstage).
It started so well with the "You can't fire me, IM ALREADY FIRED!!" promo and then....
I am thrilled, there were so many blunders left to be addressed. Jim Crockett Promotions became WCW in late 1988, WCW went under in March 2001, that's over 12 years, plenty of time for plenty of Blunders.
Black Scorpion angle is first thought here personally.
Yeah it was really one F* up after another with WCW. I'm surprised they didn't fold sooner.
The amount in each video and how often he uploads should be praised. Also him forcing himself to watch David Flair should also be praised lol.
TOPIC IDEA: The amount of times Sting got betrayed by his "friends"/Attacked backstage
That might need more time than Reliving the War
And how many involved Kevin Nash?
11:34
In all fairness, it is Torrie Wilson.
Me 5 seconds ago: I should turn off CZcams and do some focus work to end my day
Me now: (pours glass of wine) Well, there's always tomorrow
This story, and not the finger poke of doom, was the moment started turning the channel. The April 26 episode where Flair was committed was the beginning of the end.
Agree. I started changing channels after the finger poke of doom.
The Poke didn't kill WCW. They did fine in the ratings in the short run. People were making the switch at around summer that year. By then Nitro was pulling in low 3s whereas Raw was double that. You can tell how cheap and low quality WCW became too.
I like that the WCW Blunder font looks like the Street Fighter 2 one.
I think That was the point lol.. but yes very well done 😂
This absolutely has to be my favorite series you have, happy to see it back!
This is one of my fav series you’ve ever done. It allows your comedic timing to come thru
I remember this whole thing and it was classic to me for a lot of reasons. I used to watch and record Nitro amd Thunder week because of school and work. I had a Bowling Class in college at this time and the professor looked like Ric Flair. So me and some of the other dudes in the University Center would "whoooo" and "style and profile" everytime he would come in there. One day asked us why would we "make that noise everytime he would show us" we told him to turn it on Monday Night Nitro at 7pm on Monday. He had never watched wreatling in his life so the episode ge watched was the episode that Flair took all his clothes off and elbow dropped the middle of the ring. So on Tuesday he cussed us all out and told us "he was nothing like that" as we fell on the ground laughing. Classic memories.
There are very few channels i watch this religiously i literally watch every single video the minute it goes up keep up the good work and may steve blackman look over you
6:48 flair should have started twirling the almighty HELICOPTER 😂😂
Seeing Reed Flair agian brought back great memories in This Era. Dam Reed Flair was great amateur wrestler when he was kid .
A Shockmaster WCW Blunder would be much appreciated.
Kinda wish @Wrestling Bios would’ve went with “WCW: Blunder 2 - Blunder in Paradise”.
Anyways. Fantastic show lad
Honestly, Reed would have been a more convincing US champion than David.
A traffic cone would have been a more convincing US champion.
@@jackcarraway4707 Pancho Villa would more be convincing US Champion he’s just can’t defend in Texas
He’s better than half the AEW roster
@@djdarq6311 Pancho Villa or Reed
Super Blunder 2 Turbo is a badass name
Two blunders you could look at: a) Berlyn and b) the WCW Nitro Trading Card Game (it was the Backstage Assault of card games)
I almost didn't look at this video because I was like "WCW Blunder is done, this is a repeat".
I'm happy to see it again.
I'm going to assume David Flair will have his own blunder episode
Can't wait RTW episodes with him and Daffney
Accidentally rewound the video and got the phrase
“Ric says he would never respect a company president who wore sneakers and jeans to work. Because Flair would become everything he said Bischoff was and more.”
Ric wearing those Jordan’s and jorts to work fellas.
“Casual Friday, WOOOOOOO!”
Can anyone remember they kind of went back to this in late 2000/early 2001. He was WCW's new CEO (''The Boss''). Leader of the Magnificent Seven, it was dropped on the final Nitro in March 2001.
Should of thrown in Flair's drunken rant at the bar, that would of made this 25 minute Flair video... perfect!
Ric flair hates Egypt
Well actually if he's the president of WCW for life, that would explain how he was acting in that restaurant. You don't treat the president that way.
This is currently the only channel i only really watch as well as listening to the podcasts on every car journey
Have we done a blunder episode on the hardcore division near the end of wcw, it was something 🤣
My favorite was when Flair would start stylin and profiling so hard he would start dropping elbows on the ring, just cause it was there. I was at the one live where he got to his boxers and handcuffed himself to the ropes. It was my first time ever attending a wrestling show. That fight with Ming and David is still, one of the funniest matches ive ever seen.
When I went back and rewatched all of the Nitros, Thunders and ppvs…when Flair became “president” that’s the exact moment I said to myself yup…this is where it went off the rails.
This channel is fantastic, I have to say, the piecing together of all this weekly footage and such is brilliantly presented. Been watching around a year and never gets boring and fun to relive an era of wrestling I loved as a young boy.
Great idea including a blunder counter for a future episode please do the four Horsemen they run from 1996 to 1999 would be great. I think you could even do an episode counting the four horsemen run in 1997 could be an episode by itself. As always great content.
Super Blunder 2, now that sounds promising! Just don't burn yourself out, please!
I hope That 70's Guy Mike Awesome gets talked about cause what a blunder that was!
Thank you! I've been wanting a video on this topic for a long time, and glad to see that you not only made it, but it's part of Blunders season 2 (it's back!)!
The amount of disrespect a legend like Flair had to endure at the hands of incompetent fools like Bischoff is simply disgusting, such a mismanaged company regurgitating the worst possible ideas could only go under.
And this continues to this day at pizza establishments and bars Ric Flair visits like the legend that he is
@@BigBadJerryRogers Ha ha ha, touché.

Yes!!!! Season one of WCW blunders was one of my favorite to watch! And on the day I'm home from work with a tooth infection hopped up on pain pills can't get much better than that brother!
Shawn Michaels, is that you? You know those pills are not good for you. I hope you can get your smile back. Again.
"Slamboree was terrible but Gorgeous George and Charles Robinson stole the show"
Raven, Saturn, Kidman, Mysterio, Malenko and Anderson are all crying right now.
I'm sure Raven and Saturn aren't crying. Unicorn slip n slide.

It's a pleasant surprise that you're bringing this series back, but a welcome one. Love your stuff man! 😎
Im so happy to see the series return! This is up there as some of my absolute favorite only behind Reliving The War itself. Thank yoy Bios :)
4:38 Sadly, this would not be the first time Ric Flair would fake a heart attack in the ring.
Ric offering a free easy meal of his son, David to Meng in a match was kinda hilarious.
Men of old school wrestling culture. We assemble again. By our powers combined, we can MAKE WRESTLING GREAT AGAIN
I think this is fantastic you revitalized this. I don't have a particular preference what I want to see. I think it's all gonna be great.
Legit my favorite series on Wrestling Bios.
so roddy piper was commissioner and flair was the president.
who was in charge? who had ultimate authority.
Yes.
Thank you for making this video. I watched it at the time and thought I was going crazy. Every week it seemed someone new was a heel or babyface. In the end no one knew who to boo or cheer it was so convoluted. Your video helped to put it somewhat into a logical (as possible) explanation lol great work
Thanks for bringing it back one of my favs
Looking back at RTW, the 'authority' situation in WCW was a shambles. They were like six different people making matches. How did WCW let it go so badly after being on top for so long ?
Most people would do the lazy part 2: electric boogaloo bit but you went SF2 turbo like a man of class and culture. Fine work.
Your commentary makes these videos worthwhile.
As a Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo (Super Turbo) fan, I must say that the graphics are awesome!!!
Glad you posted this video. Gave me a reason why i switched to wwf months earlier when i was watching
Oh man my Tuesday just got way better
So many blunders within this company. What sux is most blunders in WCW are usually talked about. The only ones I can think of are the many pole matches that Russo made, the bret hart storyline where he gets beaten up by nwo 2000, just for him to still be in the group, heal Goldberg, tank Abbott joining Shane helms boy band, and Chris candido constantly berating Ms. Hancock (Stacy keibler)
WCW blunder is an awesome series great stuff as always.
That time WCW turned Goldberg heel was quite the blunder. Actually, that entire Millionaires Club vs New Blood was quite the blunder.
David Flair walked so Yoshihiko could run.
Wasn't even ready for this! Taking an early break!
Blunder Season 2? Works for me Brother!
I absolutely LOVE this Channel and all the hard work and research that goes into these videos.
Ok that said, you could literally write a Novel based on all the times WCW advertised a Match and never delivered it , or if it was delivered it was a miserable excuse for a Match that did nothing but leave Fans disappointed and mad., and this includes PPV's that Fans had to pay extra money for , only to get shat on . I just dont know what the F they were thinking, especially in the later years .
Blunder is how I found the channel in the 1st place. I love this.
yay thanks for more WCW Blunder! My favorite of your serieses
When he took over the role it was solid gold for a few weeks
Whoa! David Flair had a match with jam up guy El Dandy? How did I miss this gem? I'm gonna have to go check that one out.
I've been waiting for this series to return
Thanks for doing this as I always enjoyed season 1
Also, while WCW was running Ric Flair vs Hulk Hogan as their main event program in goddamn 1999, the other channel was building up towards Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Rock to main event Wrestlemania. Thats why only one of the 2 biggest wrestling companies in the world still existed 2 years later.
I always remember watching flair heart attack and thinking it was real it stuck in my head all these years to the point I thought maybe I'd imagined it lol..... I've no issues with it by the way anything goes in wrestling
Yeah,I’m glad this series is back! Love the Super Street Fighter II like logo.
Great to see it return, thanks buddy!

As long as your making content we will all always be here brother
14:06....looks like Hogan colored half a black and white nwo bandana with a marker before he came out 😂😂
„Weeks and weeks of storyline pissed (😂) down the toilet“ - I am literally dying. Thanks Ryan
I so want to know the behind the scenes thinking for pushing David Flair so hard
😊 I can guess
Just look how WWE is pushing his little hot sister
Thank you for making my horrible day better your the 🐐
great vid man!
The best thing to come out of this whole story is that over 20 years later, I'm still calling Charles Robinson "L'il Naitch".
Oh man, I love this series. Great to see it back.
Awesome to have new episodes of Blunder! 🎉
Torrie..my word what a natural beauty!!
She still looks incredible too 👏🏻 🔥
Welcome back WCW Blunder
The season premiere I’ve been waiting for!!!
Wooooo love the president ric gimmick 😭😂🔥💯
It's crazy how far WCW fell
So happy to see this series back!
Yay for more Blunder episodes! I kind of miss the old format though.
I remember being a little kid watching this stuff play out.
Ric flair striping down and cuffing himself to the ropes gets more than a pass for me , it gets applause 👏!!! Lol
Seeing david flopping arround is always good for the mood.
WWE's nWo would be a nice and short blunder episode.
