Nice job , excellent video
Does the Kenmore 110.85015100 have a Thermal Fuse??? If so can you tell me the location please?
Help...my 900 Series Kenmore dryer 's timer knob is locked! What do I do?
@@yadirezaee2275 please play the video
Good morning can you recommend which part I would try and test if the dryer runs for hours and never gets hot. Do you have any videos on how to test that part
46 year old single mom of 4 and you helped me fix my dryer! Godsend with a $5 fix. Thank you! I did it myself 😊
This is so awesome to hear! I am so grateful this video was helpful! My mom was also a single mom and one memory I have of her is when we were younger she had our refrigerator out in the middle of the kitchen and she was fixing it so it means a lot to me that I was able to help you repair this for your family! Having your kids see you do this work yourself will mean a lot to them as well! Way to go!
video posted 5 years ago and still a hero!!!! thanks for the updated link, Cheers!!!
You're so welcome! So glad this was helpful for you!
I liked the way he got straight to the point, no extra FLUFF or BS! Yay 😃
Exactly!!!
And no stupid background music !!!
Thank You!!! Called a repair guy, he said 80 bux just to come look at it. Watched this video and lo and behold... Fixed it myself for 8 bux! Thank you! :)
Way to go! That's excellent!!
So you don’t want to pay to keep professionals in business?
@@diehardfan173, save money, like most people want to.
Appliance repair guys are a rip off
@@diehardfan173 These "professionals" will charge you $150 for a $15 part and then charge hourly rates that would make you think they are lawyers or doctors. These videos keep them honest.
Thanks to your video, I opened up my dryer and saw that someone already had the bright idea of bypassing the thermal fuse for regular use. So thanks for helping me find the secret electrical hazard in the house!
Glad I could help!
Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU! My 25 year old dryer just quit and I thought I just had to bite the bullet and get a new one. I watched this video and decided to try a new thermal fuse and IT WORKED!🎉🎉
Fantastic tutorial
Thank you for the accurate and thorough information
Got my dryer running in minutes 🙂
You’re the MAN! 4 years later, this video still helping people like me. Thermal switch was bad on my drier, bought a 3 pack from the Amazon link. Thank you much!
Fantastic! I am so glad this was helpful!!
Thank you so much for this video. The part you linked was only 5$ and it fixed my dryer completely. I really appreciate it. You saved me so much money that I would have spent on a repair man! I can’t thank you enough.
Congrats!! So glad this was helpful! If you can share my page on social media that would be great! Maybe some of my videos will help others aswell!
Thank you very much for this video! I just fixed my dryer, and it only cost me $1.61 and less than 10 minutes to repair! (That part was way cheaper than the $9 you originally said.) I recently had it serviced, at over $300 for a new belt and motor issues, then it just stopped a few weeks later. Yes, the belt and motor were the issue then, but I guess this time it was that thermal fuse. Now, I am not a "handyman" by any means, but you made this fix seem really easy to attempt, which it was. Thank you for that! I realize that this video is over a year old, but as you can see, it is still usable. Again, many thanks!
Thank You so very much ! My Kenmore dryer is 26 years old, and I don't want to buy another, since they don't make them like they use to. Your instructions were so clear & easy to follow, I can't believe I fixed it by changing the thermal fuse. Thanks again for the terrific video !
I agree with J Hawkins. You got right to the point. My issue was the door switch. I didn't even know I had one. I figured there must be one but could never see it. Thanks for going over these 3 items so quickly and thoroughly.
Thank you so much for doing these videos! I truly appreciate the lessons and the links. I like being able to fix my own stuff with help from you and many other handyman youtubers
Your so welcome! I am glad this video was helpful!!
I can only add my thanks to what everyone else has said. So helpful! Easy to follow. My wife literally screamed when it turned on. 20 years strong and no freaking motherboard. They don’t make em like this anymore.
Was your issue the Thermal Fuse ?
You did an excellent professional job explaining to the audience how to fix a dryer of like-kind. Thank you!
Thanks Nathan! I appreciate it
It was the thermal switch just like you said. Got it off Amazon for $4.39. Easy to install and it gave me an excuse to dryvac all the dust behind the dryer. Thank you for this video!
Thank so much! I was able to fix my dryer by myself ! I love you, I had 2 people tell me to just buy a new dryer....you rock!
Thanks for the tip. Troubleshoot my dryer issue with the thermal fuse and saved a hundred. Much appreciated!
Thanks… You saved me a bunch of money because I was able to use this video to replace the door “thingy.” Instead of paying for a service call and an up charge on the part - I paid less than $20 for two parts. The little “thingy” in the back was replaced but did not fix the issue. I don’t have an ohms meter - so I just replaced in order. You ROCK!😅
Great work! I am so glad this video was helpful for you!💪
Thank you so much! This is exactly what was wrong with my dryer and I really appreciate you showing how to use the multimeter. 😊
Another happy viewer! Ordered the thermal fuse on Friday, it arrived Monday and I'm back in business! Thank you!
This video saved me so much in terms of troubleshooting and paying an electrician. It was the thermal fuse, I learned about continuity and Kenmore is up and running again! Thanks!!!
I can't thank you enough for for this video. Our dryer died on Sunday night. OMG. Insert freak out here. My husband works fifty billion hours a week. We have three kids. Four dogs. And a working hobby farm. I was hanging out clothes on the clothesline in 30 degree weather. 😑 There was much PG cursing... Then I found your vid... I followed your directions and was actually able to fix our dryer all by myself (thermal fuse replacement). I can do lots of things but appliance repair is def not on that list and I can't tell you how long it would've taken the hubster to get to it. You have saved the day. 🙏🙏
So awesome this helped!!
THANK YOU!! Changed the fuse and the dryer is working again! Anyone watching this - it was honestly really easy
So appreciative for your step by step instructions. Super Helpful--saved me alot of money by fixing it myself
You were right on about what was wrong with my old Kenmore dryer - the thermal fuse had blown, replacing it cost me all of $12 at a local appliance parts store and just an hour of my time, which was important because it stopped working the day before several generations of my family were showing up for Mother's Day, with some staying over which meant lots more laundry than usual. Carry on [fill in the blank]! still my favorite British comedy series that began just about the time that these washers and dryers were first being made for Sears-Roebuck.
Hey I. So glad this video was helpful! Have a great time with family!!
Thank you so much for this video!!! I just fixed my own dryer by replacing the thermal fuse and now it works even better than before!
Yay! Great work! I. So glad this helped!
Awesome video, straight to the point and fixed my problem. Thank you!
Watched your video, ordered the part linked in your description. And it WORKED!!!!! Thank you for this. Was able to fix my dryer myself thanks to you. Very pleased 😊😀
Great work! I am so glad this video was helpful!!
Awesome! Clear instructions, identified my issue (door sensor, which had been half failing for a year now), and now after $16 (the local appliance part store was open on a Sunday afternoon, I'm willing to pay the markup to have it today). Now I have a dryer that works even better than before!
This video was a God send. I can't thank you enough for making this video and sharing the links for the parts. I ordered all three and mine turned out to be the door switch was broken. THANK YOU!!!
Thank the Lord!
Excellent you are the man! Thank you for saving me an expensive service call. I bought the thermal fuse without even checking it, and sure enough, that was the issue!
Great video. My wife and I were able to get it working with the $7 door switch replacement. Thank you!
This video is great. Just fixed my dryer by replacing thermal fuse.Went through all steps, appreciate the great explanations.
I am so glad this video is helpful for you!
Fixed my dryer for about $2 with the help of this video!!! Thanks!!
Thank you so much. Fixed thermal fuse for 5.65. I am so happy!!
Thank you so much! We panicked when our Kenmore dryer stopped working but your video helped us diagnose the thermal fuse and your link to Amazon meant we ordered one very easily. Thank you again!
Your so welcome! I am glad this was helpful!!
Thank you! That was helpful and we diagnosed the problem easily. Thank you for being so informative about appliances.
Great video concise and to the point. Really appreciate that when trying to solve a problem! Thanks
Thank you for the tutorial! I followed the steps, tested everything, ordered a dryer thermal fuse from your Amazon link, replaced it, and my dryer now works. Thank you very much for clear directions and video!
I am so glad this video was helpful for you! Your so welcome!
Thank You so much for this informative video, I fixed my dry in no time and for all of $4.96 total via Amazon. I felt so accomplished to complete the job myself and instead of buying a new dry(as I normally would) I decided to fix my own problem and I did just that! Thank You once again!!! 😊
Congratulations! I am so glad this video was helpful for you!
Thank you for posting this, worked for me!!! I skipped the multimeter, just unplugged and changed out the thermal fuse!!!!
Fantastic! I am glad this video was helpful for you!💪
Thank you! I replaced my thermal fuse and door switch and now it works again! You saved me a ton of money!

Awesome, so simple a fix, great video. No wasted time, right to the fix. Thank you!
This guy knows his stuff!!
Thank you!!! I really appreciate the info on how to use the multi meter.
Thank you.
Your welcome!
Dude, you're fantastic! Thanks for the help! I never mind paying professionals to fix things. I'm busy with my own projects. But, when you can't get ahold of anyone, either I have to do it myself, or have my guys do it. The instructional simple steps are incredibly helpful. Thanks so much!!
Your so welcome! I am glad I could be helpful!
Thank you for this video! I was able to troubleshoot and change the thermal fuse. The machine came back to life! So much better to change the fuse than scrap the whole machine 👍
You are so welcome, I'm so glad this video was helpful for you
One of the best DIY's that I have seen! thank you, thank you!
Thanks bro, videos like this are great resources, fixed my dryer just fine
Hey so awesome! So glad this helped!!
I know this isn't new but thanks so much! Fixed my grandmother's dryer which hasn't been working in a year!
This video was definitely a life saver. It was the thermal fuse. Ordered from. Amazon and got it the next day. Prior to seeing this video, a dryer technician me charged $85/hr to look it!!!. I went to you tube and video popped right up .... Thanks again
I am so glad this was helpful!!
Thanks to this video I fix my kenmore 80 series dryer!!!!
Fantastic! I am glad this was helpful!
Thank you for posting this. I was about to start a big disassembly effort when I decided to check the push button switch on your recommendation. The problem was just a loose connector on that switch.
Hey man first off, I thank you for taking the time to tell me the size of the screws. The two on the back cover were not 1/4 inch....but after rambling through me sockets but dude you inclusions of the links... Brilliant!
You pulled me out of the ditch! Your instruction was just what I needed. Liked and subscribed. 👍
Thank you so much!! A $6 part and the dryer is fixed! What a sweet sound…
Yea! Yea! Thanks so much. Spot on, replaced the thermal fuse and then the dryer worked.

Bro, you answered question that I had and didn't have. Thanks for being awesome!
So glad this was helpful!
You’re first of the three potential problems solved my issue. For $6.71 I will have my dryer up and running. You sir saved me $75.00 for a service call and made my wife very happy.
Awesome!!
By the way you did a great job running through this dryer and components 👏🏼👍🏻 thanks. Also subbed bro you are the man
Great video! Used my multimeter to determine that the thermal fuse was bad. Jumped it to make sure, (using all precautions, of course). I ordered one from your link. Thank you very much. This information is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for giving me the confidence to do it my shelf. Works great !
Thank you so much! Thermal fuse did the trick. I'm not too handy and your video made it easy. I also cleaned out the vent hose and it was packed with lint, which may have caused the fuse to blow in the first place(?) and now may have prevented a fire. So thanks again!
Way to go Dan! So glad this was helpful!!!
$7 and the dryer is back in business. Thanks for a great video!

Awesome, i had a thermal fuse already from a kit that i bought . Just unplugged the dryer switched it out and boom it worked. Thanks
Awesome work! Glad this video helped!
Thank you sir, you saved me a lot of time.
Yahoo !!!!!, thanks a lot for your instructions, I replaced the thermal fuse and It works.
Hey so glad this helped!!! Thanks for your comment!
Wish you would've elaborated the potential cause of the failed thermal fuse. In most of these issues the exhaust pipe/tubing probably had a partial blockage or may be too long. Unless the cause was fully rectified you'll need to replace the fuse again in another year or two.
Wish I'd seen this before I spent a bundle on a repair job fixing exactly what you described!
THAMK YOU SR. I followed your advice and fixed my dryer myself. It was the thermal fuse. My dryer was full of lint build up from years of use in a damp climate.
You are so welcome, I'm glad this video was helpful for you!
Thank you man!! This is exactly what was wrong with my Kenmore!!
Your welcome! I am so glad this was helpful!
Thanks! Fixed the problem and used your link. $7 repair instead of $300 repairman.
