Just a quick video showing how to fix a Kenmore 500 Series Gas Dryer that would not start. This ended up being caused by the thermal fuse that was bad. The dryer vent hose was pretty full of lint caused it to overheat and fail. It's important to keep the lint screen and housing clean and clear along with all of the dryer vents.
    You will need:
    a Multimeter set on Ohms
A Flat Putty Knife to release the clips on the dryer lid
a 1/4" nut driver and/or drill or other type of wrench to remove the back panel.
    Thanks for watching!

I have a real odd heating problem with my Kenmore when I have it on timed dry for 60 minutes. It's like it's in cool down mode until it gets to the end of the cycle and then gets really hot and won't stop on it's own. I've replaced the heating element, the thermostat, the cycling thermostat, the thermal fuse and the door switch. Nothing has changed! it's driving me crazy! Any help or tips on fixing the issue please?
