[WORLD OF KAISERREICH: PATAGONIAN WORKER'S FRONT]
The World of Kaiserreich is an animated video series explaining the lore of the Hearts of Iron mod Kaiserreich. In the alt-history timeline of Kaiserreich, a German victory in WW1 changes the world as we know it.
In this episode, we look at the separatist Patagonian Workers’ Front. This left-wing faction emerged from a general strike turned revolutionary, but only endures with the support of foreign powers like Chile. Since throwing off the rule of Buenos Aires, Patagonia has become a frontline of the Anarcho-Syndicalist experiment. The border state has grown into a safe haven for Socialists, Anarchists and Syndicalists alike. Despite her struggles, Patagonia does not intend to simply survive, but thrive and spread her new ideology throughout all of South America.
In the arid mountains south of the Rio Negro, a Spanish revolutionary rallies her regiment to take up arms against the Buenos Aires government. Together, the rebels aim to bring liberation to workers in the entire continent - and perhaps, the entire world…

Central and South America have great content but all of it still very much leaves you at the mercy of Uncle Sam. I remember winning the US civil war fairly early and saw that Honduras was on its last legs with Central America about to become syndicalist. All it took was me sending two 21 width infantry divisions to completely tip the scales in Honduras favor.

For non-spanish speakers this is irrelevant but the fact that the song says 'los moros no pasarán' totally destroys inmersion. 'Moros' means moors and it's a word we use in Spain to refer to people from Morrocco and Algeria and sometimes to arabs in general. In the OTL Spanish Civil War there were arab soldiers, generally known as 'moros', from spanish colonies fighting for the rebels. For that reason many spanish leftist songs from the war make reference to the moors as enemies. In the case of argentinian syndicalists resisting in the Río Negro against the government the words '¡No pasarán!' make total sense, but saying that the ones that are not going to pass are moors...
Maybe it was a reference to uniform colors? Like happened in Ireland with "Black and Tans"?
Bro, the Chilean left already sang the No Pasarán in the 1930s during the times of the Spanish Civil War. When the Winnipeg ship arrived to Valparaíso in 1939 with Spanish Republican refugees, there were many leftists receiving them with the musical repertoire of the II Spanish Republic.
Also, the reference to the moors was already known back then, because it was the way to talk about the Army of Africa leaded by Francisco Franco.

Just like other people said the character of a black woman speaking in a caribbean spanish accent using spanish civil war terms is not good representation of Argentina or Chile.
Still I'm looking forward to see what this rework has to offer.
I am from argentina, last year I went to el calafate, a beautifull city next to the perimeter of the glaciers field in the south of the patagonia, it is in the province of santa cruz, there I saw the amazing perito moreno and other giants glaciers, but, the thing is, that I learned about the episode of patagonia rebelde in those places, there is also a movie called like that, an amazing part of history of this country that I didnt know, thanks kaiserreich devs for puting so much love and content to this moment, amazing.
The video great as always,no doubt of that but the end of it with the song No Pasarán being a Spanish Civil War song kind of triggers me because of two reasons:
1-Is not an Latinoamerican song
2-The song talks about expelling the moors(Moroccan troops) from Madrid, which in his context made sense,there were one of the most elite kind of soldiers under Franco's sublevation but hearing it in a video about a socialist revolution in the Patagonia sure sounds just weird.
I understand No Pasaran is a very powerful and beautiful song,but I find it quite inappropriate here.

Ah just in time, got the notif as my tank divisions liberate Argentina, managed to exploit a breakthrough and literally drove behind their defensive forts, by then it was over, truly epic to drive through three provinces of desert and still have enough gas to run over the Argentinian and German troops in a big enriclement.

In my head canon of Kaiserreich Patagonia during the 50’s Japanese Syndicalist bring weapons food and advisors to Patagonia while in response the Argentine government ask both the Germans and Americans (marines) to intervene but the revolution will not die so easily

I hate when angloids thinks that all latinos are browns who wears sombreros and live in the desert. They could have show the gaucho culture and use Fanny Edelman, and instead they use a puerto rican (both in voice and portait) with some type of spain's anarquist uniforms ¿). For them it wold be eben more cheaper, historicly accurate and better visualy to hire an argentinian voice actor who could explained the basics of the culture to the creators. Well at least they are doing a video from latam XD.

The caribbean accent and the etnicity of the leading character doesn't fit the Platinean setting. Like as a latino you can't avoid seeing how out of place it is
Seeing this as a Chilean is so off-putting, it's like using a White man to represent the Native Congolese. This is definitely not how your average Argentinian looks, not even the average Argentinian Patagonian, this is literally a lightskin black American woman straight outta Compton.
I shiver just from the thought on how they plan on representing the average Chilean Patagonian, they'll probably place an Haitian there and see nothing wrong with it
Although I am not going to deny the poor representation, in reality the brown and Amerindian population is more noticeable the closer you get to the provinces of the Andes, that is, the west of Argentina, Although I think most people don't know it because they normally always see Buenos Aires and not the rest of the provinces like Jujuy or Catamarca.

When you're living in what is essentially a desert separated from the rest of the country by mountains and a major river, 50,000 is more than enough (Also, the Patagonian Insurrection was in 1920-22).

@@el_jolass, first of all, the Argentines didn't liberate Peru. That was Bolivar. Second off, that army you're talking about was by no means the same army that went up against the Patagonian Insurrection. At that time Argentina was in a bad spot, its economy was a wreck, it was dealing with a general strike in Buenos Aires, and the military was just not that great. Not to mention the fact that Chile was backing the Patagonians. So yeah, 50,000 people could've gone up against a weakened Argentina.

as an argentine I'm giving it a pass, there are a couple mistakes but everything else is spot on, tone of the actress is great, though they should have seeked an actual spanish native.
