I remember when my grandpa fought the Chilean troops in the rubble of Paris, thank you Paradox for acknowledging his fight
If they were fighting the Chilean Troops in Paris that means your grandpa was in the no no team then
He meant at the end of the war. The reclamation of Paris from the Axis.
@@superros9412 it says his grandpa fought the Chilean troops not with them
@@Nvirr sorry I can't read☠️
Based grandpa
A bit of history, in the late 1800 Chile started colonizing western Patagonia and Araucanía, then a frenchman Orelie Antoine claimed that if they made him king france would send aid, hearing this Chile ordered an imediate invasion, Antoine was arrested and tried as a madman, trough french mediation he was set free, he returned to Araucanía trying to become king again but Chile had enough of him and put out a bounty on his head, Orelie fled to France where his decendents still claim Araucanía
The decision is not bugged it's Pardox finally revealing their true opinion on the natural borders of France
Mon dieu
@@Bitt3rSteeloh yea as a french Antoine 3 is a good king Bahaha love ur vid from France 🇫🇷 and chili 🇨🇱 is a most underrated country in South America
@@Bitt3rSteelmon dieu je suis français et j’ai apprécié votre vidéo
OMG i am french and I appreciate your video
D’accord d’accord
Turning Chile into a French Kingdom. Now this is a path in the focus tree that is going to be fun.
"Wait...it's all France?"
"Always has been."
Forming France as Chile is Kaiserredux type shit and I love it
The reason why Chile has the Prussian hat as their division icon is because in 1880s to the 1900s Chilean soldiers were trained in Prussian tactics and weapons, plus with a large amount of German immigration during that time it made Chile very influenced by Prussia
It's even still seen today where the Chilean parades march like Prussian soldiers
Protect the war baby
You now have to play as War Baby one time.
Even if paradox wasn't going to allow you to core africa, you could still get algeria because it WAS considered mainland france from 1848 to 1962 and france gets cores on them in game.
Poor Chile, Chile can become France 😔
we are cursed to the core
Lucky Chile they can eat a good loaf of bread
@@burritolopr sorry mate... from a "fellow" Frenchman lol
Identity theft is real
Funny how this DLC got a lot of praises in CZcams and yet the actual DLC itself got a lot of negative receptions on Steam
Too much money for something very insignificant also trees feel like kaiserredux paths
Because it's just wacky content for CZcamsrs to make content. Sure, it's great to have new content, but it's overpriced and priority should be given to important areas like the Pacific theater, a Japan and china rework, more mechanics etc
Paradox gives youtubers the DLC early to generate some hype and boost sales. They also use youtubers as a semi-bugtester where youtubers can report bugs and Paradox says they'll be patched before release.
Issue with that though is that a extensive plethora of bugs still exist in the final product. This is a focus tree addon and adds no new features/content other than the focuses. Mods like RT56 and En Unión y Libertad do what Paradox attempts here but better with limited manpower and a significantly lower/non-existant budget and gives it to the players for free and not charge $15.
TLDR: Paradox is just EA but for strategy games.
@@tuxedo_cat_gaming you said it man, they don't even test their products before release and charge for content that should have either been in the base game or that modders already did 5times better and for free
@@maximilianodelrioAs incredible as it may seem, this DLC from the countries of South America, has more content than any mod, in addition to being much more fun than mods that focus on these countries, if you are a "more underground historian", you will notice the references , basically what paradox did here, was take a mod and leave it paid... the problem is that this dlc is much better than many mods...
6:40 fun fact that whole situation is in Victoria 3 as an event, the event pops up when playing as Chile or Argentina; obviously you can ignore the whole thing and continue colonizing Araucanía/Patagonia but you also have the choice to recognize Antoine as king and them becoming a centralized nation in exchange of them becoming your puppet
Chile mencionado 🗣🗣🗣 CHILE CAMPEON 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
The Paths of Chile are very rare, for example the Mapuche does not make much sense since Chile has always been a very anti-indigenous country, in fact the government even subsidized European immigrants during the 19th century to eliminate indigenous identity.
That's pretty much every colonial country. And screw realism, it's nice to let the First People's get in on the action for once.
As a puertomontinian (idk how to say that xD) see my country with the colours of my city, using the Ibáñez coup and invading Argentina was incredibly fun.
But it doesn't make sense. Mapuche path should be more like the anarchist path from spain and Ibañez had more decisions and events to the government representing the decrees in a military government
Yes it’s very silly. There’s silliness in the game like getting a bear on the throne of Poland. Thanks for the context!
The Indigenous route involves revolting against the government. It isn’t Chile but rather a revolution against it
@@kurohone Yes, but in Chile the majority is not indigenous, unlike Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, the countries of Central America, etc.
18:36 "WE GET CLAIMS ON QUEBEC?!"
I've never heard you so impressed/confused/shouty before...
Here I was hoping to hear the French anthem on a kazoo 😢.
I also forgot that a baby is the king of Rapa Nui. Finally a playthrough more glorious than New Zealand.
Man, I should have used the Kazoo!
Mapuche Chile was my first play in the DLC and holy hell is it actually powerful if you make the independent natives. Especially when you give them the Together We Stand national spirit. I legitimately had them cooperating with me through the conquest of Russia and Germany
the dude who approch the mapuches in the 19 century was my rear rear rear rear rear rear rear far grandpa, hes name was antoine de Tounens, crazy anecdote
This path feels like something straight out of Kaiserredux.
It's insane and I'm here for it
10:59 when you saw an cute/adorable moment or image.
Or 11:00
Thank you, Bittersteel for saving my child from the burning building in Paris back in 1986 on Rue de Liège. I am very thankful!
Our pleasure!
Son: Mom i want to rule Napoleonic France
Mom: don't worry we have it in home
Napoleonic France at home:
I find it hilarious that the path thats supposed to represent France is the path where you core the entire world EXCEPT for France!
It's very interesting how Paradox is starting to make the alternate history paths more crazy than realistic. It's obviously fun but it feels like they're taking notes from Kaiserredux and other wacky mods.
I'm still waiting for the devs to add ships to the international market. Great video
Actually, this has an historicall explanation and its not just because yes, in 1860 i think, a frenchman called Orelie Antonie de tounens came to the patagonia (which in those times, it wastn colonized) claimed it Terra Nullis and established the kingdom of Araucania and Patagonia, in 1862 the chilean goverment make an incursion inside the kingdom and arredted antonie, he died in france around 1870's
After that, persons not aligned with antonie claimed the kingdom, and one of those where the "antonie" that we se here, and actually he is "antonie" III
the illusion of free choice:
| historical | | non historical |
| Brazil declares war on Japan |
I love your videos, man. I'm a relatively intermediate player and I love watching how you go through your paces, make weird divisions work, and it always inspires me to play HOI4 to see some goofy things
Glad you like them!
Has Bittersteel ever successfully done the encircle London strategy? I feel like every video has him trying to encircle and the crying about accidently taking London
Of course he has
French King in Chile
Isn't Easter Island kinda too big and too close to the main land? Did paradox mess up the map again?
Trying to get my recommendations back to hoi4 and you were the first youtuber to came to my mind
Can we just appreciate that you can make Chile France and you can make Argentina the Fourth Reich 😂
Watching Bittersteel losing his sanity is just what we need
At this point official DLCs are rivaling TNO on how schizo they are
7:27 Yes, in fact they've been there for over 1,500 years!
Wake up everybody! Bittersteel just dropped a new video
24:40
there is so much pain in the voice that you can actually feel Steels disappointment
This was my first new DLC play and it was awesome
“ OMG it’s adorable why am I not playing as WAR BABY! “
That was one hell of a fun ride
poor Chile is being tortured in the worst possible way being french
15:56 crazy man laughter
the title of king of patagonia still exists to this day but the current king is not a direct descendent and uses the title as a mapuche right platform so in the end it's a wholesome thing
The longest boi has returned.
Next video I'd like see you play Chile like a baby ahahah
me, an Iowan: "oh he got the pronunciation of Des Moines right!"
Chile having an identity crisis so decides that chile is everyone at once
9:42 Everyone sent support except France! Almost historical! Ha!
Wow, that's a bit of history on Chile I had no knowledge of.
"Why am I not playing as War Baby" That cracked me up
Chile is actually really strong now. A good construction based economy tree, tons of advisors to lower consumer factories and good advisors for other things like suppression. Poor manpower, factory slots to compensate. Lots of resources too all things considered
Red Flood reference is just something
May the force be with him
Chile France isn’t real it can’t hurt you
Chile France:
He is definitely gonna do a war baby playthrough.
you have to play as rapa nui at somepoint
bittersteel is the kind of guy to get cores in the entire world and only takes mexico
Wait, I started a coup in Chile? Hold up! 😂
found out that if you do "integrate the Mexican realm" you get cores on all Mexican cores, this means if Mexico gets more cores, this decision will give you those cores too.
Bro forgot to turn off allied supply in London lmao
Great content
I can’t think of a worse punishment for a country other than become French
"Scuffed" is the word you are looking for.
Oh sure, Chile can claim Quebec, the UK can core North America, but France can't even recore New France. Sure, Paradox. Sure.
Damn you, making me buy a new desk mat you MONSTER
Evil mastermind
As if we don’t have enough French already😂
En esa realidad se dice "pan francés" a la marraqueta y no hay mayor discusión
2:55 "everything about Chile sucks and that's why it has to become France..."
As a French I wouldn't recommend to become France to suck less economically and social wise. You would be disappointed
Making Chile France, haven't they been through enough?
also i just noticed. Did Dominican Republic just untied with Haiti at the end? Has AI learned to push the button that allows them to do that? It never happened before.
This wasn't what was I expecting while crying about how France needs an update at hoi4 subreddit but anyway it looks fun
what mods do you have to have those focus treees
imagine playing France and not beign able to get your colonies as a core but some chilean guy can...
I actually did get a deskpad. Its worth it. Really nice.
You forgot to turn off allied supply when invading England lmao
Love your content 😊😊😊😊
I think bittersteal is pregnant
My great-grandfather didn't fight in the war to help companies charge $20 for 3 focus trees!
I need war baby playthrough. If this doesnt happen I will be distraught
Things I never expected in HOI4 and that was a war baby for sure....
Get mr German Austrian Artist with Argentina and declare the Fourth Reich? Its a bit of a pain, but also pretty memey
Any chance we'll see aircraft deskpads? Fw190, BF109, P-47, something like that? ;)
has anyone got the deskmat but as an image cause its kinda good and i wanna put it in my desktop
"hey, Paradox, why didn't you add a democratic tree for Russia/Soviet Union?", asked many.
"oy vey, the tree is already massive, we don't have time for it, and who cares anyway".
Nobody, absolutely nobody asked for it:

*adds a french royalist tree for Chile*
omg warbaby run when?!
15:17
Turned Chile in THE WORLD
Just have to absolutely love the schizophrenia paradox is giving us😅😅
I now have an obligation to play as this nation. . . Solely for the sake of my very distant cousin being it's leader. (This is not a joke)
grande grande, saludos desde chile
One of the goofiest paths in the game
how do you have so many divisons by the time of war with argentina? did you use cheap templates. I only had 13 divs
Holy shit my country actually made it into hoi4
How do you level up your generals so quickly? It always takes ne forever to get XP for them
Le Chilé
So this shows that Belgium is the best nation in HOI IV?
Bitt3rSteel thug shake
Once you start HOI4, everything ends up in a mess :D
