[WHAT IF GERMANY WON WW1? | KAISERREICH LORE E02 - COMMUNE OF FRANCE 1917-1923]
This fictional Kaiserreich Documentary series explores the althistory timeline of the world's most popular althistory IP, 'Kaiserreich'. In the world of Kaiserreich, Germany and her Central Power allies win WW1, leading to a world very different than our own.
In this second episode, the Kaiserreich team takes a closer look at the left-wing revolution that heralds doom for the defeated French Republic. Humiliated by the Treaty of Versailles, and burdened with economic downturn, the Third French Republic finally collapses and makes way for a Commune Of France. This 'Syndicate Socialist' revolution would originate in Paris, but later form the inspiration for a world alliance of syndicalist nations and revolutions. In this new world, Germany and her allies must face... a red dawn over Europe.

Edit: I should add that Xinjiang was an independent socialist republic which most likely would've been defended by the USSR, also Manchuria could've become the Taiwan of a KMT Victor due to the Soviet invasion of the region
Marx as far as I remember never really speculated much barring a comment about France itself being peculiar. It would be Lenin who'd work out more of formula for which countries would be most likely to undergo revolution.
Of course if you have the citations otherwise I'd be happy to stand corrected.

@@alphagamer9505 Even after the Sino-Japanese War, the KMT outnumbered and outgunned the communists (partly thanks to US support). The KMT was notoriously corrupt, heavy-handed (like their massacres of suspected communists) and inefficient, which the CPC took advantage of.

Without funding revolutions, they would keep getting bogged down like in our timeline and run out of manpower eventually. They also know that they have the advantage of political stability. As long as they stay that way by winning and economic growth, they will be able to avoid a revolution in their homeland. The revolutionaries will need plenty of peaceful time to secure the power so that would be the problem for the future.

IRL everyone invaded the soviet union but gave up because the people were sick of war and they were on the verge of collapse. It does kind of make sense germany wouldn't be up for another invasion of france while they were busy consolidating vast territory in the east and in africa and in asia.

Soooo is the Second Battle of Jutland where the last episode in the series left off gonna be added somewhere at some point? This doesn't really fit narratively if you don't finish the Weltkrieg's ending on sea too now especially since it's also missing in episode 3 when it would have most affected Britain đ
Actually that whole part of the lore was scrapped in a rework between the first and third episodes. That's why theres a slightly different start to this one compared to the last ending, and why this episode released after e03 đ

10:37 i recognise this footage, it's when france and belgium invaded the weimar republic when they refused to pay reperations in 1923 and occupied the Ruhr. they wanted to make the germans work for them but they refused and several germans were killed and they were mistreated for refusing to work for the french.

That's only sad to have 0 french speaker among the team : almost every name is really badly pronounced.
And when "french characters" speak, their French accent is really too important on some words and not enough in others, it is onvious that it is an artificial accent. Notwithstanding it would have been very easy to find a french voice to speak with a real french accent. There is many great websites to find good french voice actors for almost no cost. It is also very strange when the french character do one mistakes on every letter when she have to speak french for 3 words.
It is sad because it really breaks immersion.

Actually one of the voice actors is French youtuber La Tropeur, and the entire episode was written by French and Belgians. We prefer working with exaggerated accents sometimes đ

It always come to the Victors of war. They make such tremendous reparation and land concessions that makes the lose of the war humiliated that creates this hatred that makes this cycle again and again.
Any war that France loses is humiliating to them, no mater the reparations you impose on them. If you don't bow to France, you will humiliate them. The same in 1840.
And compared to our real treaty, where Germany lost every colony and payed until 2010, this alternative treaty much less a burden.
