This fictional Kaiserreich Documentary series explores the althistory timeline of the world's most popular althistory IP, 'Kaiserreich'. In the world of Kaiserreich, Germany and her Central Power allies win WW1, leading to a world very different than our own.
The year is 1919. Britain has lost the Great War. In the wake of her defeat comes cascading economic collapse, sending shockwaves through the fragile British Empire. As province after province erupts in open rebellion, Syndicalist forces seize power in the British Isles and declare the new Union Of Britain. The British Empire has fallen. In this timeline germany bassicly became us in our timeline, world police who fear the spread of communism or in this timeline syndicalism while many former european colony fall into the chaos of revolutionary campaign to free their motherland from the grasp of their former european master.
Germany: Finally, we have solidified our place as a world power!
*France falls to Syndicalism, the British Empire collapses entirely, the United States enters the Great Depression and experiences rampant political extremism, and the Ottomans are the Ottomans*

Imagine what was going through that guys head for the years afterwards: being the guy solely responsible for the collapse for the United Kingdom.
I mean, nobody really knows who started the fighting. Propaganda insisted that the military shot first, even years after the Union of Britain collapsed, but it's just as likely somebody from the protesting crowd threw a rock, or some rotten food, or a McArthur cocktail into the soldiers, starting the fighting. There's just no way to know without the person who started it themselves admitting to it, and let's be honest, that guy is probably long dead by now.

Haha omg I spent wayy too long looking for episode 2. Keep up the great work. Would be nice to hear how the different regions of states had different reasons for joining factions in the usa. Kinda like how rural ohio would have different reasons than say port Michigan...would be cool to learn about that... it is easy to write geographic borders...but a little harder and more complex in reality. Kinda like how during the troubles...a large number of northern Ireland was protestant, but minority Catholics were there...would be cool to hear about which groups opposed the ideas of the majority regions they are in.
Kinda like the free state of Jones. Would be cool to hear where pockets of resistance to the primary factions would sprout up and for what reason what groups would do so.
Keep up the great work. Kinda excited to hear about the Scandinavian nations too. Had recently heard about the first modern king of Norway. And the "all for norwat" mentality .. nationalism was really everywhere .

Great documentary. It reminds me a lot of the Russian Civil War. Ireland is like Finland and northern Ireland is like Karelia.
British settlers in Distant colonies collaborating with the German empire to maintain their own power could be an interesting side plot
One question would be would there be a coalition government in South Africa or would the Dutch settlers launch an insurrection to become the sole local authority
IIRC it's a coalition government and SOuth Africa provisionally leaves the Empire, but the issue remains hotly debated by 1936, so South Africa kinda sits on the fence regarding the Entente.
Man I really hope we get a Kaiserreich tv series at some point in the future, something like Game of Thrones (Sans S8 and D&D of course). The second American civil war could fill several story arcs alone.

when the revolution took place in Russia, the new government carried out a reform of the alphabet. it would be cool if the new authorities also carried out a similar reform in England and France, and the old alphabets would remain in Canada and Algeria. simplifying the alphabet and removing strange letter combinations. it would give a new atmosphere.
The problem with that though is that the French and British literacy rates at the time were much higher than in the Russian Empire, so there would be no need to simplify the language to do so.
@@joshstainton8207 If I'm not wrong, France already standardized their alphabet during the French Revolution and Britain did so during the Industrial Revolution. Russia border changed many times before the Russian Revolution so it's natural that they didn't have a standardized alphabet at that time.
9:00 am a big history buff on Irish loyalist history and am shocked that yous basically got the front lines completely right, yous even included the Lismore area of the "loyalist Belt", very well played guys
Only thing I would add is that they missed out the Cavan, Monaghan, Sligo, Letrim, Donegal and louth loyalist areas
I was remind when she mentioned how staff betrayed the nobles to how slaves would betray their masters at the first chance and how masters were always surprised and thought they were loyal

Iâd love to see a closer look on the Red Terror. Like who was behind it, who was purched. What happened to those purched. What are those Black Trains? What happen to those behind the terror? (Maybe even how the terror was seen after the royal recapture of the British isles)
I don't like that they didn't explain it. In the original lore, the Red Terror wasn't much of a thing in the British Revolution because there was a softer, more reconciliatory approach to the nobles and former elites. IIRC they were stripped of their titles of nobility and were allowed to join the workers' society.

I have a problem with the Red Terror bit.
In the original KR lore, the Red Terror wasn't really a thing when the British Revolution arrived. There was a softer, more reconciliatory approach to the nobles and former elites.
IIRC they were stripped of their titles of nobility and were allowed to join the new society, with the exception of hard labour being reserved for their worst offenders. It's not like the Bolsheviks.
IMHO the British Revolution would not be as bloody and long-lasting as the Russian Civil War. We're talking years of White/Red massacres, famines, and a violent coup by the Bolsheviks over other leftist groups meant the conditions were right for mass terror to happen under the secret police.
So to say the same exact thing would happen in Britain seems like a stretch.
They are actively re-writing the lore, and compared to the russian revolution this is vastly different as it seems to have taken a brief few months and though started with a ship mutiny inspired from the russian revolution, not to mention that massacres were by extremists groups and not the Syndicalist faction as a whole and many still live outside the union
You, Young writer that is reading this, hear me out:
A novel set in a world where Germany won WW1, the main character is an official of a sort of secret police of Ludendorfd regime, the villain of the story is a chad official that made his Way in his courage during the Spring offensive and the suppression of revolts in Eastern Europe and Belgium that is Now the head of the secret police.
He is never fully descrive but we know he is charismatic, talks emotionally and has terrifying but fascinating eyes, we also know he is a bit small and has austro bavarian accent.
We never have his name, he is referred with his rank.
He is very patriotic and militaristic, he often makes heavily offensive jokes about jews and slavs.
He is horrified by the revolution in France and talks about it as a judaic plot against The West.
He is violent and isterical and unlikable, often abusing of his power by using unnecessary violence against arrested syndacalists.
Dayum, an unnamed character that becomes the other Hitler of this timeline? Might be a good idea for certain characters that I might write in a book someday. Thank you for this idea good sir!
@@alicorn3924 i was implying an Hitler that is never explicitly indicated as it, for example NEVER specifie if he has mustache, this way he could very well be Hitler but he could also be a random guy, even if you talk in public about that never confirm anything, so it remains ambigous to simbolyze how there isn't just one monster that is Hitler but how anyone could be a monster like him in the right context.

Historical point: London was usually the most militant and powerful trades council within the TUC. The GLATC (Greater London Association of Trades Councils) was specifically set up to stop a unitary London Trades Council from overpowering the rest of the TUC, replacing it with seperate trades councils for each London Borough. There was no shortage of militancy among London dockers, railwaymen, post office workers, construction workers, painters and decorators, and engineering workers, to name a few. Even shopworkers were reliable strikers. If general strikes and uprisings break out elsewhere, there is no way the same doesn't happen in the inner London boroughs as well, and across the railway, tube and bus networks.
There would also have been mutinies and strikes among sailors. The royalists could not have relied on that many Royal Navy ships to evacuate the toffs and rentiers with. Similarly, dockworkers in Plymouth, Southampton and Brighton would have gone on strike or on Go Slow.

What if Elsweyr defeated the Adlmeri Dominion? An alternate history of tamriel.
Against all odds the Khajitt manage drive out Dominion. Defeating what was once the most powerful force in the known world, with Elsweyr now emerging as the most dominant economic and military power on the continent.
Elsweyr now a great power, years later now faces the consequences of victory.
Some events:
Because of the dominion devastating loss the high elf economy faced total collapsed. Old nobal family rivalries flare up, each blaming the other of the dominion downfall. Extremist views become more common including religious fanaticism, blood purist, and mercantilism.
The summer set isles descends into a bloody four way civil war after Aurdion and Artaeum declares independence. Declaring themselves the commonwealth of Audion and the holy kingdom of Artaeum respectively.
The Cyorodill empire became vastly over extended under a line of either weak or greedy emperors. Lives thrown away in petty pyrrhic victories, all for the pride of glory seeking generals. Once loyal citizens now feel like nothing more than pawns. Forcing some look into alternatives.
A fringe radical ideology grows ever more popular among the lower ranks of imperial society.
The once whisper of revolution, has become too loud to ignore. For a specter is haunting Tamriel, the specter of republicanism.
This is interesting. It is the very definition of political roleplaying, but that was always the point. I never played HoI any version, let alone the mod this was spawned from.

Kaiserreich is brilliant. History could have turned out this way or 100 others.
The only thing I might add is that the chaos after WW1 could have been avoided (maybe) if Germany won the war on both fronts in a rapid, blow-out. This potentially could have happened if Germany had an influential leader that realized the importance of air power in 1904. If they made a massive and secret investment in aircraft technology they could have started the war in 1914 with the airforce they had in 1916. Well built aircraft combined with unchallenged airpower would have given them the ability to shut down all enemy transport. This would have required an Elon Musk or Steve Jobs character to get that done.
