Man, the entire team that worked on this is PHENOMENAL. All the tiny little details stowed away in this boundary break is unreal! Really shows how dedicated and hard working they are!
I think that they knew that if they messed up a remake from an Insomniac game, they'd get a TON of hate.
@@knownas2017 I dunno. I listen to the soundtrack and the comments on those videos haven't been kind regarding the music.
@@vidmasterK1 Meh, nostalgia fanboys are almost always terrible. The remake game music in this video sounds really good to me. :P
@@vidmasterK1 That's a completely different team.
@@mathunit1 As a Nostalgia Fanboy whose first game was Spyro, I love the remake. The soundtrack is great.
To give context for that dev teleporter at the end, in Gnasty's world you need to touch the exit portals in order to unlock the final boss, so the dev teleporter allowed them to expedite testing for that.
I'm curious if any speedrunners try to hit it.
given that it's underneath a deathplane I doubt that's possible
@Srcsqwrn Speedrunners don't use that technique mainly because its not known how to get to it legit and if any method is found to get there it would probably be slower than just doing a glitchy wallglide to the end (which is the current route on the pc version)
@@ratchet1freak Surely theres some way to glitch past it. The question is, is it worth it?
@Ag silver radio depends a how they implemented that death plane, if it's a if(spyro_pos.y
The art style of this remaster is absolutely beautiful, I'd love for them to release an entirely new Spyro game in this style with the same gameplay as the originals.
I hope they do, Spyro deserves that as a concept. Too much downstairs, rushing, greed and bad luck has happened to Spyro as a franchize, so I really hope they'll make something more just like these remakes. The pressure is high, though... and only god knows what (shudder) Activision is gonna do next...
That would be fun!
If they remade Enter the Dragonfly and polished it up and added all the scrapped levels, it's practically be a new game XD
@Zachary Erickson Certianly be an interesting idea. I pwrsonally would love to see some new content to though.
They are allready devoloping that. I heard it's tenitively planed for release in 2021.
As cool as a team-up between Gnasty, Ripto, and the Sourcoress would be, I hope they do somthing more orrigional; but of corse, still in the clasic Spyro style.
...
I personally would love have some levels where you play as Hunter, akin to the ones in Spyro a Hero's Tale!
That ink'd out dragon is possibly my favorite just for the fact he did his wings too
The craftsmanship involved, too
I mean, wings are just membranes
The one you mean there, is called and named Gavin, there´s also another ´´Tattooed´´ One which´s called and named Lucas, he also has some Markings / Tattoos on his Wings, like Gavin had them.
Well, all 75 Reignited Dragons got a awesome Re-Design that Activision, Beenox and TfB has given them. Well, the Orange One with the Glasses and the Book is Cedric, and the Artist there is Delbin.
Well, even my personal Favorite Reignited Dragons are Lindar and Cosmos. - Hope i could help you here, You´re Welcome :)
All I am getting from this is that whoever modeled the dragons was severely underpaid. Which is the impression I got when playing, the dragons are the most impressive part of this game by a long shot and I am grateful to see that whoever did the work, clearly poured his heart and soul into them.
Here's hoping they make a comback in the next game.
i know this is months ago but im happy to tell you that different artists worked on the concepts and final art that was eventually modeled, so no underpaid overworked artists were taken advantage of-- i know of the one who did the elder dragons but im not sure if he did any others, his name is nicholas kole and he has an artstation.com!
I feel like the leaf card might actually be a planet.
Yeah looks like Saturn
I instantly came to look at the comments to see if anyone else thought that as well! I sat here with the video paused for way too long to try and see if the planet could actually pass as a leaf, not even a tiny bit. 😅
Taking a look outside this game's boundaries really puts the "Spy" in Spyro
Christopher Moon First reply! (Not that I need to inform you, you’ve been stalking me for quite some time)
Why you are everywhere my man.
ro, ro, ro your boat!
Please, aloow me to ruin your pun with a etimmology lesson;
...
The "Spyr" in Spyro means "breath," or "spirit," or "air/wind"
The "pyro" in "Spyro," means fire.
So, Spyro is either a "fire spirit," or a "fire-breather."
@@agsilverradio2225 What you wrote doesn't ruin what Christopher wrote :) A pun is a play on words.
10:07 that looks like a planet lol
And the "wave" looks more like a claw to me!
That was my thought, too.
@@TimmyTomsen The wave looks like a Pi symbol.
Yeah, it's definitely a planet on the right
Lmao I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering how he looked at that and thought it was a leaf
So disappointing about the door...
It was probably going to a dlc level or something. Sorta how crash 3 got a dlc level out of nowhere
it's ok you can imagine anything you want in there
Didn't imagine for you to be here
i love those extra details like books and cards. at this point i'm expecting a game to have a hidden texture out of bounds that says "shesez was here"
For some reason I feel like there was one game covered on this series that did acknowledge him, but I'm not certain if I remember right.
@@delta3244 there is. I can't remember the name, but there is a game that, if you clip out of bounds in a particular area, there is a model of him and some other youtuber (whose name I can't remember either, sorry) with specific speech texts. Let me see if I can find the video of it.
@@delta3244 here it is: czcams.com/video/KjQ_ICdA8ws/video.html
in Anodyne 2 he has one, lol.
@@Alfonso162008 The other CZcamsr is supposed to be a joke at Nitro Rad
Can't wait to see Spyro 3 episode of this. My favorite has to be looking at the page on the professor's clipboard in Agent 9's level. Literally just says "Blah blah blah blah" lol
12:40 : The debug trigger teleports you to the end of the level
Speedrunners: Time to get up in that
As Ripto says! *”I’m going to enjoy this”*
I read that in riptos voice in my mind for some reason😅😂😂
7:23 it's a soap bubble multiverse!!
I really like how (it appears) the artist just made great, complete models and gave the animators the freedom to do whatever they want with them
The effect on the dog eye is just ambient occlusion, which means that the model was not properly smoothed.
This sometimes happens when i bake ambient occlusion onto my model. And i have to manually apply a Gaussian blur to it.
@DeltaGem Not really, that's not usually something you would debug
"Not properly smoothed" as in, the edges of each polygon of the model were assigned as "sharp" corners rather than "smooth" corners, no?
Ambient Occlusion deals with edges not faces. It's just a low poly model.
@@Thornskade Yeah
Please do Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled!! On Dingo Canyon, there is a hidden road directly lifted from Crash Bandicoot: Warped that the player normally can't see at all. It's incredibly detailed but the only way to get there is by some awkward glitch jump that most people can't pull off. I'd LOVE to see y'all take the camera there and other tracks throughout the game!! Thanks so much!! ♥
6:06 The reason we are all here for. THAT ONE DOOR! in the starting area...
4:51 I’m pretty sure both of those characters go unused in Spyro 1, they’re the NPCs and enemies from Hurricos in Spyro 2 iirc
I came here to say this, so thanks!
Yeah they say that in the video
Yes, he did state this. Did you watch the whole video?
@@ElysetheEevee He states that the little blue guy came from 2, but only states that the other NPC is just "unused" in that level.
Boundary Break series reminds me of the days when I first got into .hack// series. Where the idea of something unknown is hidden in a game. Possibly behind the walls of an area you've seen 100 times. I remember a scene in .hack//G.U. where someone asks the player what they think is behind a wall in the game. Talking about how it really is just nothing cus this is a game but how interesting it would be if there was something there that players couldn't see.
For those that don't know. .hack// is a series that take place in an mmorpg called The World and dates back to 2002
When you said this reminds you of .hack// ... i felt that.
As a man who owns all 7 games and spent his early years consuming its media... its a damn shame that not enough people know about it because it is an interesting story
Zack .hack would be unfortunately a difficult game for shezes to do considering the near infinite amount of dungeons
.hack ... the game that had procedural generated levels before procedural generation was even a thing
@@perrydunetz882
He could still do the hub world and some of the reoccurring dungeon elements.
@@jm00789 When I first got .hack// vol 1. Quarantine. I spent weeks going to random dungeons as a kid thinking maybe I'll find other secrets. I remember how blown away I was when I found the secret dungeon in the end game which was on top of that floating spinning man you see in the sky sometimes.
10:09 it’s actually not a leaf but the insomniac games symbol. But that’s just how I see it. Also the card in front of it isn’t a puzzle but a pi symbol. At least from my perspective.
I saw a claw and a planet
Response Alpha 3 yeah the planet is the insomniac symbol. (The same people that made Spider-Man) but good guess tho. And yeah it does look like a claw.
It's absolutely crazy the amount of Easter eggs and discoveries that come from this channel. Love the textures on the books and cards that you aren't supposed to see.
dude the fact that they put so much detail into such little things is so admirable and tells you that they were serious about putting so much love into this game
I'd love to see the other two!
Can't wait to see games 2 & 3! Great work!
This game has so many details I was hoping you would make an episode! Thanks for being so awesome!
7:20 My god... I always knew Spyro games had to be set in some kind of multiverse!
Okay, the eye thing really was interesting ngl 😂
11:25 behind the wall straight ahead of the balloon there is actually another one of those pads. That one allows you to be able to travel to any homeworld (even without any of the requirements met). This is what speedrunners in any% to skip to the final homeworld
“Goat”
Evidently that is a ram.
That's totally a goat
Maybe it's a hair sheep.
Meh, same shit. :P
Thats clearly a fawn, you dork
This episode made me so so very happy! It just blew me away seeing all the tiny details the devs put into the game. Thank you for making this episode to show us all of these things. I'm really looking forward to seeing Spyro 2 and 3 eventually!
Nobody:
Shesez: EYES!
You now see everything
it used to be feet
He's preparing for bloodborn 2
Can't wait for the Eye & Feet special
It’s pronounced “EWES” 😤
You don’t know how happy I was to see this! I’ve been wanting an episode of Boundary Break since Reignited came out, and I had to wait until I was completely awake so I could fully enjoy watching it! I can’t wait to see more! ❤️
I love boundary break so much no only are there some reallly cool looking things to see, you actually get a very good visual idea of how games are developed! This is probably the best method of learning about how games are designed im so appreciative of you being able to do this and sharing it with the internet
Great job on the editing! Loving those transitions. :D
Saw this new upload in my recommended and I've never clicked faster, keep doin what you're doin, thank you for the wonderful content.
I've been wanting to see this one, hip hip hooray!
I've played the remastered Spyro like 5 times in the last month! This is so cool to see. Gavin (the barista dragon) is my favorite in the whole game and I'm glad he's got wing tats
Editing on this episode was superb. I recognized immediately that something was different and at the end you confirmed. Glad to see the channel growing.
I've been really looking forward to this episode!! Thank you so much for all your hard work on this!!!
The little details on the dragons are amazing! It’s obvious that the devs put a lot of love into this game. Great episode! 💜💛💜💛
I appreciate you wanted to do a weekly show and I am sorry you couldn't pull it off but this is why I subscribed. this format is fantastic, even if it's only once a month these types of videos are fantastic.
YEEEEEEESSSS !!! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS EPISODE!!! THANKS!!!
Wow, this game looks beautiful! And I love the hidden details you showed us. Actually thinking about buying it because I've always been interested in Spyro anyway and because the episode was so good!
Ive waited for this game for so long! Finally! :D
this was quite a juicy episode for "whats on the other side" which has been a whole bunch of "nothing of course, the player wasnt meant to see", but not this time! im loving the new clearness to the mic quality dude.
Loved the original game and the remake! I enjoyed playing one of my favorite games from my childhood once again. Oh, the memories... Your videos are awesome! And yes, please, I'd love to see Out of Bounds for Spyro 2 and 3 from the Reignited Trilogy
I am SO happy I found this channel! Spyro's graphics and developments was already incredibly impressive but WOW
Also: You should do Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. There are SO many cool animations in it (like being swallowed by characters/flowers, insides of buildings that you can get small peeks into, and obviously THE FINAL BOSS LEVEL). Probably the coolest glitch I discovered was in the level either Ship Rex or something else beach themed, there are two seahorses dancing in the sky!
I love all the questions this series answers, and the questions I didn't even know I had. If a video on Silent Hill 4 could be possible, I'd watch it even more than I do your Silent Hill 2 episode.
Yay, I love Spyro Reignited Trilogy so much and I'm glad that you have made a Boundary Break episode out of it Shesez :)
I was really hoping you'd do this one!!! Thank you Shesez and Team!!!
There it is! Hooray! Been waiting for this since before last year’s PAX East!
Yes! Thank you Shesez, I was really hoping you would do more Spyro boundary breaks! The off camera secrets are pretty interesting in these games, as well as the original ps1 Spyro Year of the Dragon, as that game has *a lot* of scrapped and hidden stuff just sitting around.
It makes me happy knowing that the butterflies have a derpy face.
Been looking forward to this one, great job! 😍
You know, I absolutely adore Spyro. He's one of my favourite mascots for the Playstation and one of my favourite video game characters ever. If I could bundle him up in a package and gift wrap him to myself, I would without a doubt definitely do so.
Great SkullGirls track at the very end of the video! Love your videos and hopefully you are able to keep up the hard work.
Ahh my heart. ;w; It's so nice to be able to discover new details of this beautiful game. Thank you!
That was awesome ! Can't wait for the two other games.
Thanks for the continued AWESOME content Shesez!
2:50 "Let me fire my laser!"
Shoop da Woop!!!
I hate that I remember this
"IMMA FARMER IN MALAYSIA!"
@@shoutuckerdidnothingwrong well that's one way to hear it. 😆
Your commentary adds to this, like with Spyro in his idle position.
Would love if you did a Boundary Break on the original Kingdom Hearts, or Birth by Sleep.
Great video Shesez!!! I hope to see the rest of the remake series!! I always wondered how they accomplished the scene transitions when you enter a portal and the whole world seems to melt away.
That 'leaf' on the playing card is actually a ringed planet I think
I believe its meant to be Insomiac games' logo. They were the team who created the original Spyro games
Awesome stuff! I can't wait to see more!
Yo this episode was awesome! SO many hidden details. I totally want to see spyro 2 and 3!
GREAT VIDEO !
I have the Spyro Reignited Trilogy for the PS4 and Switch, and i LOVE THEM !!!
There's a lot of this stuff that you can at least see if you use some of the glitches in this game! Infinite climbing in certain places let's you climb high enough to fly wherever you want, should take a look into that!
Wow this episode was absolutely full of super interesting stuff. I hope this gets enough traction to cover the other members of the trilogy because I am super curious now
I love how when you zoomed in on the dragon's faces, it looked like they were constantly opening their eyes wide.
Loved this! Great video yet again :)
Loved watchin this, Spyro is my favorite game, i have wondered about this! I am nosey, i like to look and snoop around in the game! Please do more on Spyro Trilogy, i am currently playing!!!!
Yay!! i'I've been waiting for a Spyro Reunited Trilogy boundary break 😁
I watch whatever you upload because of all the cool things I learn about my favorite games.
Yay! So glad to see this episode!
The last time I was this early, the boundary *wasn't* broken.
🏅
Please do all three, I know this series means a lot to myself and a lot of people around my age.
ive been watching your stuff for about two months now and really appreciate all the work you put into your videos. its angers me on a personal level that one of these videos doesnt do well off the bat, not sure why its just that the system seems so unfair and broken to creators like you. please keep making videos for a good while man.
This is so cool!!!!!
I would LOVE to see you explore out of bounds of The Stanley Parable! I think it would be super interesting!
I'm amased with the Symbolism behind the cards and the books!
Like this game has a lot of hidden clues in regards to magic like wuuut
love your stuff man! I wonder if anyone else has requested this but I would love to see any of the God of War games! I just started replaying through the series and noticed you haven't done any of them yet.
I'm so glad they actually let the artists do their thing and took the time to make these games faithful to the original, in gameplay and in evolved aesthetic. The details are so beautiful.
Brilliant work as usual bud
Ooooh I can't wait to see an episode on Ripto's Rage!! My favorite game of all time!!!
You should definitely do spyro 2 at some point for boundry break. That was my first video game as a kid and i still love it to this day. I even have the orginal copy i got for my birthday all those years ago
2:49 "IMMA FIRING MAH LAZAAAR BWAAAAAH-"
This game is wonderful and this show is wonderful. Thank you!
This episode felt extra juicy. Loved all of the little details!!
Yeah, do the other two games when you have time. Gonna need to see those for sure.
My favorite games ever, please do the rest of the trilogy!!
damn nice work on this video. I totally appreciate the game so much more now.
YES I love this channel and this game!
finally! I was waiting for this.
I have been dying for this video 💜💛
Gosh I love these videos! And one of my all time favourite games too! 😁🙌
I've been waiting months for this video! :D Very well done! Thank you! :D Please don't be shy to make these videos longer :) I was really hoping to see some zoom outs of the home worlds and I'm so happy you did :D For the Reignited Spyro 2 Boundary Break, do you think you can also compare things to the original Spyro 2 Boundry Break that you did? Like did they keep things in the same place, or did they move them? I just think a comparison would be really cool to see and that it would also be a nice addition to the Reignited Spyro 2 Boundary Break :) I look forward to Reignited Spyro 2 and 3 Boundary Break :D
This was a great boundary break! Glad to see newer games back on here. Even though it's technically a remake lol
It's amazing seeing inside of games this way my favourite series on CZcams.. Also do borderlands 3 that would be awesome
I just bought it on switch and was playing with my 3 year old. I saw some things in the background and I wonder if there was a boundery break about spyro so I came to youtube and perfect timing 😁
Yes finally a video game I like again!! Been awhile
Yes!!! I love when famous games are in episode!
