I saw a very large amount of comments from female players complaining that Niantic must hate women since they went and made everything so androgynous. Imagine trying to be so inclusive you wrap back around to coming off as sexist and out of touch. They could've added in new hair styles and body type options with the old designs. Funny my trainer became a "female" with green hair after the update. I got pissed, tried to recreate my old char, and the hair was removed? I switched to faces, and instead of a preview, like Nintendo did with Mii, they were just numbers. And why they didn't add a filter to male/female parts? Physical traits and characteristics are still separated between male and female. No need to lock them, just add a f-ing filter to rapid find one that matches what you're looking for. And not everyone is non-binary, ffs.
Heck. I have no problem with adding options so people feel included in a game with character customization, I understand some people want to make a copy of themselves in-game, but why remove the other options? That makes absolutely no sense. I just deleted my account and uninstalled it after realizing all that. Corpos need to understand that we either make something we find pleasant, not necessarily that we identify with, or go full jojo's on the character creation...

They wonât change it, the CEO of Niantic is an egotist. Heâd rather the game go under than make something players want. They lost most of their money when they nerfed the remote raid pass, simply because they didnât want players playing like that anymore. It forced out everyone in rural areas who had no other option, disabled players who physically couldnât go out regularly. I live in a pretty large city, and the PokĂ©mon go community here completely died off. My entire family quit, and we all spent far too much money on the game. A lot of people theorize they keep trying to tank the game because they made a new monster catching game that they donât have to pay PokĂ©mon royalties for.
Interesting theory, but with Monster Hunter Now wouldn't they have to pay licensing fees to Capcom instead? And they have the Pikmin game too. The only game they have that doesn't have licensing fees is Ingress. I suppose the licensing fees could be cheaper for the non Pokemon games but even with the decline PoGo is still their biggest money maker afaik.

To top it off me specifically I made my character look like my character was Alolan in the gen where most characters had dark skin. The figure on the right (at 1:42) looks abnormal, considering the texture map they used for the "sports bra" retains the shading and stretched appearance of the figure on the left, yet when you look at the contour of the right figure's torso/chest area, it's basically a straight, vertical line-meaning both the shading and the "stretched fabric" look make no sense.
My favorite comparison to the body proportions is the model for Xavier Renegade Angel.
The elongated arms, shorter legs, wide torso, etc. itâs perfect.
If this update is to enhance customization as they said why didn't they just add them as new options instead of replacing the previous ones? That way they wouldn't have offended the players.

Having curves is not making someone sexy. Most women have natural curves, its the reason shapes like apple, pear, hourglass, exist as clothing guides for women. The female body tends to get curvy, people need to stop hating on what is natural and learn to love themselves in their natural state.

What you didn't mention is that they removed both male and female options and basically blended both genders into one, so now our characters are just neutral gender or something and now we can crossdress or be fat

All the avatar comparisons I've seen look like a "Your profile pick vs you in real life" meme. Everything is so ugly. They've somehow even managed to reduce the saturation of darker skin tones, so tanned and black characters look sickly and ill now. HOW did this get approved?
Not only the tanned and black ones. All skin colours look weird. Basically the character is just a walking bloated corpse now.

Not just the darker skin tones, theyâve managed to mess up the saturation on all skin tones, now my character looks like a ghost walking around when before he looked like the dude at 2:36

Well, it isn't surprising given how Nintendo's also going for that imaginary ESG score. All this will do is kill Pokemon Go faster.
This ESG bullcrap has been tainting Pokemon specifically, moreso than the rest of the Nintendo catalog. Nintendo wouldn't dare make Mario woke if it knows what it entails. I'm betting someone at Gamefreak or TPC are buying the ESG bucks, but it begs the question why Nintendo even lets Pokemon fumble the bug so hard.

@@ohhellwhereami2574I have seen a bit of palworlds player model. Itâs basically a really exaggerated model creator that allows you to create monstrosities that are not humanly possible but that doesnât mean you canât create a decent looking character.
They basically got rid of the female option. It's all male-ish options. DEI and ESG ruins everything.
But I thought my character looks now too female. Update wasn't that nice.

It's not even just the phisical appearance of the avatar. The quality itself is like it has not been completed yet. Like it's just a draft that has not been polished. The avatar has no lines whatsoever in their body, and the crotch is too low, the color of the clothes looks like a base color with no shading. They should at least make it anatomically acurate.
They did they ruined our characters!!! I hate it! I'm going to quit!
It's not all bad, it just needs a bit of work.
Don't forget that they've also added muscle, hip and boob sliders to add to the customisation, plus they've still got more skin tones and hair styles and colours.
I expect they'll tweak it more, adding faces which look a bit more like the originals and adding a waist slider.

I honestly feel like they are trying to discourage us from enjoying the game so they can have new people come in and not ever know how good this game used to be. Pushing og gamers out since we complain so much.
The more realstic you want something to be, the more ugly it gets. There's a reason why game characters are made to be cute/attractive. You want to increase the appeal of the game as much as possible. not the opposite!
