- Roy Lupton is whistling in sika stags with Ryan and Mike from Jelen Premier Wildlife Services. It's not easy. Warm weather is having a bad effect on the sika rut. Roy tries to call in a massive old sika stag with both antlers and a whistle.
Meanwhile, Tim Pilbeam is after red stags, first cousin to the reds. Tim is in Portugal with Sergio Couto on a meat hunt.

The Sceery Elk call you are using is best used if you hold the end in your teeth then using the tip of both thumbs underneath two fingers on top close to your mouth, press down fairly hard so when you blow you release slowly, this gives the higher pitch then the more you release it developed into what you did the scream. You called one but this just perfects it.

Harkila R&R...just wanted to say Portuguese hunters eat what they hunt not many have the chance of shooting Iberian Dear "not Red Dear" depends where they hunt but all that do I can assure you that they eat it. Portuguese non hunters rarely eat or buy game meat unless they got relatives that hunt and give it to them. Hunting has always been a big part of Portuguese culture, sheep, turkey and cow keepers that lived in the big estates before the revolution like my grand dad a lot of his diet was game meat that he would poach from the estate while keeping the sheep. People in the north of Portugal got less hunting culture relating to big game up there is more focused on small game especially rabbits. Well done to Tiago and Sergio for introducing Portugal to some new faces it's good both economically and culturally for the country.
