- You can't beat the banter on a shoot day. Andy Crow, Jason Doyle and Charlie Jacoby head to Bedfordshire for the Jack Pyke pheasant shoot at Paul Childerley's place. Expect laughter, tears, and watch David shoot (with commentary from Crow). That's the fun part of this week's show. David is on the News Stump and then we get serious. It's the RSPB AGM this Saturday and we ask the question: does the RSPB want to take over from the UK's gamekeepers? Britain's biggest bird charity is picking up gamekeeping contracts at the same time it is briefing against gamekeepers in the media. Plus there's the great crowd of animal rights activists sticking the knife into gamekeeping whenever they can. Charlie has Hunting CZcams, rounding up the best hunting videos on CZcams this week and completing this week's #FieldsportsBritain

I had a nice run in with two rspb officers in Scotland the other day as I walked off the marsh and I must say they were very nice for once. They wanted to see the widgen I shot and asked me the best way of cooking it. We also spoke about how the bird numbers were picking up nicely. It was a welcome surprise.

I like that idea of the birds being processed and packaged like that for presentation to people that are not familiar with game. Anything to get more people involved in the sport, and I think that is a good one.

I live in the GIR sanctuary in India.
Stopping wildfires has decimated the game here, compared to what was when we had brush fires 25 years ago.
Heather has to be managed by persons with knowledge of the whole scenario, not just one facet.

I don't know if I understand this properly, but I think that game keepers are doing a great job of looking after wildlife, I just think people need to let nature take its course with harriers and falcons etc etc. ( P.S I am a hunter myself)
