She told me I need to stop wondering about such nonsense. It made me sad and I’ll never forget it.

Thank you Michael for kindly sharing me with Tommy Edison, I love him so much and he gives me so much encouragement!
I think that everyone sees color somewhat the same because If people did have different perceptions of colors then colors that contrast would be different to each person. So things like the videos that use black and white contrast to trick your vision wouldn’t work on some people because in the case that we don’t see all colors the same, someone would get two colors that don’t contrast and therefore the visual effect wouldn’t work.
It's a good point. But I think it is possible we see different colors anyway, keeping the same contrast between what I call red and green and what you call red and green. Take the negatives for example, red's negative is light blue, and green's negative is purple. The contrast between red and green could be the same as light blue and purple and it wouldn't make too much of a difference. Maybe it's not always the negative but the color spectrum could be a bit shifted, and contrast would allow to distinguish as different colors anyway
no you didn't get the brain's color interpretation point. let's say there is a strawberry which is red to you and a leaf which is green. in a b&w tv you will see them same contrast if their color value are same. you can not recognise the difference. and other person who sees red as your green also will see it like that. in a colored screen every pixel has a value of red, green and blue in the range of 0 to 255. for a strawberry it is 255 for red value and zero for others. for a leaf it is 255 for green and 0 for others. in a b&w screen the values will be same for strawberry and leaf so you can not distinguish them. to recognise the difference leaf or strawberry must have a different value. e.g. 200 for red and 255 for leaf and so in a b&w screen you will see a contrast difference.
You can't experience color

Trying to make a blind person understand what color is, is about as hard as us trying to think of or invent a completely new color we've never seen.
You'd have to biologically alter our eyes to be able to see currently invisible colours, it is actually a future possible though
@@nathanboy9866 Man, that'd be damn interesting if possible
@@sarcasm-83 probably will be in hundreds of years!
or i always wondered what blind persons are "seeing" when they are not able to see. then i saw a r/askreddit post about that some guy that was blind and is now able to see and while i was looking at the comments i got my answer: he said actually they see "nothing" not black or white or anything, just nothing. And best way to understand this is to close one of your eyes. You will only see the vision in your open eye and you wont really see black with the closed eye like when you close both of your eyes
Edit: fixed spelling mistakes sorry english isnt my first language
More difficult I think. It's like discovering a completely new sense. After all, a deaf person can't understand the sensation of hearing even if he can see. But we can see so a new color wouldn't be that surprising if we compare it to a blind person seeing for the first time.
I’ve always wondered this and I’m very happy to see it put into a Vsause vudeo

”We are all alone in our minds” is the most depressing thing to hear when you’re alone in the middle of the night
Its literally 11pm and I'm watching vsauce and questioning my own reality right now
But what you refer to as "alone" is based on previous experiences, and based on the fact you think it is possible not to be "alone" (because if it is possible to be alone, it is also possible to not be alone). If you think it's possible not to be "alone" it means you've experienced not being "alone" before, even though, at that time, you were still "alone in your mind", so it's a contradiction. Most of the times you start feeling this way, or feeling that nothing makes sense, it is a flawed statement, because it contradicts true experiences you had in the past, and I keep seeing people fall in this trap over and over. For example, you may think "everything I have and will ever done is predestined to be this way, because that's how matter works. If I were to create a 100% perfect computer simulation of the Big Bang, everything would repeat itself and the necessary information for the whole universe would already be contained and determined in the Big Bang. Therefore I have no free will, because I am just matter reacting to other matter". The last sentence is a flawed statement. Just because you dwelved deeper into how things work, it doesn't mean you don't have "free will". In the past, you have made choices, by which you defined "free will" to yourself. Now you claim that your own definition of "free will" doesn't exist to you even though you've experienced it and defined it in the past.

Bunny the talking dog talks with her buttons and has asked many questions! her channel is super interesting and fun to watch, it kind of gives you a perspective on things.
one interesting example that ive found throughout my life, which i believe proves that one person may see colors differently to another, is a variation in tolerance.
For example, I've found that theres a certain range of purple and blue that hurts my eyes, and i generally feel discomfort looking at it, as i find the tone very piercing. But when talking to a few friends about it, and showing them the colors for good measure, they didn't seem to have the same issue.
similarly, i remember an interaction i had with a highschool teacher in 9th grade a few years ago, where i was setting up a slide presentation and trying to make it look nice. When I used red text over a black background, she told me not to use it, because its rough on the eyes, but similarly to before, i didnt seem to have the same issue.
