And this is high quality content! On the surface it just appears to be a clipshow or lots of pictures jumping from one to the next, but if you make your own video in this format you realize this can actually take a while to put together. Getting all of the relevant clips and photos, piecing it in with your commentary, recording the commentary itself... this takes a deceivingly long amount of time to just put together, but putting it together in an entertaining way like Internet Historian? Whole different story.

There’s no time or reason to rise up corpo ranks or get in deep with gangs. In general you weren’t able to interact with the world at a deeper level because V just doesn’t have the time. @SotiCoto Před 9 měsíci +18

Cyberpunk's "story" gave me cyberpsychosis. By the end I was so completely out of fucks to give that I just started destroying everything. Walking down the streets gunning down civilians, lobbing sticky grenades on every passing car... because I just couldn't give a shit any more. The game had proven in every possible way that NOTHING the player does amounts to anything. All "choices" lead to the same thing. All choices not given don't even lead anywhere in the first place.
The real irony is that the single most profound moment I had in the entire game was wondering whether all those "cyberpsychos" the game had me kill were all suffering from the same issue I was: they realised that nothing they did mattered at all... that even rudimentary concepts like cause and effect were out of scope... that the only thing left to do was to go completely batshit insane and try so hard to destroy the world around them that maybe some part of it might remain broken...
... Well funnily enough I managed to break the police system. After cycling around a city block about 5 times, carpet-bombing it to a smoking crater, letting it respawn, then repeating over and over again... fighting the police off the entire way, killing them all, getting more to spawn and killing them too... the game just completely broke. Cars were floating in mid-air, stuck there. The police stopped spawning entirely. I'd overloaded the memory or something so hard that I actually broke part of the game. That was my one small victory.
...... and then I did that quest where the gay guy gets my help blowing up one van outside the city. And he got on the news. For one van. One. Van. Meanwhile I killed thousands of civilians, reduced hundreds of vehicles to burnt out wrecks, painted the roads with the bodies of Max-Tac .... and.... all I got was... well.... Max-Tac stopped wanting anything to do with me.
Yeah. Fuck the story. Fuck the quests.
If CDPR had made it so any of our actions actually made a difference, THAT I might have accepted.

Being able to actively construct a simple backstory is such a brilliant way of making players feel like their character is unique, even if all it does is unlock/alter dialogue options. @@TheTarooX ok, let's get that fanboy argument removed for a moment and listen to this, you are right people are waiting for this for 8 years, that's why it's a bad part for CDPR to announce a released date when they knew the game is badly optimized, the moment you announce a released date people hype and excitement will go to maximum, So when CDPR reveal that they will delay it again they should stop announcing a release date again and again. But NO, they literally released trailer after trailer, and don't forget about the Night City Wires, 343 delay Halo, then quite same with Techland with Dying light 2. Blame the CDPR management and not the people who bought the game full price with full of bugs.

The most fatal mistakes in any gaming development is when the developer overhyping their games and forgotting their arduous process on creating it, as if they can't hold their desire to releasing their half-baked game for the sake of living true to the hype train.

IIRC, it wasn't the actual devs who were at fault. It was the marketing guys with their promises.

Not really. The video covered the developement and release of Cyberpunk 2077. Just because CD Project added new contect AFTER the release does not change the fact that they did a big fuck up

i didn't even care about the bugs, what made me sad the most is that the game was not like what was promised, soo much cut content, the world felt empty.. dead..

To be fair if they implemented all the features then the overall game might have been somehow even more broken at release

That's what people should be angry about, a lack of features, not the bugs. Adrix made a great video about Cyberpunk which shows how CDPR chronically lied, omitted so much stuff, and it's not because they couldn't implement the features, it's because they just wanted to push copies.
