Muta PCs with VMs built in sound like a dream. No more worrying (or at least less worrying) about doing the VM gaming thing right. As someone that really wants to switch to Ubuntu but also doesn't know entirely how to properly set up gaming VMs, I would put money into that product as my main rig.
Bruh a muta pc with a complete hypervisor setup would be perfect
I would love that but I suspect there would be some legalities nonsense around shipping systems with VMs as advertised
@@AdamOwenBrowning I doubt there’d be any legal issues. I mean, let’s say the base system is Ubuntu, and it has a MS Windows whatever, licensed and activated, only awaiting launch. You still pay for Windows
As someone who used to enter pretty much all the PC giveaways imaginable, them only selecting winners who've used friend referrals is the thing I feared the most. Seriously a betrayal of people's trust
Artesian Builds’ CEO bringing their own legacy down all cuz he didn’t really care about the people that participated in those giveaways. That’s a win for a lot of people, and probably best his employees find new jobs, despite it not being easy to find jobs. Again though, it’s at least better the employees just find new jobs rather than working for that CEO if I’m being honest
Indeed man. It’s pretty nice lol.

If it was Artesian there wouldn’t be an apology until days later which would actually just be a product push. Then the lottery would have to also call out and belittle the non-rich person. Then we’d find out that the lottery runners were also doing shady book keeping.

"we can't afford to give away multi-thousand dollar pcs to just anybody" good thing that's not a multi-thousand dollar pc build then isn't it.
What really grinds my gears is that this recent incident wasn't a one-off mistake. They've been doing it for a while with no repercussions before it finally blew up in their faces.
They had countless chances to say to themselves "Hold on a sec, is this normal? Can we do this?" but they never did. Or maybe they just saw they could get away with it and never gave it a second thought.
In any case, nobody can say the company didn't deserve this. I just hope all the employees will find another (and better) job
To be perfectly fair, most if not all companies involved in giveaways or sponsoring through 'free shit' will _always_ take into consideration whether you're a mid size to large audience channel on CZcams. They will not give a $4000 PC to a CZcams channel that has only 200 followers. It's really just a matter of making this NOT known in the scummiest way possible in a live event. But trust me, the only reason companies like Meta PCs jumped in to give a free PC was the publicity stunt attention it generates. Not because the channel is 'big enough' for them to give a free PC anyway. In other words, not even Meta PCs would have given a free PC to a channel that small. Let's be honest.
@@PHeMoX in that case they should've just slip in a filter or something lol
@@crowdemon_archives Companies don't do that. Because they would check the 'random' winner beforehand. Doing giveaways is not charity. The point is gaining attention, getting new followers. Not wasting $4000 on a channel no one follows.

And pink for when it's nightclub time.
What about blue?
It’s crazy, all they had to do was give a small creator a thousand + dollars PC but instead they chose to lose a multi-millionaire dollar company. Glad they’re actions caught up to them
I think the company was failing well before that issue though, they had their ability to do business in california partially revoked last year, and fully revoked march 2nd. I don't know if it's related to the giveaway stuff, but this certainly all came crashing down at once for Artesian / Noah. I don't think giving the PC away would have stopped the company from going under
Tax evasion and asking for loand from their employers
My guy, you don't lose a multi-million dollar company over one bullshit giveaway. There was definitely other stuff going on (which has already been confirmed anyways), so the lay-offs would've happened anyways.

@@RoshDroz that's not a word
This whole situation is wild. From insults to an actual bankruptcy. It's crazy
Remember, if they just gave the streamer that PC, nobody would have found out they were committing tax fraud, possible embezzlement, running on a suspended business license. They literally speedran the death of the company and possible prison time
I hope the employees get employed at a higher paying job, and that they can continue doing what they love to do.
JayzTwoCents is going all out and contacting people in the industry to help the employees get new jobs
Gamers Nexus has been in contact with them employees helping them.

@@SmoltingWassie i mean you good?? Like yea the whole situation wasn't pretty and the CEO guy is pretty fucking garbage but the employees weren't doing anything wrong, trying to make ends meet even.
It was the CEO's fault mainly, the people who ran the giveaways wanted people to win but the CEO thought otherwise lol.
Kind of sadly. I’ve seen not one, but multiple employees who were hyping the CEO up on the chat and just being equally as condescending as him. Not all employees but sadly, yeah, this apparently was kind of a corporate culture thing
So people are stupid enough to think THIS is what turned their accounting instantly red?

I like how they were like "We're not going to fulfil our part in giving the winner the item because they're such a small creator it would hurt our company if we did do that" (which confuses me to start with) then they go ahead and completely kill the company which obviously hurts the company way more than _just doing _*_a good thing_*_ that they promised._
Apparently the company was funded by his parents money and basically his parents are picking up the pieces based on the what the ex-staff were saying on social media and discord.
Also around 50 staffs are out of job overnight and no way of getting their wages.

Artesian builds was the epitome of salvageable-yet-doomed. The talents and the employees were totally screwed by someone who shouldn’t have had the position of power. Ain’t the only company either, recently came across a company called “Build Redux” who didn’t honor a military discount because “it couldn’t be applied because prices were low enough already.” Truly a bad month for the image of PC building.
Edit: it was resolved as of 1:55 PM PST 3/11/22. The fact that it had happened though, sussy.
Most people already had an idea that redux pcs were trash, but that just makes it even worse

It's a really sad story. Watch the Gamer's Nexus video; 40-50 people lost their jobs because of a maniac asshole CEO. Also the KristoferYee Video was awesome.
Also as a PSA to those with pending orders with Artesian -- according to Gamers Nexus via employees from inside the company, they are instructed to halt all refunds so he recommends "requesting a charge back on your credit card IMMEDIATELY", because they will not honor refunds

According to several employees only the builds the CEO did or was involved with were having issues like the underclocking
Regarding the business license, depending on where they operated from, they might have paid for the renewal and never gotten the license. I've heard horror stories of businesses fined and shut down because the renewal took months and months while they had nothung to show but an email about the received payment. And prosecution on operating without a license was handled completely separately.

This is a pet peeve of mine but I can’t stand it when people say artesian instead of artisanal. Artesian is a word that refers to a well or aquifer or otherwise upward flowing water. Calling a computer artesian makes absolutely no sense.
Artesian builds is a good swimming pool installation company name.
THANK YOU, I thought I was the only one bothered by their nonsense brand name
They probably couldn't get the rights to the better name, so they took the lazy option of a word that sounds similar.
I always just assumed they built a lot of water cooled PC's, having never watched any of there content. I know I should never expect a businessperson to be clever though.
Karma might not necessarily be the implosion of the company which seemed to be inevitable, but rather the epic timing of it.
Sometimes karma hits you in the smallest bits that can and will escalate into a full-blown nuclear fallout lol
If Muta is honestly serious about starting his own PC building business, all I ask is... does he ship to Australia?
build your own pc
reducing voltage doesn't affect performance, it's when you reduce clock speed
I was going to say. There's circumstances where you can reduce voltage and get an increase in performance, but you have to balance clock speed and thermals, and a lot of luck in the silicon lottery.
The idea of having a PC that is built to be effective at running editing/Adobe programs and gaming is a huge appeal to me as someone who works with both. It always feels like I have to pick out a PC that is more effective for one or the other.
You just know that when Muda opens with a good old fashioned chuckle we are in for some goooood shit!
This was super crazy to see. I was just thinking of putting in an order for a pc from them.
I just think it's weird that the entire time Starlord was talking his buddy next to him wasn't like "hey you might wanna tone down the cringe a skosh" or maybe the entire time there was actually an inner monologue running of how much he hates his boss and how happy he was going to be to see him get absolutely rekt in the following days.
Probably would get put down or told not to talk over the arrogant CEO unless he's addressed.
I would love to buy my first gaming PC from muta if this turns into a potential business opportunity
Love how the title card is just Muta laughing at the 'SUS' in the text, you can show this to anyone and describe his entire channel and they'll have the full context of what it is about.
The worst part about this is the "custom PC" part. Listen; I'm not a very technical person but my friend was still able to teach me how to assemble a "custom PC" in about 3 hours. It's arguably just super sensitive Lego's. You just screw in and plug in components in order. I get that some people are successful enough to genuinely warrant simply paying someone to do that for you; but make no mistake: it is a luxury. The average person just needs to invest a few hours into reading and maybe invite a more knowledgeable and experienced friend over and buy them a night outs worth of food and drinks. You don't need to pay people like this the premium associated.
Yes. Yes. It's not necessarily that simple. Overclocking* is It's own thing. But that's arguably seperate from basic component assembly. But you know what. Plenty of people would gladly help you with that for a Benjamin. A lot less then what these guys are charging people.
