  • Hello guys and gals, it's me Mutahar again! This time we take a look at the infamous Tesla Model S jump that happened a few days ago and reflect on the sheer stupidity of the incident. Influencers are the dumbest breed of people to ever walk the Earth. Thanks for watching!

    I feel you for real, man. My girlfriend died in a car crash. It's been 12 years since then. And 5 years after that, my best friend from high school died in a motorcycle crash.
    It would be one thing if they were doing this in a controlled environment like a destruction derby or out in the middle of nowhere. But this is a goddamn neighborhood. Literally the first thing they tell you when you're learning to drive is "dont do stupid bullshit." And these people show a blatant disregard for that as well as a lack of respect for the lives around them.

    Adding another victim to these stupid clout chasers is the Tesla was rented from a person, not a company, on one of those apps that allow you to rent a person's car. So, several people had their cars damaged and at least two of them were totaled.
    The fact that the Tesla was rented on an app raises the questions of what kind of vetting does that app company do and why can't the cops get the info on who rented it? When you sign up to these car lending services you should have to give your license to prove you're legal to drive right? And there should be a DMV check by the app company right? And the cops should have gone directly to the app company to get that info right? So WTF is wrong with the cops that they can't connect the dots?

    • @themonsteraddictmmxvi1564
      @themonsteraddictmmxvi1564 Před 2 lety +6

      It takes a lot more time than people thing to obtain a warrant for data. Depends on where that data is stored in the first place; that app might not even store their own data and use another service or something. Bunch of messing around before they can get anywhere. It's like kids think they can just "get data off of an app" immediately, like it's as simple as jacking in their PoPoPhone into The Big Internet Machine and then downloading everything instantaneously

      LA is just fundamentally fucked up based on the single fact, that this mother of all urban sprawl is solely based on cars/roads for its infrastructure, which leads not only to very bad air quality, but also to an enormous waste of space for roads and parking lots but also high time bc travel times still tend to skale in with the size of this urban monstrosity that is LA. They have tried to combat more congestion with "simply more roads for decades", but it hasn't made the situtation any better, quite the opposite actually.

    At first I acted all nice and stuff, asking how their day was, etc etc. then when I was done, I told them I saw them shoplifting and I told them to give me their bag. I basically had to force it off them, and I did that sort of bad cop dumping all their shit out of the bag.
    Kicked around the contents that I wasn’t looking for, and I found an opened bottle of Mtn Dew with some pharmaceuticals dissolved in the bottle. Took the bottle, left the mess I made for them to clean up, and told them if I saw them again, I’d report them to the authorities. I swear, the entire store could hear me yell at them.
    I went as far as recording their license plate number for next time. Haven’t seen them since I scared them off

      The problem is that you have certain extreme situations where many agree its ok to revoke driving legally. But then, cause human nature is to take a mile when given an inch and keep on going, the goalposts get moved for more and more mild incidents.
      Then, since its the government controlling this driver's licencing, the law can be applied unevenly as a political weapon. Even im San Fransico, bearing a gun is a universal right, yet they refuse to give open carry permits unless you have connections. Or more likely politicians preaching safer roads as a way to crack down on controling peoples driving transportation and giving higher fees for less severe incidents to make more money.
      It see what you mean by saying that "if it even saves one life argument", but like with putting the speed limit to 5mph or locking everyone unwillingly indoors against disease, the overall cost wont work, especially if its used as a weapon against the public for years to come.
      Also since its rental tesla, it doesnt help cause someone else can just rent for them. So the real punishment is gonna be legal backlash in property damage and crimes, like injury or deaths, anyway. Which is more than enough to ruin most. But trying to take away driving can be just as easily a tool of tyranny against the innocent at least as much as for whatever justice it seeks to accomplish.
