Another performance by Congress for fundraising. It worked perfectly last time.
Robby’s always seems to rationalize state violence which is pretty strange for a libertarian
It cannot be denied that Fascism and similar movements aiming at the establishment of dictatorships are full of the best intentions and that their intervention has, for the moment, saved European civilization. The merit that Fascism has thereby won for itself will live on eternally in history. But though its policy has brought salvation for the moment, it is not of the kind which could promise continued success. Fascism was an emergency makeshift. To view it as something more would be a fatal error.
- Ludwig Mises
Mises, Hayek, Friedman all supported fascist use of government. Remember Friedman supported the Pinochet regime.
There is a difference between a classical libertarian and a US libertarian. And an even greater difference with one that supports the corporate apologist rag called „Reason.“
Idf chemicals? She is talking about a girl that was attacked and used pepper spray to repel her attacker.
Robby, again, adds nothing to the conversation.

The libertarian being ok with people living under oppression. What a clown he is.
Palestinians have been offered peace 7 times in the past 80 years and have rejected peace 7 times. They oppress themselves.
Self wrought…if they had chosen to live in peace instead of trying to kick all the Jews out of Israel none of this would have happened…they chose to make Gaza into a terror paradise forcing Egypt and Israel to defend their borders.

Robby showing his bias out in the open.
Robby seems to say that the killing by Hamas of possibly a few hundred Israeli civilians was extreme, but the IDF killing of tens of thousands of Gaza civilians was/is justified. How can he call Hamas terrorists while not also calling IDF and the armed settlers terrorists?

Thank you Ms. Grey for your insightful commentary. I watched the so-called Congressional testimony this morning and it was the standard nonsense: Congress members who ask questions but don't listen for answers. Instead of respectful discussion. Comrade Stefanik et al. prosecuted their tribunal as expected: grandstanding and pontificating on their high horses and using this as an opportunity to parade their self righteousness for all to see.
She right in what she is saying. This is the history. Israel think they can do whatever they want and have no consequences.
Robby caught red-handed w/ his Implicit Biases 😂

Robbie is a sad human being, just because it's people who don't look like him they shouldn't be allowed to violently resist. He thinks so low of the Palestinians that theyre not human enough to resist, he thinks they didn't think it through, that they'd rather fight and die than to be kept in chains as subhumans whilst watching your forefathers land being taken forcefully from you. Because Robbie doesn't understand what it means to fight and die for freedom if necessary, he doesn't understand what it means to be a human therefore one can't expect him to see the humanity in the Palestinians. That's my personal take anyway.

I watched a good bit if it. A little past the part where that christianist, bigot GOPer started quoting the bible. And that was repugnant to me. Talk about having no respect for the 1st Amend. Speaking of that. The GOPers on the committee as a group seemed to have no respect for The 1st. Or to say it the other way. I was sickened at the reality that so many Republicans seem to think it was appropriate for Congress to attempt to micromanage speech and what gets taught, and how faculty is hired, evaluated and possibly disciplined on college campuses. And as well, horrified at their desire to regulate student speech and conduct.
Don't get me wrong. I fully believe there is a point where speech is hate speech, and should be dealt with accordingly. But these Republican Reps think they get to tell everyone not only how to act but what to think. Despite the 1st Amendment, which says . . . no you don't.

Briahna exposed Robby’s racism in this episode.
There is no distinction between speaking with Robby and a 1 year old except that the 1 yr old child will eventually learn how to reason. I don’t mind that he has a different perspective but that he has no argument behind it (it’s all emotions).
It’s my understanding that Palestinians have been offered a two state solution yet they refuse. How then can they claim to be resistance fighters?
Brianna Joy Grey is awesome. How can she be so patient to his clear racism?
Drink every time Brie says "my parents were born into segregation"
on today's episode of Bri says "israel is bad"...
Brianna says that the Palestinians had a legal right to resist.
Fair.
Does that legal right
to resist
extend to attacking noncombatants and kidnapping noncombatants ?
The answer, universally, no.
When someone has such a deep need to be right regardless of the evidence, combined with a refusal to apologize or to say she was wrong,
what results is in somebody being locked into a public expression they may no longer agree with.
Brianna spoke very badly in dog whistle language after October 7.
Whenever noncombatants are explicitly targeted by individual combatants, regardless of what else is going on, any decent person would condemn that first and foremost with maximum vociferous before describing what the terrorists’ thought process was.
If she regrets it now, there may be no way that she would allow herself to amend her previous public statements.
She did not realize at the time that it would have been perfectly acceptable to condemn, without dog whistles, and in the harshest language, Hamas’ actions, and then,
in a completely separate thought thread,
express how Israel and Hamas got to the point where they are right now.
How hard would it have been to do that at the time, or, to do it a couple of weeks later when she realized how vicious and unfortunate her initial take was?
A smart woman like that ought to do better.
Even now she isn't condemning Oct 7th, goes to show how much she's blinded by hate.
Those who control the laws don't give legal rights to resist oppression.
Ironically, the IHL gives the occupying power to defend itself as well.
This conversation, a teacher protecting a school against a politician is difficult to listen too, students must compare and contrast ALL claims and learn to make a conclusion based on truth and fairness, should not be a unusual task for a college president

I see Bri- this conversation was supposed to be about students (both American & Foreign) at Columbia University being targeted for their Jewish identity- and she needs to talk about anything but that. Of course, none of you see anything wrong with that.
Robby is right. What was the use of oct 7? Gaza has lost the game 30-1. Want to play how many more games you nitwits?
President, board and trustees must resign and be hauled to court. They are resistant.
In no moral system is violent resistance expressed by targeting individual noncombatants. That is terrorism.
Violent resistance is expressed by targeting military targets including combatants.
Brianna, you’re a highly educated person.
The Civil War was a war of combatants.
The American revolutionary war was a war of combatants.
Civilians die in war but primarily war is amongst combatants, not noncombatants.
Of course Brianna knows this, and it appears Robbie is choosing his battles otherwise each segment would last an hour.

Just watch the testimony for yourself. It was overwhelmingly bi-partisan critique of Columbia's anti-semitism. The "chemical attack" was addressed in the hearing as well. Stefanik played a minor role in today's hearing (you have to watch the whole hearing). Columbia's leadership was exposed today not as flippant (the way Harvard and Penn were) but as impotent and leaderless. The Hill supports vicious anti-semite who conflates and gaslights actual arguments and evidence from the hearing today.
you have to be better than our other human ancestors
She is absolutely right.
Brianna takes a leap to draw an unsupported conclusion that maybe a lot of folks missed starting here 4:30
She says that the claim that a professor expressed anti-Semitic sentiments to a Jewish student suggests embellishment because nothing was done about it by the university.
If it happened one on one, then it’s a he said she said, which is a much more likely reason for nothing to have been done about it- you can’t discipline or fire a professor for being offensive in private because there are no corroborating witnesses.
In using this argument, by extension, Brianna could easily be saying that a victim of a particular kind of transgression (that is said to sometimes happen at college between the genders) is embellishing if the college doesn’t do anything to discipline the person being accused.
Just because you can’t prove something because there are no witnesses and no lasting evidence,
does that mean that the allegation is more likely than not to be an embellishment regardless of what is being alleged, Brianna, or no?
Bri did you watch the live video on the Jamas attack on 10/7? You must not have
"People that have a legal right to resist occupation, who manifested that right?" @BJGray are you suggesting that Oct 7th attack was HMS's legal right?
According to the Geneva conventions, it was the right of an occupied population to conduct military attacks on military targets. A lot more happened on October 7, including war crimes against innocent Israelis… just clarifying the actual international law on this.
@@mediablindspots Hi, the Geneva conventions and it's superset the International Humanitarian Law, very explicitly forbid harming civilians from the get go, which includes both the innocent Palestinians and Israelis. *There is no excuse to what happened on 10/7 just as there is no excuse to what's Isrel is doing right now.*
Moreover, the ICJ ruled in its 2004 advisory opinion that _"Israel could not invoke _*_Article 51_*_ against a threat coming from an occupied territory over which it has control_ but that it has the right to respond with actions in conformity with applicable international law". So Isreal has full rights to defend it's military as well.
The Geneva conventions / IHL exist to protect civilians or non-combatants on both sides, *not justify one side over the other...* just clarifying the actual international law on this 🙂
@@babyqueenxoI agree with your emboldened statement as it is idealistic, but to be fair, Israel is the one who erased respect for international law by not only killing Palestinians from 2008-Oct 7 2023 but also continuing to seize territory in the West Bank. In such a scenario, why should h4m4ss make a distinction especially since every Israeli civilian is to/currently serve in the IDF?
