Engineers are very rational. Managers are not. There is nothing more miserable than being rational in an irrational environment. I once wrote a memo to upper management concerning the probability of a catastrophic failure of a product we were building. The memo went up the food chain to the top boss. I never heard back, but a friend of mine was able to get my memo out of the manager's desk. I was shocked to see at the top of the memo the manager wrote and initialed "I agree with the engineer, but don't tell him."
Attention American government: We will have more confidence in Boeing and flying when you take Boeing's crimes more seriously and hold managment and CEO's accountable for human lives being lost and put in danger. You are also responsible for this situation.

Privatization of safety regulation, reduction of regulatory agencies and allowing corporations to self regulate will eventually kill someone. Stop gutting the agencies with the specialists who study and train to keep us safe.
I was on a plane with a cracked window. They stopped us from taking off to have it looked at and determined we could fly to Costa Rica and back and we'd be safe still. It was alarming.

As an American citizen I want to thank all involved for demonstrating bipartisan respect and integrity in dealing with an important problem. In recent times I have cringed at some of the irresponsible actions we witnessed on both the far right and far left. It’s great to see an example of our elected representatives getting on with the job.

Exactly, The problem comes from the management of the companies and the FAA's and they all need and should've been prosecuted by the DOJ but when Billions of Dollars are involved then bribes are paid under the table and everything gets bashed under the carpet.

I last sat in a 787 and some liquid hopefully water was leaking on my head the entire flight of 9 hours. I was sitting at the exitseat. So after telling that to the flight attendant before the take-off she told me: oh it's nothing is just some water from the air-conditioning and it will disappear after the take-off. After it kept leaking liquid in my head long after the take-off she told me ok you can sit somewhere else if you want. Lol

With all the non-stop Boeing problems in the news it's just a matter of time before a Boeing aircraft is lost along with all of its passengers.

I would say late August or early September will be the time for that Boeing 757 structural failure at 35,000 feet.

The FAA is crap and so is NTSB!! They have plenty of inspectors but the inspectors must do their job and INSPECT! There must be checks/balances...accountability.

What does DEI have to do with anything but making sure the goalpost not moved. Just listen to good people that bring up deficiencies. Keeping your job is not the main consideration at expense of endangering lives, due to good old boy incompetance. Safety was skirted in challenger fiasco that eliminated that program due to risk of further deaths. That untimely concern affected and delayed the entire manned space program.
