poor old liam... its good to have a chelsea fan on the youtube who can speak about it all in a realistic honest manner and be a voice for the rest of us who arent actually self entitled and watched us slowly growing better before any hint of russia, those were the good times.. playing tromso in the snow while swedish fans watched standing on a hill.. vialli and zola smashing in the orange ball.. beer sponsors on baggy shirts.
Anyway.. once we get the right manager who instills a bit of fight we can start again... and all the sad little glory hunter fans will be gone.

The weird thing about all this is, as Chelsea fans we have to answer so many questions on why the team is shit, what is our style of play, why are players out of position. But when we ask those same questions towards Pochettino we are called impatient, privileged and harsh by the same people.

You say Chelsea are no where near a Europa spot but we are only 5 points behind West Ham with 3 games in hand. 8 points behind united with 1 game in hand who we have to play and they also have to play Liverpool which they will probably lose. That could be a 6 point swing.

Could have covered the lack of conversion chances by the strikers and midfield. Bizarre player selections and game shape roles. The hesitation to give bench players opportunities even during: poor performances, injuries, load management issues, execution of game expectations. Leadership, spine, never-ending turmoil or crisis.
Young, less experienced players have consistently succeeded at great odds: Palmer, Gusto, Petrovic. These three have inate, mystic, magic, wow factors, game changing moments without too many yellow cards. Where others have waxed, waned or not delivered: Disasi, Badiashile, Colwill, Madueke, Mudryk and Jackson.
Silva is banished - too old, too slow, sit deeper, taking another player out of attack or retaining for protection. Yet we are still conceding or not scoring or not defending set pieces or tracking or being too easily exposed when pressed. Player quality, maturity, confidence, ability, coaching, measuring up to expectations, team spine and leadership. A dark, murky transition period when our key captain and vice captain are not in the line-up. Sadly after 2 1/2 yrs, the inability or reluctance to sign a certified center forward.
Revenue generation will be difficult: mid table at best, no European soccer, lack of big sponsors, inability to continue to entice better playes and coaches. Little money from EFL & FA & Charity Shield Cup. Consequently Chelsea will have to sell some of its attractive assets to raise capital to balance the books.
Since January we have not progressed. At the worse possible time - injuries, international break, player load management, inexplicably losing to teams with their own set of challenges, we are faced with a stretch of games every 3 days. How will fragile Chelsea fare?

I'm an Arsenal fan, so I wouldn't complain at all! Roman Abramovich basically killed the integrity of the league when he bought Chelsea. He opened to floodgates for ridiculous spends in the transfer window, for state funded countries with awful human rights records to start buying clubs, and for there to now be a massive disconnect between the "big 6"/Newcastle and the rest of the league.
I never heard discussions about financial fair play or profit and sustainability regulations before Abramovich. This is why I cringe, laugh and groan whenever I hear anyone talk about "the integrity of the league". That hasn't existed for over 20 years, and you can trace it back to Chelsea.

Honestly, I think Poch needs to start taking responsibility for his repeated failures. Not bringing through Gilchrest was a mistake. Rushing back Reece was a mistake (3 full games, you've got to be kidding). Prioritizing Disasi at CB over Colwill with the possibility of playing Gilchrest LB was a mistake. Gallagher as captain is frankly an insult to Silva. Our reliance in attack on Gallagher is a mistake (love Gallagher as an exceptional squad player). Benching Mudryk, time and time after good and even match winning performances, is a mistake because the player needs to build confidence, and when he deserves the start he should get minutes. Playing Sterling for 9 games straight despite poor performances was a mistake when you have Palmer, Madueke and Mudryk who could play there. Selling RLC and Pulisic was a mistake. Selling Gilmour was a mistake. Idk, its a long list.

Total rubbish analysis regarding on-field issues. All excuses. No proper context on why Potter did not succeed, also on how Poch has never proven himself to be successful managing big clubs (PSG does not count, even a teenager with Football Manager experience can win with that squad).
One would think they have nostalgia of Poch's spurs style of play and wishing he could somehow replicate that with this patchwork Chelsea team.
Regarding their analysis on off-field issues, failure to analyse why were the past corporate management decisions made, which resulted in the on-field issues, is appalling. Just focusing on: 'club is in crisis, they must sell and that will make things worse' is very shallow analysis.

Its the same chat. Over and over again. Ad infinitum. Its back to basics for me. Team shape, backing other players up. Winning ugly. The more we can improve defensively the better, the more we will have a chance. Silva is 39 years old, in most other leagues he's coaching not playing. The fact that the other teams mentioned are able to generate money from their stadiums, while Chelsea still play in the same stadium ken bates used to own says it all. The academy graduates coming through aren't as good as before and simply put the team transfer profile is all wrong.

I'm young enough to remember the Tom Docherty era so I have been through the somewhat good and really bad times and all I can say is that this is the only time I have ever seen a club ruin a successful club to a weak one by the way the owners run and made changes to the club.
It would be best that we keep on losing. This would then result in the new owners probably being forced to sell simply because they paid £4.5 billion and the longer we are doing bad, it'll mean the club loses it's value and this is no good to Clear Lake because Chelsea needs to win in order to make the investment viable or at least force a change at board level and undo the sh!t show that Todd was responsible for.
Chelsea are the most successful team in London as we do hold two Champions League titles and will appeal to many people or at least for the owners to run the club the way it was previously but more sustainably so that the club is competitive etc

However, No manager wants to deal with 20+ under 23s with any level of expectation on them. I don’t think anyone has had such a situation thrust into them so quickly since the Munich Air Disaster and that was an entirely different set of circumstances. I can’t blame Pochettino for it being bad but I don’t think he knows the solution or can reach it. Whether that’s a sackable offence is up to Chelsea fans and their board.

you can be as confident as it gets but that wont change the skills or intelligence you are lacking. it's counterproductive for players like sterling to aim for the golden ball, come on, it's because of those ludicrous ideas that some players are inconsistent as hell. Imagine starting a season thinking you will be the best in the world, and then having a few bad games - all of a sudden the motivation is lost and downward spiral begins. looking from outside, players like rashford would be far better and more consistent if they were realistic about what they bring to the team. To be humble is far more powerful, a guy like Modric keeps it humble and voila - he gets what he deserves. sterling golden ball LOL LOL ROFL, never; even in his best seasons.
