Ft450. What you get for $2650. The good and the not so good. Please share my video. This video will clear up a lot of questions many have about the Fueltech FT450
I'm a big Honda guy! Love the eg, I got a body kit for an eg hatch. I traded an old pool table for it. I'm currently driving a 1991 Integra LS with 190,000 km on it.

Very good video! Congrats! One correction though, you absolutely don’t have to choose fueltech sensors, they read virtually any sensor, including oem, they even have plug and play converters for a bunch of cars
Maybe there new gen2 FT450 will. My tuner and I could not get them to read. It even says in my manual "must use GM sensors" I called Manny ext 2007 at fueltech and he told me the same thing, but this was 4 years ago so who knows? I don't doubt you though. It's a weird deal?
What color are you going to paint it? Since you went over your goal you should pick out some really nice paint. You know what would look awsome on this car? That really bright orange that came on the early dodge challangers and dodge darts. Then get your self some brakes and black rims off of a new Honda civic type r. I think some new oem modern civic wheels would look awsome.
Editors correction: the FT450 will run full sequential if you do not use there A harness. The FT A harness is wired for non sequential and waisted spark.
@@jimhiscott2918 What is your reasoning for the change of heart to get the 550? I'm considering a 450 to get me in the door and up and running. I figured if I needed more later I could get the Input Expander Module. Its tough to take that hit of the 550 as it is $700 more almost double the cost. Just asking not saying your right or wrong. 😁
@@steves759 The FT450 is very limited on inputs and output to run sensors and nessasary accessories. Running waisted spark is not ideal, neither is non sequintail injection. Now if you are not running a Turbo with a few accessories you can wire up the FT450 full sequential that is very much ideal. My Instagram is the best way to chat. I have studied up of Fueltech and gained great knowledge of there products. Hiscottjim is my Instagram. My identification icon on instagram is a picture of a Tan dogs head. Look for the Red Civic. I would be very happy to help you👍
A plating company called me from up north and offered to zinc plate everything. 52 pounds of hardware. He does not do personal plating. Only for high quantity large companies. Why he offered to plate mine I'm not sure but he was a very nice man. Google search zinc plating and you will find plenty of business that do smaller qualities. Ask dor "barrel plating" it is the most affordable.
Since I live in South Florida, no one does it down here and it’s extremely hard. I have a bucket that I just wanna get done. I’ll keep looking. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.
I am acually running 3. Mu mistake. Air intake temperature, oil pressure and water temperature. I thought about running oil temperature but see no need. The MAP sensor is internal on Fueltech systems. It's on the back of the display.
The Fueltech A harness is $$600 and I highly recommend it. You can buy there unterminated wire harness you can build yourself for under $100 however if your not extremely good and figuring, terminating and building wiring harnesses I very much recommend spending the $600. I myself couldn't build a harness
It's off to paint at Hybrid Racing on the 18th. Then we assemble enginecand electricals. From there we are off to Fueltch to be tuned. It will tune and run like a champ. The engine and fuel system is built to handle 700hp however to retain reliability 550hp will be the goal. At first I was at a loss understanding the new fueltech system but I got it down now. I do have to deal with waited spark and batch injection (not happy about that) but it will perform fine for my application. My advice. Get the FT550. The FT550 is a much more versatile unit. I should have went 550
God bless you and your family!
Thank you sincerely for your blessings.
Thanks Jim

Oem R-81. The engine bay is painted and clear coated Dove grey

That's correct. I should have gone 550. I would run out of inputs and outputs

No. Dont remove the white tooth as I explained in the video. It is not the correct one to remove
What are the 5 sensors that you showed at the begining that you have to buy from FT?

There's a channel I watch called vice grip garage derrek buys cars left for dead and gets them running after sitting for years
I love that show
Editors Note: What I couldn't think of is "Waisted Spark"
Wasted*
So I pretty much don't need a factory engine harness?

No. If you don't have a harness you can use the Fuetech A harness. I think you can pin a honda oem harness into a fueltech. I'm really notbsure

B18b1 bottom end CSS and full off bullet parts. The head is all ferrara 6000 including valve guides and valve seats by 4P. It is capable of 600.
fueltech is from Brazil give more respect
