I am Jim. Hello friends. I look forward to your comments and commenting on your videos. I'm 54 years old, live in Louisiana unfortunately and am battling terminal cancer. I love my wife and my 6 rescue dogs. I enjoy building Sport Compact cars. I raced MX and Sport Bike in sanctioned events almost my entire life so I got some pretty solid ground to stand on when it comes to bikes or cars. I am a retired engineer, composite and metal fabricator however the composite side of things is where I have my most experience. Metal not so much.

I know I know. I mumble horrible. I am so sorry. I mean I can't understand what I was saying. I came back later and rook the pump out. I needed a puller. It was almost . it was stuck. tomorrow WE WILL get the new pump in. I am doing this free for my sister❤

The car is coming along well. unfortunately finances are not. new cancer medication are killing the my insurance does not cover. Still going forward with the dream. everyone has done all they can for me. I'm really hurting. physically and financially.

Installing the lexan windows were a lot more difficult then I expected, however I think I made them difficult by using thread-serts and installing the windows as perfect as possible. ot turnd out beautiful. so much carbonfiber👍

This will inform you on what you can expect from VI.S. Lots of modifications are needed for a good fit. The tail lights don't fit at all. This video is part 1#. I will be making a part 2# very soon. Be sure and watch it. it will truly help you with the battle of China engineering.

@@adamhenderson5844 Finishing up the the car. No more out going money thank the lord. I just need to finish the front Splitter and a dozen lose ends. I am absolutely exhausted and the cancer center that is a 130 mile round trip has me coming in 4 times this month. I am going to call them to consolidate my visits. I cant afford that much travel
I hear you. My wife is doing slightly better now. Leg is still completely numb. But she is walking around the house with a cane now VRs a walker. I have been waiting an entire month for an MRI to figure out what the spot on my left femur bone is. The wait is driving my anxiety points higher. Best thing for long drives is kick ass music and looking at the nature.

@@melvindersingh200 I think? and I am only speculating Melvinis asking why money is an issue and where did it go. I guess that's his question. Well sir. I asked for 20k and got 60k. When I seen this I immediately closed the gofundme account. I nearly died from shock. The car was well near $40k, I had a $27k balance on my property. I paid it off so now my wife I will leave behind will not have a mortgage. I oweded $12.5 in medical. Paid that. I lived another year, my hospital debt is a rediculous $14k again.....and that's after insurance. Anymore questions feel free to ask....I'm right here!

@@Rogue_Wave5150 I don't know much about Acuras. Bradd said it's supposed to have a B18c in it but the chassis is GSR. I will ask him more about it. He took me for a ride. I do know it's a solid driver and vtec hits hard.

i dont know your story at all. if you have/had cancer, i wish all the best to you, and its absolutely horrific that we continue to vote in a government that ignores REAL people's bankruptcy's that happen hundreds of times per day. all that said, gofund me is the biggest scam there is in our society. i wish you all the best for your future.
@@JeanSchlemaan my gofundme was fare. I received everything donated. I even donated to a little 7 year old girl who needed a lung transplant. My cancer is fatal. It's just a matter of time. Indocrine Lymphoma is through the entire body. It never goes away and continues to deteriorate. September I have Mri and CT scans again. We will see where we are at then

Still pay for the room for extended stays, and you can easily die before ever even seeing a doctor. I've been giving wr hell to finish my malibi the last couple years. Time waits for no man ;)

Jim, Sorry for not writing in a while we have had one hell of time. On May Thursday the 17th my wife and got rear ended at a stop sign. She was doing ok the first night, by Sunday we were at the ER she was in great pain, and had odd feelings in her left foot, CT showed L4/5 herniated disk, pain meds, told to see a PT. 3 days later half her leg was numb, ER again. Treated like she a pill seeker, Dr made her feel like she was making it up. Saturday she could not go to the bathroom, and her entire left leg and hip was numb. Long story short, 3rd ER trip she was diagnosed with CES, Her L4-5 disc had gotten shoved into her spinal cord. 9 hours later she was having emergency spinal surgery. June 8th she was 24 hours from release to home to start 6 months or more of PT to learn to walk and all. Well she got sick, turns out she was septic, and had a pulmonary embolism. She was in critical condition. 2 more operations later and a total of 28 days in the hospital she is home. She has a long road ahead. But she is determined to get as much as she can back to normal and live life to the fullest. Hope all is well with you.... take care friend.

@@jimhiscott2918 We are doing ok. Good days and bad get mixed together. I am sure you understand that. Life can suck sometimes but other times the small things make it wonderful. The night before one of her 3 surgeries we watched the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen from the 5th floor of hospital. One hell of a view and we didn't say a word. Just watched it. it was a great moment. Stuff like that makes a difference.

Just hot. The heat is bìack again. I been having a very difficult time with my welder. He's fightin some personal battles larely.
I should had said more. My walking is horrible however not cancer related at all. Inwas a athlete my entire life. I plade some AA decades ago but bodybuilding for 23 years as heavy as I could go was foolish. I greatly regtret it I added 110 pounds to a 132 pound frame ending up at 242 pounds for years. Just destroyed all my joints . It was extremely foolish and don't recommend it 😒

@jimhiscott2918 oh good buddy I didn't want you to crash that or have an accident with the amount of structural compromise going on there. You could cut the floor then and use ally sheets to save some weight. Or do the old fashioned shell over tubular frame if you where so inclined

Jim....those trumpets on the top of the rocker cover.... are those like built in weber 45s or something? Ive never seen anything like that. Like no inlet, just super direct on top! - this build honestly is legacy.

Yes sir. Good question. I keep it covered to protect the fins. Lot of traffic in my shop. When I get the ARF mixer worked out and the bumper on I'll take the protection off.
