Kane's initial unmasked run was massively underrated imo. He went from being a masked silent killer in the same vein as Jason Voorhees/Michael Myers to being an emotionally unstable psychopath. Glenn Jacobs played the roles to perfection despite the fact he was a victim of some awful booking and storylines.

My favorite versions will always be 1997-2000 where he was literally a horror movie villain come to life, 2001-2002 where he was the strong silent type and showed how much a pure wrestler he was, 2003-2004 where the character was revealed to internally scarred and everyone should feel his pain, 2010 where he had a successful storyline where he looking for his brother’s attacker but, it turned out to him and went on to win the big gold belt and beat Undertaker 3 times, and 2012-2014 where he found himself again and revealed he was locked in a basement as a child. Glen Jacobs you can easily tell he was very easy to work with and he was definitely a team player

The original "Silent but Violent Monster" is my personal favorite. I started to really get into wrestling at the beginning of The Attitude Era where Kane debuted in but also, he was portrayed as an "opposite but just as equal & just as dark" version of his "brother" The Undertaker. The Undertaker would enter on shutting out the lights then his fabled funeral bell gong with a blue hue that would light the stage & ring, Kane's entrance back then was a mirror image to The Undertaker's in contrast. For Kane the lights would go out as well but, his intro would start with a haunting organ playing then the stage & ring would slowly start to light up in red hue(in contrast to The Undertaker's blue hue) and, "hellfire" would erupt from the stage as he marched to the ring like a machine hell bent on destroying it. His going through phases just like his brother The Undertaker shows that "Kane" has ALWAYS followed after his big brother like a little brother would in one way or another. Our fallen morticious Paul Bearer would be proud of both of his boys... As he rightfully should be... 😔
