    What you guys did not mention is that on the Reloop Elite, you can use Serato effects with standard viny. Every single one. That's the only mixer that has that feature I believe and it kills any hardware effects the S9 may tout.

    @Digital DJ Tips, at @27:43 or so Steve says "If I was presenting "Top Gear" that is the way I'd describe it." You two are the "Top Gear" hosts of the Dj realm! You may not be called "Top gear," but you definitely are putting DJ gear through its paces like former hosts Clarkson, May, or Hammond put cars through theirs 🤣. Cheers guys. This was extremely helpful. I just pulled the trigger on a gently used Reloop "Elite" mixer because of your excellent review. Thank you.

    If they make a mk3 version of these decks I’d love it if they put the pitch vertically (where the logo is) then they could make a much bigger screen. Also it would be easier to access the pitch rather than reaching over the tonearm. Vestax had a deck like that years ago & Numark had one where you could unscrew & move the pitch from regular to the vertical position. The TTX I think it was.

    @DanielleKingdjdinosaur Před 4 lety +4

    i used pioneer and its a great brand but when it comes to the s9 it has been overtaken .Also pioneer is overpriced and part of that is the name .The s9 is a great mixer but has its faults like the price and the paint has a habit of flaking off especially around the crossfader.I used pioneer with the first cdjs and then the scratchable follow ups and an early four channel mixer which is probably still being used somewhere.I jumped ship when other brands started to innovate in a direction i liked .I never liked pioneers static jogs and turntable technology also made some leaps like the Stanton STR8 series .I had some rather pretty decks with master tempo which was odd on a vinyl deck.Later this was dumped as dvs took over and software did that instead.Those decks had reverse ,straight tone arm, a wide pitch range and 33 45 78 so i could play my partners old 78 records and even quite warped records would play because of the straight tone arm which tracked better though it was potentially harder on your vinyl so a good stylus and cartridge was needed.Pioneer were stubborn about those static jogs and then when turntables didnt die out and actually became popular again they brought out rwhat seemed to be a poor afterthought of a range of turntables just to cover all bases.Pioneers dominance has at times been a bit much .Also there needs to be more stuff like Numarks new mixer as not every new dj wants controllers or cdjs but gear is bonkers in terms of pricing.I wonder how kids that want to do turntablism manage to get a decent set up that wont leave them totally broke for months

I would only buy a setup like this, if I was VERY serious about "turntablism". I don't like having to depend on a software or computer for my gigs. @@digitaldjtips You said the turntables we're turned 45 degrees. They are turned 90 degrees.

      Ah, gotcha! Yeah, and I didn't even realise when you pointed it out! It's because they spin 45 records, that'll be it! :D

    sorry, but in every video about turntables I get the feeling that you have something against Technics ...
    I bought a new pair of mk7 and the turntables are great. The tonearm is of high quality, the new engine concept and the pitch are a dream. Even though the RP 8000 has great midi features, a super OEM never gets the Technics quality. The new MK7 has become a very good turntable again. And just as real vinyl records are used, you can forget about the pitch of the Reloop .... That goes for all Super OEM with digital pitch. But keep talking Technics bad, the turntable is still sold out all over the world: P And we'll see which turntable will have a better resale value in a few years. By the way the ELITE mixer is a great product ;)

      Cool, we have nothing against Technics, I think my 1210 Mk2s are the best turntables ever made, just think the 1210 Mk7s are not so good, especially in loud clubs.

      I used technics for over 20 years until they gave out on me. So guess what? Being that it was mid 90's and I didn't want to spend that much money on turntables, I bought a pair of gemini pdt6000's. And in my opinion, they were as good or BETTER than the 1200's -- at less than half the price! Other dj's as well confirmed how good these units were.
      Point being, I no longer view 1200 as the go-to turntable anymore, especially nowadays with so many options. And let's not even start on the PRICE.

      We have nothing against Technics, we just think this is a duff and overpriced turntable. Mk2s are wonderful.

      @@digitaldjtips Yeah I loved my 1210''s. And I was a little sooped up because I was stationed in Germany in '83 so I was able to buy them before most dj's in the states. When I got back, all the dj's were sweatin' my turntables
      However, if I wanted to buy turntables today, I wouldn't even look at technics. My first choice would be this reloop 8000.

      @@DJActionVasquez as long as you want to play only with dvs you can certainly do that, for all those who buy a turntable in order to also play vinyl, I can not recommend the super OEM turntable.

    Tip for guy on left "try talk a bit less"...
    If your gonna bring a guest in to explain things, then why would you talk for him the whole interview? Give him a chance to really explain things. We don't care who is talking as long as we get the info!
