    That efx cut sounds almost like the ol’ phono line switches except with a fader... interesting! The double cutting switches on the Gemini’s, Stanton’s, and 57 sounded to fast. With a fader there’s more control.. that’s dope.

    Just to be clear, because I think it was mentioned in the video, you can use the affects this unit has for vinyl as well??

    Riddle me that front of the mixer volume control for auxiliary?
    Could I run - say - a pioneer sampler as "aux" and have it be a sorta silent 3rd channel that doesn't need fader controls, or does it take up a channel?

    • @stonecollins3286
      @stonecollins3286 Před 4 lety

      DJ3 B-Side yes you could. It’s a 3rd channel with no fader control. Just the volume knob on the front

    Great set up. I’m seriously looking at this, but want a Rane Twelve on one side. Want to ditch tone arms+cartridges, but those extra pads on these TTs are very appealing. Q. On the RP8000, can one turntable play both decks? Are they switchable?

      You could use these with the Phase Bluetooth Remotes...I've been seeing more DJs use em since the December update!

      @@phubeats I bought 1 x RANE TWELVE and REALLY like it. If I'm going to buy something for the other side then an RP8000 is on the radar as I like the buttons.

      Same situation w me..wanna ditch the tonearm/needle , mostly because of the calibration & interference I get on stage with my band & shakey bass. But being able to switch notes and scales & plug and play w a midi controller has me sold I think

      @@DjSuess certainly take a look at the new Rane Twelve MkII. Interference/vibration is a thing of the past with that product. It's great.

    Is the Elite worth an upgrade from the Numark Scratch? I' m just a bedroom DJ and sometimes record some cuts for my own productions. I find the trigger pads on the Scratch a little bit small and don' t like that the pads only light up in red. Elite is 899€ atm here in Germany.

    • @djkit
      @djkit Před 3 lety +1

      Great question! The Elite does have bigger pads than the Numark Scratch, and a few more features so it is definitely worth looking in to upgrading!

    Mentions that you can charge your phone but no mention (that I heard) about how you can control a midi keyboard with it..

  • @gaarakabuto1

    A great trend that i keep seeing in all these high end 2c mixers is that people are really getting overwhelmed by the applications the mixer has,even though none really is able to use them live on stage.
    I had a friend that used to roll on S-9 for years till he realised that for the most part all he used was the kill switch and the pads,90% of the extra stuff they've got were rarely used and if so,mostly just for the gimmicks.

    • @djkit
      @djkit Před 4 lety +1

      Fair point, but surely having the features there and having the choice whether to use them or not is better than not having them at all?

    • @gaarakabuto1
      @gaarakabuto1 Před 4 lety

      @@djkit No doubt,my suggestion was to make things more accessible in cost of some less used features.
      At the end of the day there are DJs like DJ Angelo that will use wtv there is,but for most DJs i think accessibility should be asked a bit more.
