Nice video cheers, unable to get to the show so thanks for posting. I want one, just enough to have fun without going mad.
Having sat on one at motorcycle live, I desperately need to buy one!
Ah just bought this as my first bike! Cant wait to get it :)
I took a demo ride on the 2018. SIGNIFICANT suspension changes and so much better. Also appreciate the more serious grown-up looks of the thing. I'm 200 lb rider and the suspension was so much better.
The suspension was a concern at 200 plus. Picked up a leftover 18 last friday. Now if old man winter would leave.
FairPlay Janis! Really professional video👌🏻 nice one
+xDBR thanks appreciate the support
Cool vid man! Very pro!
+MickFist thanks
Need more footage of the bike
Great video. After 4 months I am allowed to follow this channel :)
Watch24Hour Why you couldn't before?
M 310, because then will be my MT-07 2018 model delivered :)
Watch24Hour nice 👐
3 months or 3 half =)
I'm curious to see how much will bolt onto the first gen from this new version.
Would have been nice to have a LED headlight as well tail .I love Yamaha always delivered good value for money.
Paul The Grump it has led for daylight driving
Dutch Moto
Nice
I find most LEDs headlights don't suffice, my Honda CB500F has LED headlights and they're pretty bad, doesn't help that my car has quad HID projectors. Kinda wish I got it a year earlier which came with halogens, so I can retrofit a HID with projectors.
LEDs are more of a gimmick, it hasn't been fully well developed. I've notice many scooters with leds are not as bright as comparison to a better performance halogen bulbs.
When I say bright, I mean output to the road and not when you're staring to the bulbs bright
I wonder if you guys can help me out here. The white colour is not being sold in EU it seems? Which sucks as i think it is by far the best one. Is there any chance that a Yamaha dealer can get a white coloured one to EU if i ask them, or is this just out of the question?
Hi, will a 5'11" inch / 1,81cm fit on it? Will the latest model look better?
Hey - how can I contact you privately
Where can you buy your zip hoodie ?
does this bike have a slipper clutch?
Did it have slipper clutch?
nice content.. say can it swap the the whole body parts for the previous model?
+sobering cat I would imagine so from looking at it
So sad no slipper clutch.
What exactly do they mean by "a more sportier ride" in the front? Does that mean that stiffened up the damping and compression? I hope it's not the springs, because I found the front springs to be slightly too stiff but the damping way too soft, and I'm 92kgs with gear on. Luckily the fix for that is cheaper than trading in the old one for a new one. Good looking bike, though I find the tail section a little funky, I liked the older tail better.
92 kg riding weight? The stock springs were designed for someone 78-80 kg weight. They dove too much. Also damping has increased, ie. does something when the forks stroke.
Hi guys.
Been thinking of getting a Mt07 or Mt09.
I havent been biking much but my last bike was a 05Hayabusa and my current bike is a Trophy 1200.
Both those bikes just made me miss my old Tuono Factory.
Im a 340lbs very athletic guy.
I find the 700cc paralell twin bike more appealing as a fun little commuter.
But is it going to be too small for me at 340lbs ?
Any heavy guys out there that ride smaller bore bikes ?
Too small
How can it be too early to say prices. I bet the price was sorted out and confirmed ages ago!
+ru55e11 the bike isn’t in production yet, they probably have a figure in mind and we’ll find out in the next few weeks.
I have paid 7999,00€ for mine
ru55e11 It’s going to be 500 euro’s more in 2018..... darm it.
Dutch Moto Waar dan? De 2018 is nog niet te koop...
Mischa de Bruijn I pre-ordered one.
Can you tell me if the new mt07 still has the rubber washers to damping the the handle bar vibrations.Just that I don't like the back and foward movement of the handle bars on the current model it really puts me off buying one
+simon40sp that’s a good question.... I will find out for you tomorrow.
Cheers would love to know
simon40sp just use a solid connector
I dont like it for the simple reason they change how the back seat used to look like the backseat from the r6
Awesome video!
Would you say a restricted MT-07 2018 would be a good choice for an A2 rider?
Another question - i will be geting my A2 license in april 2018, should i go to a dealer, and preorder the bike, how hard is it gonna be to get hands on early off?
+Theo Sunde in our opinion the MT-07 is the perfect bike for an A2 rider. Your best bet is to contact your local dealer and speak to them about order numbers ect.
I have bought the new MT-07 35kW a week ago. I did a pre-order at te dealership. They told me it is comming out in march 2018. I bet the first ones will be sold out soon and than u have to wait new batch comming in august. Thats the reason i pre-ordered it. ( 35kW tech black)
Cool Dutch, can you tell me - what colour options were available for you? I really dig the new white for 2018... It is mentioned in many reviews. However it seems not to be available in EU? On Yamaha's website they only mention Blue, black and light fluo? What is up with that, the white looks stunning!
Grey with yellow, Tech black, Yamaha blue with black, white is only in Usa
i owned a white bike, its getting all dirty and reflect the sunlight directly. I don't recommend
I wonder if the new one will rust like the old one. I'm on my second swingarm which has been on the bike 4 months and is rusting along the weld again. Just noticed a nice bit of rust on my rear shock aswell. I had a Chinese pit bike that didn't corrode as bad as my mt-07. And before anyone says it, I use my bike maybe once a week, it's never out in the winter or wet weather and it's thoroughly cleaned and lubricated after every ride. Very poor quality. It's a shame when it's such a fun bike to ride. Was considering the mt09 as a replacement but think I will look elsewhere. Yes it's a budget bike but it's still a yamaha.
its the first time I heard this kind of issues with the mt family. being on mt owner forum for years now and no one experience what you said. maybe you got a bad product. contact your 3S dealer for that. just becuase your bike like that doean't mean you can judge the whole yamaha line up.
@@afletra lots of people on the internet with similar issues.
@KnivesNGunsBoy ikr, this "a lot of people on the internet have the same issue" need to be have a stronger prove
@@afletra www.motorcycle-talk.net/forum/mt-07-fz-07-general-discussion/1064-corrosion-build-quality.html
Just a quick internet search. Sorry if it upsets you for some reason. I do own an mt07 and like I said, i enjoy the bike but it's very disheartening to have bought a yamaha and see it start corroding after 3 months of owning it!
I've seen something about the engine been slightly changed by moving the cylinder barrels slightly forward of the crank to improve longevity and increase fuel economy, is this correct?
No not correct.
@@JanisStrelkovs do me a favour, look up Motorcycle.com and check out their video called "Updated 2018 Yamaha MT-07 First look" The guy is saying there have been changes made to the engine.
Does this mean that the new one's suspension is still good for low speed riding or the old model is better for this?
I don’t think it’ll make a difference tbh. Keep tuned we have a bike on the way for long term testing. 😝
MT 07 UK Owners Club thx dear.
Am I silly that I purchased my mt07 a week ago? I should have waited for 2018 model.
It's my first bike and I love it tho.
nah, they give us a reason to buy the new model, 2017 looks better IMO
vincewooo Im thinking about the same thing since it's on sale right now
Really depends on which one you think looks better. I prefer the old style over the new/updated one. I got a 2016 in 2017 and still think it looks great
The new one's face looks like the old mt09!
If you're serious about suspension, you'll still want to upgrade the new model anyway 😁
hi Sir will it suit for short riders like 5 feet
with a lowering kit you'll be ok.
Did you find out about the handle bars?
Sorry I forgot to reply, yes they’re mounted with rubber bushes for 2018 same as on the previous models
From what I've heard it's quite bike specific. Some bikes are worse for this then others. Mine is totally fine for example. Maybe you could try putting a large washer in there as some people have done?
Shit i have only had my new MT07 for about a month and now they are updating it. I am sure the price will go up a fair but and i am still over the moon with my bike. Does the new model look very different?
+Paul Jones the 2018 has got completely redesigned body work however stance wise etc it’s the same as the old one.
MT 07 UK Owners Club thanks for the reply. I am not even going to pull pictures up of the new bike. I think that my bike was one of the best looking bikes in the showroom and my local dealer sell Suzuki and Kawasaki too.
+Paul Jones we couldn’t agree more! Don’t do it to yourself 😜
MT 07 UK Owners Club 😁
I just purchased my MT07 a week ago....I should have waited a little :(
Will there be a Moto Cage 2018 version?
+Kristijan Đurđević we do not know. As far as I know there won’t be.
MT 07 UK Owners Club Thank you! Too bad, I really like Moto Cage version.
You could contact Yamaha they sell moto cage kits. I ever saw a blue mt 07 with a blue moto cage kit.
Any weight loss for 2018?
+david rodriguez as far as we know the weight is exactly the same as the current model
Yamaha Mt-07 Or kawasaki z650 2018 🤔
MT all the way. Lots more power and grunt, more roomy ergos, less buzz, better sound (different crankshaft design), and equal or better fuel economy.
Shame that it doesn’t have USD forks, it would look 10x better.
We agree however it would mean the bike would be allot more expensive and detract from its value for money factor.
Is it day 1 of work for that reporter? Cuz waw.....he's fidgety AF lol. He said that he's the founder and something else of something else but..im not buying it lol!!!!!! He rushed through saying that almost as if he didn't want you to become aware lmao!! All good tho 😌
He's not a reporter. He's a founder or founder member of the MT 07 owners club. I'm guessing his regular job does not entail interviews.
To be fair I probably wouldn't be able to do any better!
Basically I filmed an interview and the Audio didn’t record. I was given a very limited time again for it so was very rushed. I literally had the time you see in the video. It does drive me insane me not looking into the camera. Just was distracted making sure everything worked that time.
Fuck buying a mt07 brand new. Go a 09
what an annoying video! so many close ups can't see the bike
Cheers for taking the time and effort to write a constructive and meaningful comment. ;)
