The three into one Polaris sleds are the best sounding machines to ever hit the snow…my opinion anyway 😂
Cheers gang 🍻🍻🍻
I think the only ones having more fun than you guys are the dogs!! lol
Glad you guys did this sled project 👍 Lots of good info on fuel injection
I agree with Tommy on the high idle thing, a buddy of mine had a 93 RXL that would do that high idle thing as well, then come back down.
Sounds like it’s working great! Just add snow! 🤷🏻♂️
Hope you guys had fun at ERX!!!
Cheers 🍻🍻🍻
We always do, but next year it's Tamarack!
Glad to see we aren't the only ones on the struggle bus, great video!!!
Thanks for watching!
Great series guys! I got 4 running RXLs and two projects. This Vid got me pumped to finish them.
Great to hear!
Best machine I ever had was the carbed 650, no body touched me, back then I was 150lbs that probably helped and my my buddy that worked at wild rose performance
A friend of mine had a 91 RXL and that thing was fast. I mean top end fast!
Watching utube for me is just that! A learning thing! Thanks for the class teach! Lol love you content!
Thanks for watching!
Hey was good seeing you guys at middle west mud in ... erx, i was the one talking to you guys about the bullwhip from ohio.
It was nice to meet you!
The chaincase you have was phased in on the 1991 models. The polaris website shows both the old and new style chaincases.
The evolution of the chain cases while still being backwards compatible all the way to 1976 TXs is pretty cool.
sled starts, dogs bark. id love to know what the dogs think. . the monster keeps waking up. . hold my bone. i got this..
The dog loves to run next to the snowmobiles. I exercise her that way off camera. She is saying "Hurry up. Hurry up."
I'm picking up Harley Davidson sled or maybe 2 and parts complete sled. And maybe 89 skidoo for a dicht banger. Nice birthday gift for my self
Awesome!
It's an EFI, Reguardless it should starton a couple pulls. Pinch off the return line see if it builds pressure
My 94 indy 500 efi starts on second pull every time. Even on one cylinder. Lol I need to bore the cylinders out since they are badly out of round.
Try using a hole Haag on the clutch to start the motor instead of pulling your arm off . Works great!
OK. We will try that.
Good work guys.
I’m glad to see it running. I’ve tried twice now to take my RXL riding at 10k feet and it just bogs and dies with the slightest touch of the throttle. Turns out there’s a MR setting that needs to be changed with the select monitor before riding that high. I’m going to try to mess with it Wednesday.
Let me know how it goes.
You’ll be hearing from me tomorrow morning.
I was watching this just chuckling because this was me trying to diagnose a weird issue I had on my 92 RXL last year. I checked everything you guys did and this year I picked up a Select monitor tool and started looking at all the settings and then I noticed there was a screw missing on the throttle body sensor and it was loose. I’m thinking that was my sporadic max of 7,000 rpm issue. Nutter, I’ll keep my eyes peeled for a nice RXL that needs work for ya! Nice work guys!
Thanks Shawn and good to see you could post instead of just reply.
@@nuttersspeedshop yep, the CZcams gremlins let me post this time
Just picked up a couple of old colts. A 175 single and a 250 twin. Both seized. Got the single free by hand but the 250 took a little more hands on. Both run strong.
Awesome!
Great video! 1990.5 rxl would be the one you need john
Thanks. Pretty much going to take what I can find. Just needs to be red white and blue.
God day everyone I’m having a great time watching your videos. Keep up the great work. My ride is a 1994 Polaris XLT SKS 580. Just getting it ready to hopefully get a few rides in this year but in getting my sled ready I just found 2 small slits in my 3-1 manifold. I was wondering if I can trail ride it this season as is or can this lead to bigger issues? Also how would you suggest repairing this? I can’t seem to find anything around d here or anywhere else in Canada.
You should be able to weld it up or find a shop that can weld it up.Or call Mohawk Salvage in Hibbing Mn and ask if they ship to Canada. I really don't know if they do or don't, but I'm pretty sure they will have the manifold. If it was my sled I would not ride that way.
🍻
I think Tommy likey! Great job guys is Tommy going to be a regular on the channel? Need snow for live on leafers! Have a good one guys
It turned out great. Tommy is great to have in the shop. Tommy and I have been doing sled project together for a long time. These last couple are just the first ones since I started the channel.
Pressure shouldn't fall off at all. It should hold it overnight.
about 40 psi on the rail
BTW where are you located
Minnesota. That snow is gone now.
Haha you guys all thought i was nuts 5 yrs ago when i started messeing with the RXLs now it seems everbody needs one! Im cringing watching Tommy with the happy thumb on the flipper! When you first fire one of these up the best thing you can do is step back for a minute and let it get itself situated. never just instantly grab the throttle or you will fight to see who wins and usually its the sled when it decides your a moron😂!
Miss ya Mike! Need to get together for a couple the next time you are in the neighborhood!
