My absolute pet hate is connections that have absolutely no slack an old saying I was taught when making off ends leave a bit of slack chances it will be me coming back to it when it comes to cable lengths better looking at it than looking for it... top quality work as per happy new year 🎉 👍

I also, ALWAYS install the highest power demand closest to the supply. As you know, Del, it's just good practice, even if the busbar and wiring can take many times the current.

I think the convenience of having the wires go where it's easiest trumps that particular detail. Considering that the screw terminal connections are by far the weakest point even thinking about the extra bus bar length is silly in my opinion.

When you go back, do the customer a favour and sort out that ill-fitting MCB in the middle of the board. I'm not one to be anal about different makes of MCB as long as it fits properly without bending the busbar etc. (even though strictly speaking they should be the same make and type tested for the assembly...) but that one clearly does not fit properly and will stop the cover going back on.
