I live in Colorado. I just failed my skills examine following your actions. It states that I failed #3 and they added in #6 as I rinsed both the bed pan and measuring container at the same time as you suggested on your video. I am crushed as this was my second skills test. I thought that your instructions were applicable to all states.
Are you sure you didn't pour in the sink
Hello, I am so sorry that you were not successful with the exam. The instructions on this channel are for people testing under Credentia. I just checked Colorado's website for nurse aide testing and they do use Credentia. Steps 3 and 6 requires the candidate to pour the rinse water into the TOILET. If you poured the rinse water in the sink, that is an automatic fail. I am sure in the video, I did not pour the rinse water in the SINK.
I have the same question. The sink is a NO-NO.

Hello, Yes, I am in Houston, TX. All states that test under Credentia uses the same skills. I taught these skills at my school until 2020, when Texas changed testing providers.

Hello, If the evaluator gets 142/84; you need to get between 134-150 for the systolic and 76-92 for the diastolic.
Your results must be 8 numbers from the evaluator's results. That is for both the top and bottom numbers.

Hello, Covering the bedpan is not a requirement.
is it okay to place the measuring container on the bedside table?
Hello, Credentia does not tell the student where to place the measuring container when reading the measurement. The student will need to measure at eye level. Towards the end of the skill, the container must be left in the dirty supply area. So, to answer your question, it will not count against you if the measuring container is placed on the bedside table.
Is it mandatory to dry the bed pan and measuring container?
Hello, It is NOT mandatory to dry the bedpan or measuring container.

What if the urin is above 450 but below 500. Would i record it as 475 or round it as 500?
I believe the book says round it to the next 25th increment up so 475 would be what I would do
The student needs to be 25 ML/CC from whatever the evaluator gets. The instructions in the Credentia handbook does encourage the student to round up to the nearest 25 ML/CC if the contents is between the measurement lines.

Hello Andrea, This channel is for nurse aide students preparing for the state exam. Nurse aides are NOT allowed by federal law to pass medication. Therefore, it would be inappropriate for me to teach a nurse aide to pass medications.

Hello, Credentia, does not require the student to dry the measuring container for this skill. You will not get marked off if drying the container.
